If the Slavic languages and the Polynesian/Australian branch of the Austronesian languages had a baby, would we have a language with a perfect consonant-vowel ratio?

I agree with the first statement wholeheartedly! EDIT: Whoops, except the "over others" part which I will be getting to below:

The second, however, while I understand the opinion, I would not necessarily say it so in my opinion! There are a good number of languages focused on context or have an extensive variation in word order, such as German, Russian, and Japanese. Along with that, many languages have ... interesting specializations, for lack of a better term. If anything, I would consider English special in how it is the Red Mage of languages.

i really like english as the others have said. out of all of the languages i know, english is by far one of the most unique. specifically because it probably one of the most open to change. while english has some loan-words from other languages, more often than not you see other languages borrowing form english in order to fit into their structure. english rules are so loose which is why many foreigners have a tendency to have difficulty learning it, not really for the grammatical reason (because there are languages with far more complicated grammar such as russian) but because of the amount of slang used on a daily basis. many people ignore proper form unless they are writing a formal letter or essay, etc. and use words like "i GOTTA go". of course, "gotta" isn't a word, but it flows off the tongue better than "got to" does. coming from someone who has a father who came from another country (russia) who had to learn english and is now fluent with little accent, it takes a lot to not sound like a textbook while speaking english when you are learning the language, but it is indeed very pretty and different i think.

    dang tl;dr.

Hebrew's word order is beautiful, along with Arabic's.
Actually all of the Afro-Asiatic languages are rather lovely.

I think we can all agree that every single language in the world is beautiful.
