Seriously!!! Look at them!!! As for why he doesn't sparkle...he's so smart he discovered a super-amazing sunblock that blocks it out. AAAANNNDD....this proves he didn't really die. He faked his death. EAT THAT, YAGAMI!!!

it was a joke. L does die in both manga and anime, but because he's so popular he outlives the movie because he writes his name in another Death Note before Light writes it. So L has 23 days to live. Thus, in L: Change the WorLd, he has 23 days to solve his last case.

 

If anyone's the vampire, it's Beyond.

No offense, but he looks like L's evil twin that has taken drugs, gone mad, and cannibalized someone.

Well, he is sorta like an evil twin to L.
He IS mad.
He's practically done eveything to his victims BUT cannibalized them... or raped them.​

 

I have to find out more about this "Beyond". Was he from the movies, or fan-made?

 

He only appeared in the Death Note: Another Note novel, which you can find in hardback in most bookstores for 18USD.

 

Which is around the same price CAD?

There are two problems, one, I don't live anywhere near the bookstore, two, I doubt the closest ones would carry that book, or any Death Note literature for that matter. Maybe except manga.

Beyond Birthday (ビヨンド・バースデイ Biyondo Bāsudei), a character exclusive to the Death Note spin-off novel, "Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases," is a crazed serial murderer bent on surpassing L - not by being the world's greatest detective, but by being the world's greatest criminal. The novel, a prequel to the manga series, takes place in August of 2002, over a year before Light became Kira. Originally came from Wammy's House, like L, Mello, Matt and Near, he was known as B; which stood for "Backup." A, the original successor to L, had killed himself years earlier due to the pressure of living up to L. He was born with Shinigami eyes, so he could see when humans would die, and their names. He killed each of his victims on the day of their natural death.

To fool Naomi Misora, he acted and dressed like L during Naomi and L's investigation, calling himself Rue Ryuzaki (竜崎ルエ Ryūzaki Rue), with "Rue" being the inverse of the Japanese pronunciation of L (エル Eru), and Ryuzaki being a nickname L later adopts. He was always in heavy makeup when with Naomi, so his true appearance is unknown. He killed 3 victims, Backyard Bottomslash, Quarter Queen, and Believe Bridesmaid, while leaving clues at each murder scene for Naomi Misora to "solve." In reality, he himself led her to each conclusion she made.

He attempted to commit suicide at the end of the novel, by setting himself on fire, to look like the final victim. He felt that L would never be able to solve the case if the he, the murderer, were "murdered," meaning he would have outwitted L. Naomi Misora, however, figured out his plan at the last moment, saving Beyond Birthday's life while at the same time putting him under arrest for his murders. At the very end of the novel, the narrator states that Beyond Birthday died of a mysterious heart attack several years later in prison. According to Death Note How to Read 13, he was killed by Kira and the Death Note.

Me too. She deserved to live longer. Plus, that picture of her in the opening sequence with her holding Ray's dead body was so powerful I can't believe she died in bloody episode bloody six!

But I agree. I really liked her, even though she arrested my favorite character after dissing him multiple times.​

 

Anyone know how you pronounce Raye? I mean, do you pronounce it like Ray, or what?

 

I remember her, I always thought she was a minor character, being killed off so early, until you told me about the book.
