You know as well as I do that we need to assume, it is a function of socialisation, to see male and female. Man and Woman. We place masculine and feminine qualities on inanimate objects in our minds, of course we'd presume the same for online identities. It is part of how our minds work, it is not something that we can and can not do, it is a part of us.

Just because it's another possibility doesn't mean it's the most likely.
And if you lie about who you are to others, then that doesn't affect anyone as much as it does yourself, no?

Why is it a function of socialization? Why can't we all be genderqueer instead? Why is sex and gender a part of who we are?

Separating people into male and female is similar to separating people into good and evil. It is a function of interaction and bias but the world is not so simple as that. The only thing either separation could change is how you look at them. It does not change their personality.

"If you can talk about Tao, that Tao is not Tao itself.

If you can name something, the word does not stand for what it really is.

What you cannot name is the beginning of heaven and earth.

What you can name is the mother of all the material beings.

Therefore, without mind, you can see the surprising Tao.

With mind, you can see its manifestation.

Both of them are the same thing, coming out with two different names.

This same being is called Dark Depth.

At the dark depth of this Dark Depth, lies the gateway to the various surprises of Tao.
    "

It is this kind of thinking that propagates homophobia and sexism (and general self-righteousness when it comes to good and evil).

    Likelihood was never the issue.

It affects the way others treat me, so it affects me the most, yes. Specifically, what sex others think I am directly affects the way they treat me. That is a problem regardless of if I am a girl or a boy. I would prefer to have the benefits of both and the disadvantages of neither.

Any conclusion the public reaches will be worse than ambiguity. I do not forfeit a game while my King is still standing.

So you'd rather go for a stalemate? Well I'm not going to bother with debating in this thread. I already know how this is going to end.

But you're also Japanese so you're incredibly moe as well.

I would rather keep going until the game was over, is what I mean. I use everything I can to my advantage. Resourceful and opportunistic by nature.

A stalemate is better than a loss. Wouldn't even you agree to that, from your perspective?

I' m surprised he kept speaking English rather than Gobbledigook, formal language is such an obvious bias vector.

I can only see the humour I using a Daoist scripture against me as hilarious. I admire it, and reinforces my ideas about my ideas on the Tao Te Ching.

You yourself do not see yourself defining people into catergories, into the right and the wrong, into your friends and enemies, into players and pawns. To think that you are any different from any other human being is a farce.

    But you should read on:

When people see some things as beautiful, other things become ugly.
When people see some things as good, other things become bad.

Being and non-being create each other.
Difficult and easy support each other.
Long and short define each other.
High and low depend on each other.
Before and after follow each other.

Therefore the Master acts without doing and teaches without saying.
Things arise and she lets them come; things disappear and she lets them go.
She has but doesn't possess, acts but doesn't expect.
When her work is done, she forgets it.
That is why it lasts forever.

The game is over though when you're only down to a King. You can delay your fate all you want but there are only two options left. Loss or stalemate. Gotta love these chess metaphors.

I personally don't see losses as a bad thing. Everybody has to know when to fold 'em and retreat. There's always next time.

I want to add that it takes a pretty big man to admit that he has lost, otherwise it just leads to more arrogance. As long as you were consistent and showed commitment, admitting defeat just means you can start learning from your mistakes. Anyone who thinks that it makes you a weak-willed loser needs to reformulate their principles.
This is something you sort of lack, Mak.

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe...

    Good, I got to you.

I fully realize the contradiction and embrace it. Because of this, I am able to see pawns as players and players as pawns.

I have a great desire to realize the contradiction and embrace it, so even if I fail in a pressing moment, I am not blind to the relationship.

I desire a thing? No, I desire to be free of the desire. I eat so that I will not be hungry. So it is with all desires.

Masculine and feminine are not opposites. You must first create the divide and then put them at opposing ends of a spectrum in your mind before there can be a relationship between the two.

Incorrect. This is true if you are playing a computer or someone without weaknesses, but there is always the chance that they will make an incredibly stupid move and allow you to get into a true stalemate between two Kings.

I have the determination to play something out until a conclusion is reached. I do not believe in stalemates. In reality, there are no rules like in chess. There will be a moment when the other player grows inattentive and you can take advantage of their moment of weakness. The same applies if I am the one who does this.

This is not just any game, remember. This is about my personality, and trying to define it. I will not profit from backing down and letting others define me in ways that I am not happy with.

You got to me before you realised it, and have I passed that point of anger.

Your argument is then, 'I know I place people in a duality role, that's fine. Everyone else's use of duality? Completely wrong.' Seems incredibly arrogant.

You misunderstand the text if you think simply that your mind can fight what is part of nature. Nature is a constant, unwavering, and unchangeable. You miss this in the text and what it compares to other things.

Have you read the whole of the Tao Te Ching?

And this is why few want to argue or discuss with him much anymore.
