Maximum Ride: The Greatest Foe

"It was wierd" said Zen.

 

"Hmmmm... forget it! Lets go to gym!" Angel said gettign up to the ring of the bell to go to next class.

 

"Off to gym" Zen said. He got changed in the locker room and went out with the rest of the kids.

 

Angel went to the girls locker room and changed into her gym clothes. She tied her hair up into a pony tail. She met up with Zen on the basketball/volleyball court where all the other kids were.

 

Zen saw angel and said "hi." But just then the guy from Ms. Weekers class looked at Zen and gave another evil grin and Zen tensed up.

 

Angel siad "hi" back and was watching what the coach was doing.

 

Zen said to Angel "did you see that wierd guy, this is the second time in 2 days that he's given me an evil glare. What's with him?"

 

Angel looked at Zen then at the kid who she saw yesterday. "I dont know.." She says looking back at Zen.

 

Before Zen could answer, thhe coach blew the whistle. Basketball time. Someonne passed the ball to Zen but before he could to anything the guy from Ms Weekers class knocked him to the ground. "Sucker" he sneered.

 

Before Angel got a ball she walked up to the boy red hot mad. "Whats your problem!" She said loudly. "Leave Zen alone!" She looked at him in the eyes, she had no choice but to use one of her powers. She focused onto him and made him think he was like a small ant, unable to bully anymore. The bully steped back and ran off away from them. Angel smiled and walked up to Zen. She put a hand infront of her to Zen. "You ok?" She asked waiting for him to grab the hand.

 

Zen now knew. He grabbed Angel's hand and helped pull himself up and said "what was that. Are you ... could you be... just like me" Zen said quietly

 

"What you mean? Just liek you?" Angel asked a bit confused, helping him up.

 

Zen looked around to make sure no one was listening. "Like a recombinant DNA life form, like me." Zen let a bit of one of his black wings appear a little. " I was one normal, then some things happened. Are you like me, and if not, can i trust you with my secret?"

 

Angel smiled and said back, "Awesome! Im one too!" She said letting little bit of her nose turn into a Tucan beak. She then turned it back before someone saw.

 

"Awesome" Zen said quietly. Then the gym coach came over and said "i need you two cto come with me. NOW"

 

Angel didnt liek the feeling of this but did what she was told. She followed the coach.

 

When the 3 of them got to the room. The coach closed and locked the door. Then he turned to Zen and Angel with an angry look on his face.

"What the hell do you think you two are doing. If you want to fit in here the you have to stop with the whole super strength, mind control, avian kid stunts. I convinced the other teachers that know to give you another chance, biut you two have got to try and blend in."

 

Angel looked shocked at there teacher. "How YOU known about that stuff!?!?" She said still shocked.

 

"Because I am one of the people Jeb Balchelder sent to protect you. But be warned, that guy who's mind Angel just tampered with is one of the School's minions. He started with mind warfare on Zen and then he tested his strength and anger by bullying him. There are more of thise people here so be careful."

The bell rang for the next class and the teacher opened the door." you'd better get to your next class now, and remeber no mutant stuff."

 

"Yes sir." Angel said almost depressed. Lookign around she skipped away to Art class.
