    or

    6÷2(1+2) = 9

    I think it's 9 because if you use BIDMAS

    You do the brackets first with leaves 6÷2x3
    You do division first leaving 3x3 that equals 9

    Also cos the calculator says so. xD

    What does the "I" stand for in "BIDMAS"?

    Parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction
    it goes left to right in any order. but now that i think about it, it would be nine... oh well.

    Ah, I'd heard BODMAS as well but I couldn't work out what the O stood for, so I used BIDMAS where the I stands for, like risk said, index/indicies. It means the same thing anyway.

    And Mach, you do what's inside the brackets first. 2(3) is just the same as 2x3.
