Same backstory for my Beatles love. I'm guessing my dad's gonna give me his collection of the albums he owns someday ;D

"Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except For Me and My Monkey", "And Your Bird Can Sing", "Happiness is a Warm Gun", and pretty much all of Abbey Road dominate anything I hear on the radio in sheer enjoyment, and not because of some bandwagon effect, but because they're good at making music, while most of today's popular bands make more of a fashion statement than an attempt at making good music.

I wasn't hating on the Beatles or anything, I'm just getting annoyed of seeing them everywhere and hearing people talk about them all the time. :/

Comparing it to twilight? whoah not cool
Twilight had mindless little girls screaming for edward cullen or jacob black.
The Beatles were just the first real band ever.
Now that there's a new rock band coming people realize how much they used to like them and start listening again.
I didn't hear anything from the beatles untill a few months ago to be honest.
People who don't like The Beatles yet should really play the game, it'd probably open your eyes and let you see the beggining of rock music.

Well, to be fair, artists like Elvis were the founders of the rock 'n roll genre. The Beatles may have been the most influential band ever, but they we not the first.

She's not comparing the band with the book, she's comparing the hypes and the fanbases. And Beatles fans may indeed want to look out lest they get any more comparable to Twitards.
