I JUST DO NOT GET IT!!!!!!!!!

I cannot for the LIFE of me win at this game! I am stuck on the first major boss fight in Luxerion and it just cannot understand the stagger thing, and the clock, and the openess, but its not really open.

I just want to enjoy it and play through the story but its so stupidly hard! HALLLLLLP

First major boss? So Noel? Staggering basically has three tiers. Using magic raises the stagger rate and eventually it starts flashing, keep up the pressure and it'll reach the next level. Once it's red, unload as much magic as you can and finish with a strong attack like heavy slash if you can, the enemy should be staggered. Then use overclock to make the most of it.

 

Play on Easy, simple.

 

Please don't tell me that they made an easy mood FOR A ****ING RPG!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the recommended mode to play on. Normal is insanely hard, you don't unlock full character progression until you beat the game under certain conditions and unlock hard mode

 

So let me get this straight...

An RPG, which usually is something that depends on how much you level up and train/equip your characters...

Now has modes.

You can't level up, you get stats by doing quests

I am never touching FF again. Though now I'm looking forward to Spoony.

 

why does it have to be the same thing as everything that came before
i know nothing about the game but breaking the mold isn't bad by default

 

FF XIII has had Easy Mode since XIII-2.

Two, I can still like KH and not like FF anymore. It's a free country.

And I really haven't gotten into FF since X, admittedly. I tried XII, gave up, tried a bit of XIII, lost interest and forgot about it as soon as I did...

 

I think tummer's point is that KH is an RPG with modes.

Also, what about Persona? That has different levels of difficulty.

 

Never played Persona, and KH still has level up elements.

Don't worry, the XIII series has been the lowest point in the history of FF. FFXV will save the franchise from Toriyama's waifu bullshit.

 

FF14 was a far lower point, and beyond that this waifu thing is legitimately one of the most brain dead recurring comments I've ever read

 

XIV was great once they remade it into A Realm Reborn.

And Lightning IS Toriyama's waifu, a blind man could see this.
