Ghaleon nodded and began to train with the fire stone.

 

Maya began to practice with the water stone. Kyo and Miko went up to the heavens and talked with the gods. "Why would Kuja's reincarnation attack two infant girls?"

"I don't know..........." Aerith sighed, remembering when she was rapped by Kuja.

 

"Your guess is as good as mine."

 

Kyo thought of something while Miko comforted Aerith as she thought of her rape.

 

Cyrus did what he could to help her take her mind off of the rape.

 

Aerith sighed. "I think it's time to choose Endiness's new summoner." Miko nodded, "Maya is out of the question since she is the future goddess of wealth."

 

"The only choice would have to be Lena."

 

Aerith closed her eyes and placed the power of summons in Lena. Miko watched her.

 

"You'll have to teach her how to use her power when she grows up."

 

"I will. For now, the summon will quietly protect her and her sister."

 

Ghaleon finished practicing for the day and went inside.

 

Maya finished and went to the nursery.

 

Ghaleon sat on the bed, waiting for Maya to return.

 

Maya gently stroked the hair of her daughters and left, heading for her room. She entered and hugged Ghaleon.

 

Ghaleon hugged her back and kissed her.

 

Maya kissed him back and sighed.

 

"Something on your mind?"

 

"The attack. That man, he was the darkness I saw in my dream."
