THE ANIME ENDING WAS SO SAD! I still wish Light had cried. Maybe L should have said something. Can someone find me a way to watch the scene from ep 25 with Light and L on the roof in the rain? I have a feeling that it'll make me feel really sad about L's death...

Go on Youtube. You will probably find it there.

Also, I hear they made Light look even more pathetic in the manga ending.

I can only find the scene afterwards... but it shouldnt matter, that's the more powerful one.

Rolling around on the ground in both versions is pathetic enough.

Hm... Yeah, I guess. He stayed int he warehouse the entire time instead of running away, trying to escape. And not to mention he CLUNG TO RYUK'S LEG. That's just... yeah.

I somehow doubt that. Ep 37 he's desperately running away, even though his wounds won't let him get far. As he runs, he's obviously on the verge of crying. He flashbacks to the day he got the Death Note. Was it worth it? How had he changed? As if his past was mocking him, an apparition of his seventeen-year-old self walks by, still uncorrupted. Then he dies, cold and alone, by Ryuk's hand, with the ghost of the person who was just about his only friend standing above him. You know the really sad thing? Imagine, if you will, a world where Ligth never found the Death Note, but still met L. Imagine the good they could have done as partners. All gone, just because of Light's twisted sense of justice.

*bows down* You, sir, are amazing. I've been wanting to see that for so long. And in ENGLISH too! It's so sad. L was hearing bells all day, and when he died he remembered Wammy House and their bells. He knew he was going to die. The sad part is, I think he and Light could have been friends. And the feet-washing scene... I can see that many people squealed 'YAOI!'. And I write their names in my Death Note. The way the scene was composed was an obvious nod to L's submission. Light was sitting far above L, and L was crouched down, subservient to Light. L knew Light was Kira, but knew he was going to die before he proved it. So he admitted defeat to Light, even though Light didn't realize it.

    God I love Death Note.

One of the unique animes out there. Up there with FMA in my opinion.

OMFG ANOTHER PERSON WHO LIKES FMA *explodes*

My god, and there I thought I'd never know someone who liked FMA as well. Not to mention a philosophical, FMA has the best across-the-board English voice-acting I've ever seen, bar Death Note.

I know a friend at school who likes anime. He watches Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh. Do you think I should try to get him into Death Note or FMA? I get the feeling Death Note is too 'boring' (read: cerebral and mond-boggling) for some people.

I have noticed that some people who are fans of Death Note are highly intelligent, and are entertained from psychological mind battles. <_<

Anyways, judging from those animes, he may like it, depending on which part of the violence he enjoys. But I am sure he would like FMA. By the way, the manga is still going on, apparently.

@Yu-Gi-Oh!: Ew, someone who watches it? Let's hope he watches the Japanese version.

Agreed, Funi really outdid themselves when they dubbed FMA.

    Yes it is.

FMA is much, much more connected to science than Death Note, as Alchemy was basically a form of medieval chemistry.

By the way, interestingly enough, Square Enix is somehow involved with FMA.

Though, the Alchemy they do isn't really what the medieval people did.

Definitely not. We don't see people running around drawing complex alchemy circles on walls in a matter of a few seconds and suddenly touching them, making something random appear.

However, they still do talk about scientific concepts. What I have yet to see, is an Aether(Ether) Alchemist.

For me, a major pull of FMA is the unique 'magic' of their world. Having Alchemy as an incredibly powerful ability bordering on magic, but based around ground rules is awesome. I also love the recurring theme of Equivalent Exchange that Al evetually looses into a principal that there's an ebb and flow in the cycle of life. That One Is All and All is One thing was epic.

Then again, we can all drool over Greed and the explosive fight scenes. To each his own.

@Guy with japenese characters for a name: Yes, ew. he says he watched it years ago when he was a kid. So did I. YEARS AGO! Before I knew the meaning of 'quality' in anime. The poor sod even watched GX. Now we both LAUGH IN THE FACE OF YGO by watching Yu Gi Oh The Abridged Series.
