so this guy comes ringing out doorbell saying he's here to fix some door casing, and I'm not understanding a word he's saying because it sound like spanish or whatever, or so for nearly 10 minutes I'm sure we're trying to figure out if he's at the right place. So I try to call my mom, she doesn't pick up, and then I call my dad and he says that the guy is here to fix the casing for my brother's closet door. But during this I'm on my phone talking to my dad, and some other guy comes over, and I have no idea, and he says he's here for a book, I take it to him, he says I keep it and something else, I'm not sure since I'm on my phone. So now the guy to replace the casing is upstairs fixing my brother's closet casing, and I'm typing this with my ears all red in embaressment. It would be really nice if my parents would just once let me know if they're expecting anyone and what for, because when this happens I have no idea what's going on, and it's just so awkward. And I can't multitask well either, so it's so weird for me.
You opened the door for someone you don't know? Now I might have the paranoia of a fourth grader, but that in itself is sketchy as hell.
because I'm 17, in 11th grade, being homeschooled since 4th grade. "because I'm 17" Maybe that's why I opened the door to someone I don't know. I can't just leave people waiting at the door, especially if my mom's gone and dad is working
-_-.............................................why are you on khv and not doing your school work........................................................................these are the questions i need answered.
because it's a Friday, and tomorrow I have my ACT, and I've been reading a big, evil book preparing for it, so I deserve a break. Once I get the ACT done I'll feel much better. I really have nothing to do right now. I've got 6 weeks of chemistry left, which I can get done in 2 weeks, if I feel like doing 3 weeks in a week, and economics....well that can wait. I'll cram when I need to, but not right now
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Over winter there we had some really strong gales that caused a lot of damage to roofs, so a lot of builders and anyone looking for easy money were contacting everyone in the area. So we had a few dodgy guys looking to fix our roof but my dad said no to all of them. So, a few weeks pass and my parents were about to leave to the US. I asked my dad if he had asked anyone to survey the roof and he told me no. 30 minutes after they left a guy comes to the door saying he' here to check the roof. I thought he was at it so I sent him off. Dad comes home 2 weeks later and asks if the guy had checked the roof. The point of the story is parents are old and senile.
I don't know why, but that's funny. Maybe your dad was just so used to saying no that he didn't think about anyone coming over. But my mom says this guy was supposed to come yesterday, but if he didn't come yesterday, isn't it kinda expected they come the next day? I mean, you shouldn't be late on the day you schedual anyways, but still. I told my mom that she and my dad need to make me a list of who might be coming to our house for days like that, so I know what to do. They never tell me anything, and while I don't pay much attention, if they're going to be gone, I would like to know what to do
