    It's not your language though.
It's the language you speak but in all fairness it's pretentious to call a language your language unless you straight-up made it.

    And English is ugly.

English is a very rich and sophisticated language. It's one of the few languages that sounds better when used properly and spoken slowly.

Well the letter S is better than the letter Z.

Well being germanic in basis that's something of an inevitability. If you're not fond of it fine - I personally find it wonderfully fascinating.

English is a mutant beast of the world's languages rolled into a giant Frankenstein monster-esque package. But out of this is something rich and sophisticated, as Shadowjak said.

If all of the languages of the world conducted an enormous party of a fairly sexual nature, and collectively bore a child, the child would be English.

The ugliness is probably the mind-bending orthography that makes little logical sense to speakers of other languages generally (and to English speakers as well at times), though personally I find the orthography of the Gaelic languages to be even more mind-bending for people used to English.

No, I mean English is fine, and I know these things, but I can't say it's the most beautiful language. It's an interesting language for sure but it is without a doubt a clunky language.

Aha! I understand what you mean. I suppose it depends on how one looks at it. Beauty is a subjective thing, after all.
Phonetically, I find a great deal of languages much more pleasing to the ear if that is what you are going for. Italian especially.

At least English isn't Welsh. Whose orthography is just weird. Never have I spitted so much trying to pronounce the character "ll".

The Celtic branch of Indo-European solely exists to destroy the minds of English-speakers who try to pronounce it, as a final take that against Germanic domination.

It is my firmly held belief - and it has been for some time - that the Welsh traded their vowels for Hawaii's consonants.

I find English a very poetic language that gives itself over to rhythm and rhyme more than others. Because the syntax is so flexible, you can turn a phrase seven different ways and mean the same thing, or turn the same phrase and mean seven different things depending on the word you stress.

Other languages are... More literal, confined. You can't switch words around in most languages and still make sense.

    And that's why it's beautiful

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Makaze again.
