Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Kaida was still not sure how exactly she was able to be crammed into a chest. She figured there was probably some cool thing Mizrabel had planned, like turning them into jewels or something. Ya know, it'd be kind of neat being able to say "oh yeah, I was turned into a diamond once" but instead, Kaida was locked in a chest. But she was freed rather quickly, which made the cramping a little less worse. Kaida got herself up and nodded and Aislinn going, "Thanks there."

She then looked at the chest next to her. Now, she wanted to give one pain of a punch to Mizrabel, let her learn what the feel of a hunter scorned was, but she figured getting the person next to her out of the chest was probably a better strategy for now. So Kaida ran on over towards the chest and used her keyblade and kind of tapped the top of it and the chest opened up. Kaida held her hand out towards the fire haired girl and said, "Aaaand you're free~"

Ignis was freed.​

 

Ignis looked around and noticed that the amount of people in the hallway had increased by a fair amount. It seemed like pretty much everyone had finished their trials by this point. Hopefully that meant they could finally get out of this place and back on their little journey to save the worlds. Also, Ignis wouldn't deny that she wanted payback against Aux.

Before any of that could happen however, the doors to the castle slammed shut and a creepy voice started talking out of nowhere. Apparently someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, because they filled the hall everyone was standing in with a dark mist and then they were all teleported to some circular room. Karina was pulled inside some kind of container in the middle of the room, and everyone else, including Ignis, was yanked by some kind of magic and trapped in what seemed to be a chest. Ignis tried to get out of the chest but nothing seemed to work.

Ignis heard a tapping sound on the outside of the chest and then the light opened up. Kaida stretched her hand out and helped Ignis out of the trap.

"Thanks for the help, Kaida." Ignis quickly composed herself and looked around.

There was a chest next to her, and Ignis figured it would help to free the person in there as well. She ran over to it then tapped it with her own keyblade, popping the chest open.

"Oh look, I found the elusive Hikaru, found only in the wilds of the Realm of Darkness, at least for the moment." She reached her hand to Ignis offering to help him up. "Can I take you home? Or would you rather help knock this crazy hag off her high magic horse?"

Glen was feeling very cramped. He remembered seeing the most flexible people on Aatarsilu in a circus folding themselves into seemingly impossible positions and thinking it was quite incredible, but he'd never actually wanted to do it. Yet here he was, inside of eternal darkness. At least there were pretty jewels and gems around him, poking him in the ribs all affectionately and the like. And at least Mizrabel thought him important enough to consider him a treasure, as he was clearly in the kind of chest for one. I mean, he could even see a +1 Excalipoor in front of him. Maybe he could use that to escape! Wait, he couldn't use his hands due to him being a human pretzel. Well, there went that idea...

 

Once Karina had said that she was going to start, Stratos felt a bit relieved to see that she was feeling better. While it shouldn't have been confused with her feeling good, at the very least Karina had no longer been in her incredibly down trodden state that she had been in prior. As she started to disband away from them, Stratos looked around to see that a good deal of other people had found their way out of the castle's room, none seeming to meet the same fate as her, and there were quite a few new faces that he didn't recognize...well save for one. Regardless, as Stratos was about to go greet them, smoke started to rise and spread throughout the room, enveloping everything. Stratos wasn't entirely sure what had happened after that, but he was somehow in a chest now. That was...odd.

It didn't take long however, until the chest was opened and he was let free. A bit frazzled and confused by the whole situation, it was plainly obvious that some kind of fight was happening, and what had happened to him had happened to everyone else as well. As such, Stratos looked to the side and, seeing the chest, summoned forth his keyblade. Striking the top of the chest, he went to break the lock that sealed and get whoever was in there out.

Stratos freed Ananta.

 

Ananta finally gave up on Karina. She tried her best, but knew Karina was set in her ways. She turned to try and head for somebody else, but started to gag on the smoke. Soon, she found herself in a chest and started to knock on it, freaking out. It didn't take long for her to be freed, and so she sat up and took a deep breath. "Stratos!" she said, smiling at him. "Thank you. But I better save that one." she said, looking over at the chest to her right. She climbed out of her own chest carefully and walked over to the one near her. On the chest was a keyhole. "Easy enough." she smirked, summoning her new keyblade, tossing it up and dropping it onto the chest accidentally, freeing whoever was inside.

KEL WAS FREED.

It had happened all before Kel had even realized it. One moment the was standing around, providing answer to Aislinn's question and the next, he was suddenly in a dark cramped area. Hell he couldn't even at all. "Alright, I'm really getting tired of of witches now." This had been the third time they've something both progress hindering and this was the second time by the same one.

Then there was a thud above him which opened the chest that he was stuck in. It felt good to be able to actually stretch his limbs out. There weren't any boxes that were around him and there was only two that he could actually see. Therefore the one thing that he could do was to attack Mizrabel, and summoning his newly obtained keyblade, he attacked her indeed.

Luna felt a little hurt as Karina looked away from. She understood why but while she did, she had still felt hurt from that. Before she was about to speak up, a witch by the name of Mizrabell had shown up in front of the entire group. Before she could even blink, Luna felt her body being thrown into what seemed to be a treasure chest. "Hey!!!!! Let me out of here!!!!!!" Luna tried to escape from her current prison. She tried punching the walls, kicking, using her body to break through but saw no result. Before she tried another method of escape, the chest opened up to reveal Xara on the outside. Luna tried to go back in her memories to see if she had met Xara somewhere. Before she could, Luna jumped out and saw everyone else except for AJ, two unfamilar girls, and another unfamiliar guy in chests. The four were getting to work on freeing everyone in their respective areas. Luna turned to her right to find another chest. Luna ran up, summoned Crescent Crown and opened up the chest to release its captive. It opened to reveal Steel in it. "Thanks Princess..." Steel walked off with an expression and tone that Luna couldn't figure out. An expression of concern had been painted on her face before looking at Mizrabell. She had felt not only a change in her but in everyone else as if the abilities she and everyone has learned was sealed. Luna awaited for her next opportunity to attack.

Well then...

Ok...

So...

He hadn't the slightest clue where to even begin with this chaos. Overall it seemed like people were just taking the time to get reacquainted, though there was also the matter of instructing the newer members. The latest episode of 'Karina' was on too. It looked to be especially dramatic... Ok, so maybe he was being mean, but he wasn't wrong. From the first day he walked in to this mess of an organization, Karina had been the one to sit in the corner pouting like she held the world on her shoulders... when she didn't even give a flip about anyone else in the room at pretty much any given time. Like she would even carry the world forward a single inch if it had been on her shoulders.

Granted, he hadn't been much better until recently. He had been better though, and that was pretty sad. He could go on listing Karina's flaws, but none of it was really important because... He had to apologize to her. While it was true that Karina's behavior wasn't something he had to respect, his own actions had hardly been acceptable either. When it came down to it, he had been in quite a bad place himself, and he had taken those feelings out on her, even if he had started out trying to help. That didn't change the fact that his apology would fall on deaf ears though. When the argument had first started she had taken everything that was criticism and treated as a judges sentence. Stratos seemed to be having success though. Maybe... maybe he just needed some time to think through what he had to say to her...

His tail twitched back and forth slowly as he considered-

Shoot his tail. He had completely forgotten about that.

No one seemed to have noticed yet though, so maybe if he-

Then Darkness. Lots of it.

He didn't like this witch.

So now he was in... some kind of empty space? It... actually felt pretty roomy... but... it was also a bit boring. Sort of a nice scene, there were like... stars... or something. But after awhile of that, The space sort of just split in half, and the top sort of... opened.

He peaked his head out to see that the group was in a large circular room, at the center of which was Mizrabel, whom they were fighting... and Karina.

...Right. Why not.

So, what to do? Well, first he had been concerned about his tail; it was longer and... kinda furrier... than the average tail, and it was strangely semi-prehensile... somehow? Maybe he could try and wrap it around his waist so no one would notice? Nah. Not worth it. Besides, while a tail would certainly be questioned, it still didn't automatically mean that he necessarily had anything more than that. Really he couldn't imagine anyone would really think twice about it during a fight anyway, but he did imagine that he could just pass it off as non-existent later. Even if he could, it would be an exercise in futility.

So on to something that... probably should have been on the top of his priorities list in the first place...

"Thanks Princess." He stated it rather simply, not putting much emotion into it... or thought. It didn't really sound particularly grateful, but it wasn't horribly rude either.

Third on his list was to attack the witch... because he really didn't know what else he could do at this point... so he pulled out the 'Artisian Shard' and... charged in, careful to watch for any oncoming forms of retaliation.

The hit hurt, that was for sure. And Kaida was ready and willing to give her new keyblade an actual swing. Kaida ran up towards Mizrabel and gave a good ol' swing. For some reason, her general commands were not working, but she was able to get a hang of her keyblade. She hit a few times before dodging and hitting her from behind, then hitting her once more from the side before she backed off since, supposedly, others were jumping in. Kaida looked over at some of the chests and ended up running over to the one that happened to let Beuce out and she said, "Uh, why can't I open this one? Sorry whoever's in there, mine just won't let me?"

 

After freeing Ananta from a chest, Stratos looked around to take in his surroundings. It was a pretty odd place, everyone was just kind of arranged in some kind of circular fashion, and others were locked in chests as well. Stratos was a bit confused as to what exactly was going on, or who the person next to him was, but that didn't really matter much. They were on his side, at appearing to be so, and that was all that really mattered at the moment. And so, turning his attention to the witch in the center, as she struck him hard with some kind of magic, Stratos spun his keyblade, tossing it at the witch.

Stratos attacked, dealing 29 points of damage.

 

"No no wait my keyblade is in my pock- Ohhh dammit." Beuce cried as he was crammed into a chest. He was contorted in a very uncomfortable manner, but outside he could hear chests being opened left and right. The new people weren't affected! Of course! He saw one of them right next to him before he was crammed into the chest. He'd be out of there in no time and then he could join the fight against that witch. Any second now. Any second. There was no way that guy would just leave him in here. He looked like a nice guy. He had the perfect appearance. He'd be out of there any minu- he wasn't getting out of there. He then heard a familiar voice outside. Kaida said that she couldn't let him out. Great. So it was only the one guy who could let him out. "No no it's fine i'll just...be here. Go on. Fight the boss. Don't mind me. I'm only bent backwards and sideways and i don't really fit in here. I'm fine." He then began cough because of how dry his mouth was getting from all the salt.

Whatever attack that Mizrabel had used against them fortunately hadn't hit them all, praise be the numbers advantage that they had over her. Now they just needed to keep said advantage over her for as long as they possibly could. Granted they still didn't quite have everyone due to unfortunate circumstances for a particular locked chest. Well there was literally nothing that he could've done about that so instead he ran forward and attacked Mizrabel again.

 

Ananta sighed at seeing Beuce's...chest talk. Like, legit, it talked and she swore she could taste the salt in the air. Shrugging and deciding the effort wasn't worth it, Ananta decided to run up to Miserable Mizrabel and slap her around with her awesome new keyblade.

 

This was it, this was the chance to prove herself. Xara clutched her keyblade and ran forward to the witch, dealing a blow to her. She then jumped back to let others do their thing and to try to avoid any attacks from the offense side.

Her eyes looked to the bubble in the middle of the room, holding a girl in place. She wondered briefly if their was a way to free her...

Xara dealt 25 damage.

He watched the girl jump out of the chest. 'Hey! Go get that one, I'll get this one!' What they had just met not even five minutes ago and this girl was telling him what to do. He did not know what to think of this girl. He watched the girl run off towards a chest. What was going on. He looked around at see everyone running around with keyblades out. This was odd he kind of felt left out but it was best not have to worry about. So there was this woman in the room and one more chest that he open. He was not going to exactly going and attack this woman and the chest seemed like the better option. He started walking towards the chest and some sort of attack went off and hit him. It was a wave of something that was invisible. He arrived at the chest and look at it for a moment. It was the boy that he had seen on the ground when he arrived. He put his hand on the chest and opened it.

The human pretzel was no more, he was free, he was powerful, he was ready to kick some witchy ass, he was....totally forgetting to show gratitude. "Oh, thanks, whoever you are. I owe you one" he said, before scanning the area to determine his method of attack. It turns out he didn't actually find one, but rather he found a chest just a little to the side of himself. What a horrible situation that person was in, he ought to rectify that. And so he did. He opened the **** out of that chest, opening it so well not even a professional locksmith would be able to comprehend just how he did it.


D'daear was freed!

 

Ignis watched as everyone began to throw their attacks against Mizrabel or freeing others from their chests. Since Ignis had gotten Hikaru free, she figured it was time to go and take a little whack at the annoying witch. Just then, she tossed an attack through the room, and Ignis put her guard up. It was just out of reflex, but luckily for Ignis, the attack didn't come her way. Still, she didn't know what was going to happen, so she figured it'd be best to do something quickly. Running up the witch, she jumped and took a slash at the enemy, then jumped off her face and back to where she stood.
"Well, can't say that was pleasant, being so close to her." She put her guard up for any other attack to come.

Ignis dealt 27 damage

Luna grew concerned over those Mizrabell have injured in her attack. As much as she wanted to heal them, she couldn't. Growing frustrated over this, Luna sprung into action as she attacked Mizrabell.

Luna did 28 damage to Mizrabell!!
