Love in the Snow

Lynn had got news of one of the organization members getting hurt and as owner of the resort it was her duty to check it out. Even if she rather not of. This is....what's the ord...annoying maybe? She thought to herself as she enetered the room where they were in after knocking on the door "How is the one who got hurt?"

 

With Marluxia quietly next to him watching the nurses and Larxene, Zexion simply took the "woman's" answer without much negativity. Knowing they had nothing else to talk about , he simply followed the Graceful Assasin's eyes and checked over Larxene, wondering just how this whole Axel and Larxene situation would end. He had almost lost any thought of the redhead coming out of his mental disability to understand, and he didn't know how long the blonde girl will remain this hollow vessel because of it. Shifting his eyes once over the "woman", whose name he still didn't know, he found her drifting from Marluxia to Larxene, almost as if lost. Giving the pink haired man a look as to not be offended, he stated silently, "Marluxia is the one who likes her as well, but she doesn't feel the same way. The typical love triangle. Nevertheless, Larxene is close to him. If I touched her, she would probably claw my insides out. Well...what she will normally do. Now, I don't know..."

Marluxia gave a a glare at Zexion, but it didn't bother him as he did give him permission to do so, and he made up for it by adding that they were close. And it wasn't like it was a lie either. He did have feelings for Larxene, and he had come to terms with the fact that she had feelings for Axel...the main reason why she was like this, though by this point, he was uncertain on that. If Axel wanted her back, he was going to go through hell to even let her give him the time of day. Which, as selfish as it sounded, he was hoping for. His thoughts were disrupted, however, when a female knocked at the door, and peered inside, asking how was the patient...or Larxene.

How many people were here now?

Larxene just quietly let them tend to her like if she was bored out of her mind, though she just didn't want to be here. As they began to dab the wound with some antibiotic, feeling like some empty doll they were playing doctor with, she lookedd at the old bandages, and saw just how bad the blood flow was. Maybe that was part of the reason why she was so weak...blood loss. When she heard a new voice resonate throughout the room, she simply turned her head a little, catching another person coming in...more people. Did she just have a sweet scent that kept them coming like some unavoidable attraction? Or was it that someone was in need of medical help that it was such a big deal? Sighing, she just stayed there, until when one was dabbing her gash and a finger stab it, making her body shrill with a shock of pain that shook her to her spine, that she jumped, snarling, "Ow, damn!! Watch it, b*tch. Ow.."

Wincing and gritting her teeth as she horribly coughed, she was more surprised to find out that she was able to speak. It sounded more like she was gasping for breath in a rasp, truthfully, and the little voice of hers that came out was somehow like she was trying to say something as someone was strangling her. But at least she was able to be heard, as the nurse apologized profusely as she patted her back to ease the coughing, while the other two tried to fix the mistake. Larxene knew it was a accident, but still...that hurt.

 

How... how did he....
“I see..” She murmured. It amazed her how he, so quickly, understood what was going through her mind... it was as if he could read her like an open book. It was obvious that these three were not anything like regular people... as was she, though she always kept that part to herself. The sudden appearance, the uniform clothing of the two and their resistance to have the nurse examine her was enough evidence she needed. Though a tiny speck of curiosity tugged at the back of her head to know more about these people... and their powers. Looks like she wasn't the only one in the resort who was preternatural. She decided to investigate on this matter later, now clearly was NOT the time.
So this was all a matter of a love triangle, and from what she recalled, Marluxia, not so long ago, was down by the lobby bickering with a certain redheaded man... and from what she understood, and inferred on, the attitude they had toward each other clearly stated that, that particular redheaded man must be the third corner of this triangle. It seemed quite evident, from what the gray haired man had said, it's all a misunderstanding, also considering how Larxene was acting, it had to be... no doubt that she liked that man. Interesting. So why wasn't the redheaded man here? What was holding him back?
Ren's head jerked up at the sound. She speaks! Well... perhaps, not exactly what you might want to hear when you hear one speak for the first time, but at least she seemed to be snapping out of her dazed look. Looks like she wasn't completely lost in thought. Recalling what the gray haired man's last words were, she seemed to understand a bit about Larxene... perhaps not the friendliest person, insomuch as she'd claw one's insides out if there was unwanted contact. It was intriguing how the sweet face of the woman contrasted to her attitude; from afar, on one would know.
The gray haired man was— no... what was his name? She'd learned the name of the other two indirectly, but it suddenly came to her how she hadn't introduced herself to the “guests”.
“I'm sorry...” She spoke tacitly, not wanting to disturb the others. Extending a hand towards the man she spoke, “I didn't quite catch your name. My name is Re—” Another knock, another guest.
“—nnnn.... hel–loooo.... may I help you?”

Suddenly her room had become a watering hole for everyone in the lodge.

 

OOC: Okay, um, do we wait for RA, or...keep going? o.O

 

OOC: I guess... uhh... O.o' oh boy... hmm... I say go on... I'll acknowledge her presence and answer her questions... O.o I mean how far can we get before she returnes.

 

OOC: I don't know how far...

Zexion stared at the new arrival for a moment, spotting the pin where a title was blaringly inscribed Owner/Manager, and it was then he realized the importance of the female, as well as how she knew which room to find them in. He didn't answer her question, and instead, went to concentrate on Larxene once more, quite startled to hear that she had indeed, spoken. It was small though, and it didn't sound that good. He had noted that the woman was about reveal her name, "Re----", though, the owner of the resort was now in the picture, and he didn't respond as such. The light brown haired girl was something quite intriguing herself, nevertheless...he had 'smelled' some type of aura around her, the essence of kinetic energy...and it made him wonder for a moment, just what was she. She also seemed surprised when he figured out what she was thinking, though he knew how to read people, and was sharp and perceptive...it was the reason why he could spot Axel and Larxene's feelings for each other from long ago, before now, even. Her eyes going to Larxene and Marluxia confused and questionable, made him know she was contemplating on what the two were to each other, packed with the fact that he had mentioned Larxene had a boyfriend. He didn't forget about that. And it was how he deduced that Larxene's staring at the wall, was a signal that she was exhausted, didn't want to see anyone, or even be close to people. That especially was fact, from the annoyed expression as her blue eyes jetted around all of them.

Marluxia just sighed, wondering when the nurses were going to be done, yet now, before they wrapped the bandage back again on the forehead, two of them took notice of the female that came up at the door, while the other went to continue. Considering how Larxene had said her less than pleased words, it was depicted from her face that she was having enough with the flow of people. However, he didn't know what to do. The nurses would not leave until she was deemed fine, they were in a stranger's room, and...he didn't think leaving Larxene alone would be such a good idea. He had a hunch.

“Oh... OH!†Ren quickly walked over to the young female as she walked into the room inquiring about the “patientâ€. Recognizing the face (from a photograph) and the name & title inscribed on her pin, Ren immidiately knew this was her new boss, as well as her latest student. “Forgive me. I did not recognize you for a moment. You are Lynn, my new intern/boss. Come in please.â€
She guided Lynn, passed the gray haired man (so close, so close to learning his name), who was now once more concentrating on Larxene. He was deeply concerned for her, perhaps more than just concern for her health, but for her emotional state as well. She led Lynn to the two seat sofa located not far from where the man stood, near the beautifully draped window and the warm fireplace. As she politely asked for her boss to take a seat, she gestured to the man as well. The nurses won't probably be done for another good fifteen minutes, might as well just make yourself comfortable meanwhile.
“She's fine.†Ren answered to the question Lynn had asked. “They are taking care of her, she should be well and energetic by tomorrow morning.†Though she knew that probably won't happen, even if she didn't know Larxene all too well. Her understanding of the “situation†those four (including the red haired man) were in... it seemed it's be a while before anyone would feel energetic. Larxene was obviously hating all the presence in the room, her eyes said it all. They practically cursed at them all, silently, soundlessly.... shouting LEAVE ME ALONE. Perhaps it'd be best to send her off to her rest after this, somewhere peaceful and quiet where she can have the time she may need for herself.
Ren also realized the suspicious looks she was receiving from them as well, especially from the gray haired one. It was already troubling for her when she realized he'd so openly read her, thus she'd immidiately closed her mind... wouldn't want to reveal her darkest thoughts now, would she? She'd also noticed how he observed her, closely, trying to figure something out, about her...
The room had fallen into a cold and bitter silence, and the atmosphere only tensed by the seconds.
“Umm.... Can I order anything for you all? Coke? Juice.... Coffee?â€

Anything to break the silence.

"I'll stand." She said when Ren offered her a seat. "I'm sorry to interput. I'm glad to hear that everything is fine here. Is there anything at all I can do to help?" The awkward silence was nothing new to her. She looked to person to person, exmaining their faces making sure to commit them to memory

 

OOC: I'm having a block here...I don't know what to write except random thoughts of the characters ^^;.

ANF: Well... hmm... considering where you left off... Marluxia obviously showed up, and the and Axel had a brief argument about the whereabouts of Larxene and that she was being "kidnapped". REN, my OC, found Larxene and took her to hew own room, and as Larxene was being movied, Zexion and Marluxia quickly portalled out to find her, leaving Axel and Devon alone. Before leaving though, Zexion once again left Axel with a couple of thoughts (practically a virtual smack on the head) and Axel is now almost realizing his mistake(s) he's made with himself and Larxene... Aaaand you... my dear.... totally STOMPED on his foot (metaphorically his HEART) when he was being hella emotional... I think you just made hin suicidal... O.o'
And Axel still doesn't have her arm... I would've gotten to that on the next post... but you've put me on a block here... I needed Devon to be a little affectionate... not hostile. xD


*TwilightNight*: .... I know what you mean... O.o' uhh just go on ahead and write all the emotional thoughts... that way there'll be something at the least. Not to mention I like reading the thoughts they have.

Devon had calmed down while they were talking, she had felt bad for shouting at him. "I'm sorry, but I didn't see anything", she admitted, "Are you sure your okay"

 

OOC: I don't know what to make them think either xP. I described Larxene a lot, and I don't know what else I can add that won't be repetitive, and Zexion and Marluxia are just simply watching, and I could just add their thoughts when the time come for them to say something. I'm waiting for the inspiration, but for now, I'm simply listening to Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) by Enya...very calming.

“Yea.” he mumbled.
It was futile. What would she know about the state he was in. She was neither his ally, nor his comrade. She didn't... she wouldn't know about what was going through his head, through his heart, which he so strongly believed he had. He still wished Devon had given him an answer. He'd never felt so low... so unworthy of something... of someone, someone like her. Devon looked confused as ever, though she did reply, but not to his question. He gave a small chuckle, realizing just how shattered he was. No matter how strong he might've acted, the truth was, he was only falling apart from his loss. He wished for this night to end. He wished he could go back to the moment before he'd bothered Larxene with her cookies. He only wished he'd just left her alone from the beginning, at least she'd still be his, even if only from afar. He clenched onto the counter, he was losing his strength to even stand up straight. He needed to be alone.... alone... alone.... That's right... he was alone in this.

He'd lost the only thing he held so dear. The only thing....
O Larxene... please forgive me....



With no one wanting anything, she decided to drop the subject, though she'd loved to have a drink at this point.
“It's fine.” She replied to Lynn. “You don't have to do anything, the nurses will take care of it.”
She looked around the room once more as the silence returned. The nurses seemed to be getting uncomfortable as well, and were now speeding up, trying to finish as quick as possible so they too can leave and get out of this awkward situation. Ren felt a little sorry for them. Looks like everyone was just lost in thought.
She merely stood there, between Lynn and Zexion, scratching her head, wondering what could she do to get rid of this damned awkward silence. She hoped... oh how she hoped that the ball won't be anything like this... Hell, it BETTER be not like this.

Devon saw that he was losing his ability to stand, "You don't look okay", she stated

He just wanted to fall on the floor like he had in the snow. He wanted to just lie there, stare into space and lose his consciousness.
“I'm fine... I'm fine.†He said, trying to keep his voice from breaking from the tears he choked back. He steadied himself, supporting his weight on the counter. He wanted to go after her, hold her once more in his arms, and whisper his words of love to her ear. What was it that was holding him back? He heart said go on, but his body didn't move. He'd never paid attention to the world around him, for there was nothing in it that could ever hold him back, but for the first time he saw life for what it was.... Life was cruel.
