Mirror to Dreams

"Robots." Lavara said, seriously and then cracked a wicked smile. "Naw, I'm sure their cool. Except that guy, I'm sorry but what was he playing at sending us the wrong way and then going to the headmaster's room anyway? Weird."

 

"Yeah... that was weird... But he looked okay." Raven said.

 

"Hm... I guess we'll see." Lavara cracked her neck, "I hope he's less of a jerk than I get a vib of, I'm probablly being paranoid."

 

"You've got the right to be. This place and these people, who knows what'll happen." Raven sighed.

 

"I guess." Lavara exhaled loudly, "Well, what now?"

 

Aiko shrugged. "I do not want anything to do with t-that m-monster thing. Though, if Raven goes, I'll go. But right now, I'm too scared to go exploring..."

 

"We can just relax here for awhile. You guys wanna chat about anything inperticular? I'm open to whatever." Lavara watched the light on the ceiling, twitching her fingers to make it change colors.

 

"Does this school ever get attaked by monsters or anything?" Aiko asked curiously.

 

Raven sighed. "That's why I did the research. This school has a history of disappearing girls. But the last time that 'situation' arose, there were twins at the school. The school hasn't accepted twins since and things have been fine. It's said that the girls were all between 19 and 22, and they were taken by things described as shadows."

 

"Interesting, sounds like this thing is coming around this year." Lavara said, slying putting in her belif that they were twins without saying it directly, "Maybe we'll be the ones to kick it's sorry shadow butt."

 

"I hope not. My power is controlled by my mind. The more stressed I get, the harder it becomes to use my powers." Raven muttered.

 

"Have you noticed it becoming more powerful as it becomes more uncontrollable?" Lavara asked, seeing a possiblitlity in Raven's powers.

 

"Well yeah, but that's not the kind of power I want." Raven said. "I want to be able to control it."

 

"Maybe you can, if you can learn to control it. If you want, I can help." Lavara sat foward in the chair, resting her elbows on her knees, her chin in her hands, and looking calmly at Raven.

 

Raven shook her head. "It's no bother. I'm fine if I can keep a level head."

 

Lavara nodded, "Okay, I was just thinking about how we could train you to keep a more level head when your stress is up." she was still nodding very slightly, "Well, I'm beginning to get rather bored, let's do something interesting."

 

"Like what? Exploring only got us lost... and this place is creepy enough without adding the 'lost' factor to it." Raven said.

 

"Yeah, I don't know." Lavara sighed, "Well, what do you think Akio? Any ideas on your end?"

 

Aiko thought for a moment. "I really don't want to get lost because we'll get into trouble, and I don't want to meet any slimy, icky, disgusting monsters on the way. Whatever Raven says..i guess. "

 

Raven sighed and stood up. "This isn't getting us anywhere."
