Of course it can prove faith wrong; that is why not many people believe in random things with all of their might. Any claim can be called a faith if someone believes it despite logic and evidence to the contrary. There are just a few that have yet to be weeded out, like the faith in God.
If it has no solution, then it is invalid. An equation is only an equation if both sides are equal, and since your sides are not, it is not a valid equation. It is flawed.
It benefits my argument to prove to you that faith is not a standalone concept, and that you used some initial logic to get to this point; your faith is built on logic, but is is flawed logic. Why did you choose this belief over another? Because it was more likely, or because it was the first one that came before you? If you think it is more likely, then you must have a reason for this, and that reason is based in logic, being of reasoning. You hold the faith that you have now due to some logic in the past, and now that more logic is decrying it you are rejecting logic itself instead of your faulty premise. Little did you know that logic was the reason you chose this faith in the first place.
The impossible nature of choosing one faith over another without logic will eat at you, and you will come over to my side one way or the other. You are a creature of logic and what you have done is used logic to find a belief, and then disregarded it after that point. You sought after truth using logic until you decided that it was good for you and now you are refusing to solve the equation. You cannot get past that, because faith does not create itself, else we would have endless amounts of fundamentalists of random claims roaming the lands.

Actually, it does; it means that you are still capable of coming to terms with it, and that you are doing it, a little bit at a time.

    A debate on Faith?

Interesting. And Makaze, to further prevent any Roosevelt remarks, I might change it from Theodore to Teddy.

But we'll see when the time comes.

Or I'm going to remain constant. I can do what I want with my beliefs. you cannot tell me how my mind works. it's MINE. Only I know how mine works.

    Do what you want.
You do not know how your mind works because you did not consciously create it, and you cannot operate outside of it. The same is true of everyone. They are incapable of understanding themselves completely.

this is true i have not a full understanding. But I've been using MY mind for 15 years. (even if the first few don't count). Therefore I undoubtedly have a MUCH better understanding of how MINE works then you do. Even if I don't know fully. So you cannot tell me what it WILL do, because you cannot make it happen, and you have no way of knowing.

I find the faithful mind in particular very predictable, and psychology will have its way with you in the end. The human mind will naturally search out the logical truth, and you will be closer to it before you die unless you repress yourself in some childish attempt to avoid facing reality. There are two options; you will either accept the logic or you will deny it. Your mind will tend towards accepting it, no matter what your heart feels, so you will have to become very unhealthy emotionally to keep your mind from running its course.

No. That's not how it works at all. Now if you don't mind, we moved on from this.
