Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Kaida and Cat were continuing with their back and forth until Rinzler threw one at her again. This time, Kaida at least was aware enough to dodge it. But she lot a bit of her balance, and Cat used it as an opportunity to catch up a bit on her points. By the time Kaida was able to get away, Cat had gotten 3 points out of the deal. Kaida backed up and looked over at Cat, who was getting herself prepped for another throw, when Kaida saw Rinzler out of the corner of her eye, and she took the opportunity to throw her disc at him. This made Rinzler stagger back once hit and Kaida threw another disc at him. Cat threw at her and Kaida dodged it, and Rinzler dodged Kaida's.

When Kaida got her disc back, she threw one at Cat and another at Rinzler, but Rinzler threw his right as she did. The disc looked like it was going to collide with Kaida's, but it went just under it, scraping the bottom slightly so Kaida's disc flew up and over Rinzler's head while Kaida dodged her's, and lost another point to Cat who got her back when she was more focused on Rinzler.

This was going fantastically.

The sounds of another light cycle approaching him brought about another wave of concern that washed over him. Given that there was already two members of Team SARK chasing after him, his first assumption was that a third member had gone after him as well. If that was the case, Kel wasn't sure if that meant that yet another one had chosen to go after him or they changed target to him after derezzing one of their teammates. At that thought Kel hoped that it was the former that had occurred and not the latter. The issue of there being three light cycles heading his way didn't change though. Fortunately it turned out to be Aislinn who had caught up to him and not another Team SARK member. With the two of them this situation that he found himself in became a lot easier to manage. "Right." Kel nodded before waiting for her signal. When her countdown had ended the two partners had gone their separate ways, Kel left and Aislinn right. The latter had managed to catch Xara off guard, resulting in her crashing right into the trail in front of her. One down, one more to go and Noroz hadn't fallen for such a trick.

The data copy was still hot on his trail despite the sudden turn which bugged Kel just a bit. Both the persistence that he had and the lack of what he actually remembered about Noroz. He'd only known him through all of Deep Jungle, after that he vanished after going to some other world while he was in Nottingham, which also had a fair share of people appear and not leave by the time Kel himself had actually gotten out. Thinking about that now it was actually pretty depressing given the amount of times that it had happened. Not much recently, which was good. The loud sound of an engine brought Kel back to the match at hand. Still needed to deal with Noroz as he gained on him once again. Since memories of how he fought to find an weakness was out, especially since he mainly Noroz being fast this explaining how he was able to keep up with him. The easy way out of this was to use this to his advantage. Up ahead there looked to be an obstacle up ahead of them, a large wall to be exact. Looming over them as they sped closer and closer to it.

This gave Kel an idea, a risky one, but one that could work nonetheless. Being a fair ways away from the wall, he sped up wth the hopes that his opponent would do the same. His hopes were right as Noroz did speed up in an effort to over take him. This prompted a back and forth between the two to gain speed and while Noroz was doing so to overtake Kel, Kel was doing so as part of his plan which was still working perfectly. The wall was getting closer and closer with both racers having a very impromptu drag race with the wall being the finish line. Noroz had started to take the lead between the two however it wasn't enough for him to make a sharp turn and instantly cut Kel off. The seconds that they were away from the wall might as well have been minutes and those minutes into hours. Both the encroaching wall and Noroz's light cycle that continued to slowly get further and further ahead of Kel. Things started to look grim when suddenly made a sharp turn left, away from both the wall and Noroz. The latter stayed true to their drag race and kept driving straight and as well all know. Dragsters can't turn. The data copy crashed head first into the wall at, causing both itself and the rider to digitize. Part of him felt bad for this, but it was still a data copy and not the real thing. What he needed to do now was regroup with the others to see how they were doing.

Having just recently defeated his opponent, Stratos let out a deep sigh of relief as he continued to move along the area. Looking back he could see the remaining particles of red light from his opponent, only for those to slow fade away. The idea that hitting a wall of the opponent would do that to him was not exactly as comforting one to the boy, which made him refocus on the road ahead and start to look for the next battle to go towards. As it was, he had already defeated one of the four opponents that they had, which meant that his team members were likely being preoccupied by the others. Taking a look around, he saw that Kel was being attacked not by one of the members of Team SARK, but two. He had seemed to be preoccupied in dealing with the first only for the second to come out and try and stop him. While the boy started to turn his light cycle around, going to assist his blue haired companion, it seemed that Aislinn had already beaten him to it. As she approached Kel, it seemed that she had some kind of plan in store and so Stratos merely trailed away from the battle, not wanting to get in the way and potentially mess it up.

When all seemed clear, the two had turned in seperate directions, managing to cut off the data copy of the female member of the team. Having nowhere to go, Stratos watched as they were soundly defeated, being destroyed in quite the same way that D'daear had been. While one more of the enemy team members seemed to be hot on Kel's pursuit, the latter seemed to have another plan of his own in order to defeat the data copy. Trying to circle around the area, simply trailing behind to try and catch the enemy were they to break away from Kel, he watched in a bit of awe and confusion as the man had merely ended up running into the wall, destroying himself. He didn't really know how Kel had managed to do it, but Stratos was all the same impressed that he had gotten his opponent to basically cause themselves to lose. With that out of the way, there were three members down, which meant only one more was remaining. Looking around, Stratos saw the fourth member of the Team SARK gunning to cut off Hikaru.

Rushing to his aid, Stratos turned the light cycle around and started revving the engine up at full throttle. As he approached the final opponent, he yelled out, "hey, come at me uh...data....man...person." Much to Stratos's surprise, the digital copy seemed to fall for his ace taunting and rushed at Stratos. The boy soon realized something strange about the man's trajectory, seeing that he was instead heading for a collision course for Stratos. As the two nearly collided, they both turned at the same time, beginning to race parallel to each other. Looking over to his opponent, Stratos knew that he would have to find some way to outmaneuver them. And with a thought, the boy figured out a plan to do just that. Turning sharply away from the man, he seemed to turn in the opposite direction. As Stratos turned back, the man turned back as well, with both of them being a fair distance away yet still driving parallel to each other. Turning sharply, the man mimicked his turn so that they were now on a collision course for each other once more. However, rather than continue the same song and dance, Stratos merely sped forward at his opponent, gunning his engine. The man being taken by surprise didn't react fast enough for the turn, as Stratos turned away from him, leaving a light wall directly in his path. With the final opponent crashing into it, Stratos saw the sparks rain, as their victory had been secured.

Kaida kept on throwing discs between Cat and Rinzler, finding the combat slowly but surely beginning to point more in her favor. She managed to get Rinzler hit a couple more times before he slipped off to find other victims. This made Kaida happy, as it meant she could finally focus more on Cat. She was finally getting a handle on how this game worked, but as a result it seemed Cat was too. This only meant that the two were just playing with better skill, but were both at roughly the same overall skill level. Kaida got a couple points in, Cat got a couple points in. Then finally, Kaida decided to do something a little risky. She ran straight at Cat and jumped up and did a flip over Cat. It made her look pretty cool, or at least she thought so, but it also worked for practicality as she managed to get Cat in the shoulder one way, and finally in her back.

Cat turned around and got aggressive about it and she ended up pushed into the floor by Cat's disc. Cat pinned her down at this point and basically had the full intent of keeping her there while she ranked up points. But Kaida managed to squirm out before she really could. And got her one more time for good measure. She backed away and dodged, glad she was getting herself ahead.

Ignis continued her fight against Eon, trying to score up points and keep her opponent from getting more points. Unfortunately, she forgot about the annoyance throwing a disk from outside the arena; as she got off the floor from rolling away from Eon, she heard a whirling sound and turned around. As she disk, a disk came in front of her, and she tried to throw her disk up and knock the disk away, but as she did, the disk scratched her arm. She didn't really see how that would countas fair, but given their situtation, it didn't seem to matter, because she saw her points go down one and that Rinzler's points go up. She wasn't too happy with that, but it didn't stop there.

The Eon NPC seemed to take advantage of the moment, as he threw his own disk to Ignis, and got her on the back as she was knocking away Rinzler's disk. She reeled from the attack for a second, and threw her disk backwards. More of a desperate measure than anything, but she was irritated from being attacked on two sides at the same time. Her disk flew toward Eon, but as she thought, he simply dodged it and ran up to hit her again. Ignis wasn't enjoying her enemy getting more points off her, and decided she was going to try and get some back. Lucky for her she was flexible, and brought her right leg up and threw it into Eon's stomach, and caught her disk as it came back to her, then spun around and threw her arm up again, getting a nice hit off Eon across the chest and sending him to the ground. It was only a point, but at least it was one gained back from the three she lost.

Luna blinked before watching walls come up between the four. She looked across the way and saw Etrius grabbed his disc. Luna cracked her knuckles as Etrius started making his way toward her. Luna reached back and grabbed ahold of her disc. Etrius started running as he threw his disc while Rinzler made his way to the two's arena. Luna immediately knocked it back causing his disc to graze his right cheek. She ran toward Etrius, jumping up and stepping off his head for more air, she threw her disc at Rinzler and manged to graze his right thigh. Luna grabbed her disc and began to use it as a sort of shield from the other two. Etrius tooka hold of his disc and threw it at Luna before she could block it hitting against her shoulder.

With the victory having been assured, Stratos pulled over to his test partner, Hikaru celebrating about the victory. Chuckling a bit as the other keyblade wielder started to stammer on about fist bumping, Stratos reciprocated the fist bump. "Yeah, you know it. Good job." Looking over to the other two, he waved, saying, "same to you guys." After congratulating everyone, Tron appeared to tell them about their victory, yet it seemed that there was still something left to do. Looking over to the solar sailor that Tron pointed towards. While Stratos wasn't entirely sure it was that Tron said, he nodded saying, "that sounds bad. Come on guys, let's go!" Revving up the engine, Stratos took off as fast as he could on his light cycle.

The resounding cheers that resonated around them after their victory lead to a nice feeling of accomplishment. He revel in it all for a few moments, then proceeded to check on his partner to see how she was doing. "You feeling better now that this is over?" Just has Kel had said that, Tron had spoken up about Sark doing not honorable. That was when he noticed that vessel in the sky slowly flying off. Figures that he'd try something to avoid losing all this power. Kel returned to his light cycle and headed off in the direction that Sark was heading off in.

 

There was an incident on the track. A matter of some importance that had to be fixed before the race could begin. One of the racers had broken down in a fit of tears and laughter. Not much could be deciphered from Base's jabbering and guffawing, but --- between rolling on the ground and clutching his sides --- he did manage to point at the roster and at Ananta.

"BANANTA!"

Once the poor lad was loaded into a car by Oreo guards, and had his hands placed on the wheel, he managed to regain his composure for the countdown. There was only one issue: He'd never driven in his entire life. He succeeded in passing a few cars, but by sheer luck alone. He was too on too much of an endorphine rush from the giggle fit to realize he had not a single clue of what he was doing or how to do it. He just was.

"Pfft. Jelly Base."

 

Luna blocked attack after attack from both Etrius and Rinzler. Rinzler grabbed his disc and left Luna and Etrius' arena. Luna saw an opportunity and dodged Etrius' attack. She immediately ran from her position and tossed her disc toward Etrius' back. The disc grazed his back, giving Luna another point for herself, she grabbed her disc and continued to toss it at him while he was still recovering from the last attack. The disc hit his arm, then it had hit his side, and from there it had hit the back of his left foot. Luna caught her disc as it was returning from her previous attack. Etrius stood up and grabbed his disc before looking back at Luna. "Not so tough now are you? I'm actually having a little bit of fun if I'm gonna be honest here." Luna smiled a bit as Etrius started cracking his neck before making his move. Luna blinked for a moment before feeling a sharp pain at her back. Luna turned around before Etrius' disc hit her right arm. Luna could barely breathe before Etrius hit her left arm, her right side, and both her legs. Luna looked back at Etrius as he was grinned wickedly. Luna cracked her neck as well before launching her flurry of attacks. She continuously tossed her disc at Etrius hitting both of his arms and his left side. Luna caught her disc before taking a small breath before ready her disc to block attacks.

"Bananta does not fit me at all! I'm green, for goodness sakes." she grumbled, plopping into her own kart. The kart she was in looked to be Taffyta's from the way it...looked, honestly. It matched that kid well enough, anyway. Ananta sighed and put her hands on the wheel and prepared herself for the race. She had driven before, sure....but that was on her homeworld quite awhile ago, so she felt like she'd be rusty.

In any case, Ananta zipped off, passing by Base. "See ya~" she said mockingly to him and giggling. She zoomed by two more racers before she found out the next one was a bit aways. It annoyed her, but she was fine not being first. It'd probably be a bad idea to get in first, anyway.

Following her loss of points, Ignis tried her best to try and land more hits on Eon. Unfortunately for her, the NPC was living up to his role of Guardian, and blocking Ignis' blows. Luckily, Ignis was able to do the same, but at this point, they were doing nothing more than a fancy fist-fight with razor-sharp disks included. Ignis needed to try and gain the upper hand, and quickly. She didn't enjoy how fast her points were falling, and that Rinzler wasn't making things any easier. She tried to pay attention to when he threw his disks, but it wasn't easy focusing on the opponent in front of her while focusing on one behind her that was out of reach.

As if on cue, Ignis heard another disk coming from behind, and she tried to take this chance to get more points. Eon thrust his disk forward, and Ignis grabbed his arm. Then she spun around and put her back against his chest, and moved her foot back. Then, just as Rinzler's disk came up, she threw Eon over her shoulder and slammed him into the oncoming disks. As luck would have it, or bad luck to be specific, Eon's arm flung widly in the air and actually knocked the disk away from him, keeping him from harm; but it gave Ignis a chance to land a blow. As Eon hit the ground, Ignis threw her disk down, getting two blows out of Eon, getting some points back. It wasn't much in her book, but at least she didn't have an annoying zero in her points. Then she jumped back, giving herself breathing room as Eon got off the floor.

To say Beuce's fight against Anora was going poorly would be a dire understatement. He'd managed to catch her off guard with that combo, but outside of that, she was the better combatant. Well, that's not entirely true. Beuce outshone her in raw offensive capabilities, but his complete and utter ineptitude in the area of blocking was what gave her the edge. In any case, it was clear she was winning. They tossed their discs at one another twice, but both times, Anora had deflected his while Beuce had gotten hit. This put her in the lead. As if that weren't bad enough, Rinzler kept throwing his disc in to interfere in the fight. That was hardly fair, but then again he hadn't expected this to be fair from the start. He'd managed to deflect Rinzler's attacks with barrier surge, but he could only do that so often, and the they were coordinated enough that their discs were never thrown at the same time, meaning he never had it up to be able to deal with Anora.

At this rate, Beuce was clearly going to lose unless he did something. He wracked his brain to try and find a solution, meanwhile Anora threw her disc at him once again, this time, he barely managed to dodge out of the way. He watched the disc sail back to her as she raised her hand up in the air to catch it when it dawned on him. He pushed himself out of his prone position and dusted himself off. Giving a slight chuckle, he readied his disc to be thrown. "Well, if i can't block anything you do, then the answer is simple, isn't it? I just need to score more than you do." Beuce's eyes gained a slight sheen to them. An unnatural one, as his gaze turned far more analytical than before. Anora took a step back. She'd seen him pull something out of his sleeve before, and was wary of what else he could do. Not wasting any time, she threw her disc at him, but Beuce mirrored her timing exactly and threw his own disc. Anora realized what was happening when she didn't have her disc in hand to deflect his. The disc sailed through her chest, bounced off the wall behind her, and returned through for a second point. Beuce had gotten hit as well, but it was only once. The play worked, it put him in the lead above her. The disc hadn't been back in his hand for more than a second before it was in the air again, sailing toward Anora. Not having time to get her bearings, she was unable to block it.

This continued back and forth for a while, both of them relentlessly attacking the other one for fear of falling behind. It was incredible how many points could be scored, yet the score remain stagnant, but Beuce was in the lead from his magnify, and at this rate he'd stay there.

Luna threw her disc several times, but it had miss to no avail. With the clock running low on time, the two looked at each other thinking 'Better to throw everything I got now'. Etrius was the first to the make his move. Luna immediately went to a defensive position. Clashing discs echoed throughout their arena, there was no moment of reprieve as Etrius continuously barraged Luna with attacks after attacks. Throw after throw, clash after clash, the clock was reaching its end. Slowly, Luna had been driven into a corner. Nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Luna was running out of breath and rapidly growing weaker by the minute. Before Etrius could throw his disc, the clock buzzed signifying the end of the match. Luna fell to her knees, catching her breath. "Finally!" Luna looked at the final score. She had managed to block each one of Etrius' attacks to secure her win by a thread. "We played your games CLU! Enough is enough!" Luna stood up after catching her breath.

Andrew saw that they seemed to be done with the whole destroying the building. Felix then was done repairing the last of the windows and came down to say something. 'Thanks for the concern there friend, but so long as they stay in the house, there's no way they can possibly get hurt,' "OH,well that is good." 'if Ralph doesn't come back, then they'll have to close down our game. Meaning both us and our game go with it! Same think happened to Qbert last week! Jiminy, I can't even imagine life outside my game. I've been doing this for thirty years!' "Well then as soon as we find the other maybe they can help and find Ralph." X then went on about wanting to smash the windows. 'Ralph is meant to be the bad guy. We have to find him.' "What does Ralph want?"

X then said, 'Didn't he say something about getting a medal in that gun game?' "I said Ralph wanted a medal when we got here." He hand told Felix this when that got to this game. He started following Felix when X asked him something. 'So why are you in the exam? What is your goal?' "Why not? It gives me something to do." It probably was not the answer that X wanted but he did not know X that well and did not trust him to give out any information. Had it been Glen, the only person that he knew somewhat well he might have answered the whole thing. Thinking about the others he could not wait to get out of here and get to hero's duty.

As the group sped along, they eventually managed to catch up with the rampant program, cutting him off from his retreat. As he and Tron got into an argument, it seemed that Sark was not willing to just let things end like so easily. Hopping off the cycle, the boy landed on his feet ready to take on the man who had been a thorn in their side thus far. As he was ready to get the fight started, he felt strange. Everything about him seemed to be moving at a faster rate, and his body started to feel less...real. While the boy wasn't quite sure was causing this phenomena, he was about to unveil a power that he had yet to use. Hitting his chest with his fist, the boy was engulfed in a blue, red and yellow light. His hooded sweat-shirt became more of a cloak that flowed off of him, while the blue lines that flowed across him started to fluctuate between the three different colors. His keyblade had changed its shape, becoming more like a rifle with a blade under the barrel. Twirling the new thing around, Stratos was a bit confused by this newfound power, however having seen Beuce use it before, he already understood the way it worked.

However, as everyone else disembarked, Sark was already on the offensive. The boy wasn't prepared for the disc weapon, and is curved towards him, he could only brace himself as the attack struck against him. Feeling the pain surge through him, the boy wasn't about to let this stop him though. Getting back to his feet, he channeled earthen magic through his rifle, firing it at the ground. As it struck, circular white disks appeared on the ground, ready to hunt after the opponent before them.
