My girlfriend doesn't want to try animes and thinks that they're for lowlifes...

So please help me tell her how wrong she is and how ridiculous she's being for listening to all those idiots on DA and other haters. I need you to help me give her some intelligent reasons that show her why animes are awesomeness and why she should watch them KHV. Gogogogogogogo.

 

Or any kind of reasons will do really.

 

Give her a big dose of Gurren Lagann and add Cowboy Bebop to taste. If that won't work, adapt Gurren Lagann to a novel format, ensuring that it's as badly written as Twilight. Then read it to her.

You could also respect your girlfriend's decision to be anti-anime.

Or your could leave her because you both clearly want different things out of life.

Oh, and you could also introduce her to Persona 4, then tell her that there's an anime that's based on it when she's done with it.

 

Or just not give a fuck and don't try and force your tastes onto other people.

 

Put some "Bleach" down her throat.

 

Problem is she won't even try the more popular ones like Bleach, Death Note and Full Metal Alchemist etc.

 

Well, most of the new and popular ones aren't very good compared to many of the old and popular and new but not very popular ones. Granted, Gurren Lagann is both new-ish and wildly popular, but it's an exceptio. Oh, and I've added more suggestions in my post.

 

All mediums have some pretty awful things in them. If people are just basing their opinion on anime off of tentaporn and fanservice, they're ignoring a pretty substantial sum of the whole. It's the same as if she liked cartoons and someone else said, "No I hate cartoons they're all Dora the Explorer shit." While Dora does fall into that umbrella, there's still so many other cartoons like Adventure Time, Young Justice and Avatar: the Last Airbender, which deal with some pretty heavy and interesting themes (Adventure Time's a bit more subtle with this, but ATLA and especially Korra were pretty blunt at times).

She's free to her opinion and all, but it's really moot to base your view of a medium as a whole on something that's not even considered a real representation of the overarching thing (anime in this case) in the first place.

If she wants something that might change her mind, Puella Magi Madoka Magica is only 12 episodes and will probably make her cry a lot before it's over.

 

I don't think you understand just how ridiculous she's being. The only anime she likes anymore is Yugioh. And before that it was just Pokemon and Yugioh. She doesn't have any friends and for obvious reasons. She's a complete nerd who has no taste in anything...She won't even try most of what's in the media...

If I didn't care about her I wouldn't have stayed with her for 3 years. That's how long it's been now. And there really is a limit to how much s*** a person can take. You should realize that. I've tried being nice to her about all this but no matter what I say she's still her usual self.
