DO NOT READ OR WATCH IF YOU ARE UNDER 17! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No More Heroes is a brand new M-rated gore fest for the Wii from Suda 51, creator of Killer 7 and Contact. It follows the story of otaku and slightly perverted Travis Touchdown who had just recently won a beam katana in an online auction. He went to this fight bar and saw this hot French woman named Sylvia Christel of the UAA, an organization for assassins . I have no idea why they would have an organization. Really. >.< Anyways, she gets him to fight Helter Skelter, the 11th ranked assassin.. The duel ends, with Travis as the victor. He is now ranked 11 and has to defeat everybody above him so as to be number one. The characters are quite eccentric. Dr. Peace, the 9th ranked assassin, starts off the battle by singing karaoke in the middle of a baseball stadium. It’s crazy good. The game play is quite interesting. You hold the Wii remote high or low and press the A button to perform a regular slash, while B kicks and allows you to throw dizzied opponents. Z controls guarding and locking-on, and though the camera repositions automatically, you can center is behind Travis by pressing C. While holding Z, you can roll by pressing the control pad in the desired direction. Now, to get to each ranked fight, you have to pay an entry fee. You start off doing odd jobs, like lawn mowing, coconut collecting, and other interesting minigames. Eventually, you’ll unlock a shifty office building to enter. Here, you can get assassination jobs. So, I just realized this description sucks. The vids will help make more sense of it. Ask questions if you want a clarification on some of the stuff. This game looks like alot of fun. I'll go to my friends' house and play it on his Wii since I don't have one yet xD
This is my most anticipated Wii game after Brawl. It looks amazing, and you really can't go wrong with a Suda 51 game.
You really can't. Killer7 had wierd gameplay (for me at least), but I kept coming back for more. It's the plot the keeps me hooked most of the time. But it seems that with No More Heroes, it's gameplay and characters. I also like how he's tackling social issues this time around. Every character represnts some part of society. Or the kooks in it. It's very different, very unique. And it has some very good art direction. Just now I was looking back at the Killer Carnage clip and I was laughing at the violence. It's just so damn funny. And I never laugh at violence where people die. O.o Am I still sane?
