I think that this is the best news i could've hoped for.MGS4 was ment to be a PS3 exclusive and it should stay that way.I'm sad that Payton won't be involved in MGS5.He was snakes very soul.No one can replace him.I've also heard that MGS5 is supposed to be a prequel but that is to be expected because they can't continue without creating a new story plot and creating more meaningfull characters with admirable ideologies.

MGS5 is not existant, he said that not knowing what Konami wants Kojima to do. This is a rumor. Though I doubt it possible considering Snake died, also 4 stories have been fully linked and ended, and Kojima isn't the tpye of guy to ruin a plot for more money. Also, MGS4 isn't possible, the third party team that bought rights still has them, yes, but they took down the possbility of them making it from the site. But damn am I hoping!

Seriously though, this article is extremely old.

The idea of a MGS5 doesnt really appeal to me. After linking all four stories together in the most epic fashion possible, what else is there to explain? If they do make it, they'll have to make it pretty darn epic or even more so than MGS4. The last thing I want to see is some rookie get screwed mentally and physically yet again (and I'm looking at you, Raiden) and then suddenly become awesome and over-powered because we find out the bad guy who screwed him over is a ******.

If we see MGS4 on the 360, fine by me. It's not going to affect my love for the series whatsoever.

Jak i know that he wouldn't try and ruin a story by continuing the series, but it's supposed to be a prequel and it might be something way back.He might even remake Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.

The Metal Gear series needs to end.

And if they are making another sequel, then they need to wait until the next generation of gaming consoles are released.

An added bonus of graphics will attract more people to the game.

Don't worry, I don't think Snake will be in MGS5.

Metal Gear Solid 5 is going to be a prequel and i don't think snake is going to be in it.It might be apart of "Big Boss'" early days or maybe even "The Boss'" early days like when she had to kill "The Sorrow".

i wouldn't be opposed if they decided to remake the origianl Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake that were originally on the Nintendo. i played both but only beat the 2nd one and i have to say that it's worth playing *smiling at the memory of killing Big Boss with a flamethrower*

The only long-term future I see for MG is for Kojima to start doing other people's stories. No doubt there is an incredible reservoir of material in the MG mythos. He has a crap load of material at his disposal. I think it's about time he changes the direction or just works on something new altogether.

Stop giving David Hayter more work. The guy's gotten so full of himself, it's getting f*cking annoying.

I agree with that but i think David Hayter has the right to a big head after working nearly 20 years on a game that has become a legendary game.

I also agree with libregkd.Metal gear was ported later to NES and Metal Gear:Solid Snake never was ported to NES.
