Chain of Memories Marluxia's hair color

If you look hard, you might find a differance, but I don't know.

 

The third image looks pink to me...

And the first image looks sorta like a muave, which is a pink-ish brown...*

The second image is pink, no doubt about that....

*EDIT: I compared it to this and it looks more like brown than mauve...​

I basically think that in Re: CoM, they placed it lighter and more pink, in other words, they changed it. You can see that even in the official art and the GBA sprite, Marluxia's hair has a slight pink tone to it despite it looking brown. The exact color of Marluxia's hair in Re: CoM, in my opinion, is more Puce, a shade of pink. Mauve could work too. Whatevere the case, the tone has been changed from dark, to a more lighter one, but is still basically the same sense of shade from the GBA. And it also depends on the lighting in Re: CoM. Like in the second picture, is hideously close to match the one in the Marluxia sprite because is darker.

In the GBA, is definitely more of a brown with a sort of pink, there's no doubt about it.

I think we can basically put Marluxia's color a puce/mauve, with a shade of brown or blond somewhere. From the most recent official art and the KH2 Opening sequence:

Marluxia's hair is magical, it seems xD. Whichever one though, we can agree that it had pink somewhere.

Maybe there's a difference when it is in the GBA screen, than simply a picture of the said sprite.

 

In my version, Marluxia's hair was bright pink, like it is in Re: CoM.

The only one I though was odd was the color of his hair in Sanctuary... it looked very blonde, with pink highlights.

I think maybe different versions had different colors...

 

i think its really pink. for somereason it keeps changing

square enix cant think what color will it be.

 

Maybe its just a goof up and hoped no one noticed. Remember when they made Cinderella a brunette? If not, watch the KH1 intro, here stained glass image is a brunette.

I think Square probably just thinks no one but the most hardcore fan would notice.

Kinda like how Sora got blonde highlights in KH2.

 

If you can, would you be kind enough to post a picture of his hair? In your version of the GBA game.

Pink not brown...

 

It was considerably darker in the GBA version, or at least...not STARBURST PINK!! 8D

I think the color change was done as an accident of aesthetics or memory. *Compare the change of eye color to Larxene, it's slight but she has blue eyes in some sources and green eyes in others.*

Anyway, if it's a matter of aesthetics going lighter makes sense on the cover art and therefore in game as lighter colors have much greater color range than darker colors, and given the background is white for the half Marluxia was on for the cover art, it makes nearly pefect sense. Another thing to compare would be that Xemnas's hair in the same official art magically has blue shadows/highlights and he is darker in tone. Another character that has a fairly odd "error" would be Xigbar and Xaldin (though their inconsistancies are much smaller). 8D

There's many reason's to why they wanted to change his hair...but why does it matter? I saw his hair, and it did look Pinkish-brown...or hot-brown...that's all, they just thought that it would be more proving if he had the same color Nomura wanted him to imagine him having in the game...why does it matter whether his hair is brown or pink? Honestly.

For mine, it's pink for his sprite model but in his talking headshot, it's brown...

 

It's like a pink with a tad bit of brown mixed in.

 

Yeah...I remember, but does it really matter what the color of his hair is, what if his skin was pink as a flower too? And last I checked, the roses I looked at on RE:COM, were a dark-crimson, not pink.
