My band had their first concert this weekend. It couldn't have gone any worse: The day of the concert, our drummer dropped out saying he had other stuff to do. So I quickly called up my friend Jimmy and he came over and we spent all day learning our songs. We reviewed the flyer for the club which said "drum set provided" and then loaded our stuff in the car and went. When we arrived, half an hour late, there was only one person there apart fromt he people who work there. None of us knew this person. So, we decided we'd play to about 3 friends who had come along with us. The fill-in drummer, who had spent all day learning our 10 song set list, asked the people at the counter, "Can you guys get out your drum set?" "What are you talking about?" they replied. So, in the end, we didn't play. No one was there, they didn't have drums like they said they did have, and we were all pissed. But we still pretended to play so we could tell everyone who didn't go how great it was. Here's the pics of us "playing": The dramatic opening song. Me providing some energy to the crowd (if you could call it that) during the closing song. Rocking out for the [four] fans who showed up. Like I said, it couldn't have gone any worse.
