Chat Room

Maybe it's just me, but quite a few of the forums I visit have chat rooms. I feel that a chat room should be something to look into because it's more fast paced and we don't have to scourge the place for an interesting thread.

 

We already have other kind of chat rooms.

We used to have one on IRC, I don't know if it's still up and running. Andwe have another one I know is running and I will post the link up here in a few miniutes.

I don't know how many times a shoutbox have been suggested now, It would only result in flaming etc considering you don't even have to be a member to post in one.

Maybe get a chatbox

Hmm well we used to have like a chat (IRC ) which caused a lot of **** >_> but that wasn't directly with the site, that was member based.

This idea has come up on several occasions, and actually I wouldn't object if there was one, it would need to be managed properly and done through the site, but I think it could be a good thing.

I'm not sure how we would get it done though, I think it would have to be done through Spdude and I would only want staffers to moderate it, no offense to members.

A lot of people have been against this before so it is unlikely that a lot of people will give their support.

I do think if it was done it would have to be something more uh professional than chatango >_> No offense.​

A nah from me. It would be a nice idea, but it would get out of hand fairly quickly. Too much hassle.

 

I'm sorry but no. I have been on sites before that have chatboxes or shoutboxes and they are just a place where others can flame each other and all. So I don't really think anyone would go there. And if they did, then why would they talk when they could just flame?​

It would be nice though. I don't frequent a lot of forums, so this would be the first time seeing something like that. but if it gets out of hand, and people start flaming each other, that would be total chaos.
