No, drinking isn't stupid because some people can, and I know this is such a foreign concept to you, actually THINK about what they're doing. But we can actually be RESPONSIBLE, contrary to your thoughts.

I have no problem with responsible drinking. Never said i did.

Getting drunk is a different matter. Everyone's a different person when they're drunk.

Um, how old are you? This is really not something you should brag about... and if your friends are "proud" of you for being drunk, then that's really messed up. Getting drunk is not a required part of being a teenager, and it's not something to be proud of. Don't be stupid. This is actually really disappointing.

And what kind of father gives a group of underaged girls enough alcohol to get them drunk?? That's insane.

Nick doesnt drink, I think he stated it once -.- and now I shall leave.

On a side note: I also think you should not drink to the point of being drunk, just drink a bit...

Quit being conformist. The father obviously respects the girl's right to explore the world, and knows that they would find a source of alcohol anyway. Not really that hard to find. And her friends aren't "proud" guys, that's just her belief. They're probably just happy that she agreed to join in on this.

It's quite funny how we are debating about underage drinking when we aren't in the Discussion forum.

I'm not being a conformist, I'm just saying my opinion, which happens to be that teenagers feeling some sort of "obligation" to get drunk is insanely stupid. And even if the father "respects" them, that's a totally irresponsible thing for him to do seeing as, obviously, some of the other parents didn't know about it.

I can still almost get drunk.

    Almost. A little bit.

    Edit: Did I say "I"?

    I meant you.

    Very true.

If the father hadn't given it to them they would have just got it from someone else, or even from a dodgy supplier who doesn't care about ages. If it was the father giving it to them he would be able to supervise to a certain extent and also control how much they drink.

Think of France <: Children get given alcohol there by their parents all the time, and grow up less likely to binge drink and harm their bodies.

Besides, this is probably SORA!'s first drinking experience, she probably just thought she was drunk but was infact just tipsy :v

Hard to get hammered off a few bacardi breezers shared out :v

This was a decent first experience. Sharing with friends, having an adult around, staying off heavier stuff... Most of us have an encounter with alcohol at some point, it might as well be a pleasant one.
Because let's face it; under other circumstances it might have turned out worse. Ending up in fights, getting pregnant, vomiting your guts out, waking up in the hospital etc.
It's nothing to be proud of but it sure isn't something you should be nagging about either. Go be a nun somewhere else thank you.

While getting drunk can be considered irresponsible drinking, it is still worth a try. You will be a different person, like Nick said, but we don't all evolve into ogres. Most people I know and drink with don't. It's a risk worth taking, maybe just once if the result is disappointing, but it's okay to try it out if you can handle the consequences (by which I mean that you can get back home safely).

And I ever see someone badmouthing alcohol or anything related to it again I will come down on him like the hammer of Thor. That is all.

Really, I'm kinda glad that her first time being drunk was somewhere relatively safe. She had friends and adults around and was at a home, not a rave or party or driving(!!). It's a good idea to try and learn your limits on drinking before you end up making a fool of yourself at a party or drinking too much at a bar.
I really wish she'd waited until she was older though. 21 is the limit for a reason. Yes, Society has set that up, and for some people that means its arguable to the point of death. But alcohol can do crazy things on a mind and can cause bad results. Careful next time. And please don't take that kid's advice and smoke Pot.
