Karina could take her plans not working, but mocking her about them not working on top of it all? No she was not okay with that. The frustration just grew and grew the more the doctor stood there, and stopped their attacks... Well that was until he electrocuted her. Karina let go and jumped back with a yelp, her back slamming against the bars of her cage. Karina slowly let herself sink to the ground in pain. "You b*stard." She grumbled as she glared at him. There was no point in getting up at that moment, it was all helpless, and Karina's head was still pounding from the electricity that was just shot through her.

Karina could barely keep focused on what was going on around her, not that she really cared, but she was more focused on the pain in her body then anything else. She could see the others come in, they were safe and they were with the bunny from before. Something was happening with the doctor, but Karina's ears were still ringing making it hard to hear properly. Soon the cages were released and Karina nearly fell flat on her back, given she was using the bars as support. Luckily she managed to keep her balance before she could embarrass herself more than she already had.

It took another moment before Karina got to her feet, but soon she did, keyblade in hand. Oh how she wished that she could run and bash the freak over the head with it, but from previous experience she knew that wouldn't work. Silently Karina moved away from everyone, finding a place on the back wall to lean against quietly. She didn't want to face those she tried to sacrifice herself to save. She did not want to face those who just saw her and believed she might have a plan for escape only to watch her fail and fall. She did not want to face the one who caught them or the ones she had to rely on to save them. She did not want any of that, because she was Karina. She didn't need anyone else's help, sympathy or mocking. She could find a way to do things on her own and she would.

Kross had to suppress an irritated snarl. Luna was going to ruin everything. He wasn't even planning to fire at the doctor, heaven knows he wouldn't kill anyone. His eyes sharpened as Karina received a shock. He'd heal her but right now it seemed that the other good guys were here. Instead of hiding them however, it seemed that the doctor was thinking. He could literally hear the gears in his head turning. As the cages opened, Kross dropped out and landed gracefully.

It seemed that the doctor made his decision to let them go and he flashed a grin at the man."I was wrong about you, you're not cold and heartless." He said. His eyes turned to Karina and he frowned. Why was Karina all the way over there where she could be over here with people who cared about her. Well...he cared if no one else did. He just continued staring, his honey gaze unwavering. Gingerly, he approached, taking a seat beside the distressed girl and pulled his knees up to his chest.".....It's been a while since we've talked, huh?" He said, trying to sound as cheerful as usual. It failed.

Kel wasn't all that surprised when Karina's choking of the doctor had no effect on him, though he was a bit weird out when the doctor's neck stretched out. The deflecting of Kaida's keyblade was a bit more of a surprised since he actually thought that would work since while Karina clearly wasn't really harming him in the slightest, she was still distracting him. So the attempt to get the jump on the doctor had ended with Karina getting painfully shocked as well as in failure.

That was when Gus and Steel had arrived alongside a rabbit. Despite watching what was going on between the Mad Doctor, Gus and the rabbit, Kel wasn't all that sure what to make of what he was seeing. he main thing that he could that was going on was that the rescue squad were in the process of convincing the Doctor to not go through with his plan, with seemed to worked since they were released from the cages.

Despite stumbling a bit upon reaching the ground, Kel managed to keep his footing. It took another second for him to not stumble onto the ground. Looks like he got a little too comfortable whole sitting in the cage. Now having truly regained his balance, Kel noticed that both Karina and Kross were away from where everyone had landed and by a nearby wall. Recalling the electric shock that Karina had taken, Kel made his way over to the duo and asked. "How are you holding up." A question more so directed at Karina, but Kross could answer if he wanted to.

Karina shot Kross a cold glare. "There is a reason for that." She responded, offering no explanation to what the reason was. It had nothing to do with Kross, just people in general. She didn't quite feel like letting anyone else close. She didn't feel like disappointing them more and given the stunt she tried to pull, thinking she might die for her sacrifice, she didn't want to allow her leaving, whether it to be walking away, or dying, to effect anyone. Karina was a mess and she knew it, that was why she was avoiding everyone, it was just easier that way. However it seemed like she wasn't allowed to avoid people.

Karina's attention shifted to Kel as he approached her as well, asking how she was holding up. "Okay. Fine. What does it matter really." Karina responded to his question in a rather annoyed tone. Sometimes she wished she would wake up to find everything was just a dream, and that she was back home, but the thought of being back home also scared her. There was nothing easy about her life, though she wished there was. She was struggling through it day by day, jumping between letting people in, and blocking them out. From her point of view, neither seemed to help. Karina was tempted to just walk away from the two males who approached her, but she was still sore from the shock and thought best not to push herself too hard yet, even if that meant putting up with people, despite making a clear effort to stay away from them.

He ignored the shudder from her cold glare and just let his honey gaze stare at her. There was no hatred in his gaze. No malice, no lust and no anger. It was his usual curious gaze, as if he longed for her to say more to him. Yes, there was a reason and he might have known the reason, he decided to ask anyway."Are..You sick and tired?" It was a simple question. No premise, no promises of grandeur or not even an attempt at comforting her. It was just a simple, open question from a simple, open guy.

Kel approached and he thinned his mouth, lowering his gaze to the ground."I just want to get back to town. I hate this place... It's cold." Not cold in the temperature sense of course, but being around these machines and robots.. The absence of warmth was there, the absence of natural life and it made his skin crawl.

"Well you did get zapped by some electricity, so I was just making sure." Kel answered, paying Karina's annoyed tone no mind at all. At this point her being seemingly annoyed with everything was something that was better being used to happened. So long as she acted like that, he could tell that she was her usual self. In fact, he probably wouldn't get too concerned about that unless she started acting welcoming and friendly. Then something would definitely be wrong. Part of him wanted to point out the fact that choking a mechanical man wasn't the best of plans, but that wasn't all that important. "We are still allies after all, i'd rather know if something was wrong sooner as oppose to later."

Hearing Kross's response, Kel just shrugged his shoulders. "Hopefully that's what we're going to be doing next. If we're lucky, the rabbit knows a way out." That was what he was hoping for at least. The rabbit and Gus seemed to know the most about where they were, so finding a way out between the two of them seemed possible.

The second the cage had been opened, Glen had been much happier. Being caged inside, listening to nothing but crazy poetry and people retorting had really been grinding on his patience. In fact, you could say he had lost it. So the second he could move out of it, he did so. "Freeeeeedom" he declared, before bolting forward. "I'm free, I'm free!" he shouted gleefully, his feet moving quick to get him away from the cage. However, he tripped over due to himself running so fast, and fell forward, falling into a roll and continuing until he had rolled into the next cage over, hitting the back with a thud. "Dangit" he said quietly as the cage door slammed shut.

"I am fine." Karina responded to Kross once again, though it could also address Kel. Could the man not figure out that she did not quite want to talk? "If I snap I will not take it out on you guys so you have nothing to worry about Kel. For now I will be fine. The electricity might hurt but it isn't the worst I have been through and by far won't be the last time she went though something worse. Karina decided for a fact that she was fine and whether it was true or not was questionable but she wouldn't admit it. This was just how she was and people should come to expect it. Why was it that people where trying to help her. She did not want help really, or that is what she let herself believe. Karina could sense her life falling to pieces and didn't know what to do about it, however still she pushed people away. Never let them in. Never let them help. She was on a path to destruction and didn't do anything to stop it.

Kross thinned his mouth. His patience was wearing thin. They were dilly dallying about and there was no information on his master, his father. The man was still stone and these people were barely doing anything about it. One could understand why the boy was not happy about what they were doing, or a lack thereof.

Standing, he nodded towards Karina. He was concerned for her but if she said she was okay, he would respect that. He turned and leveled an intense gaze at Kel."Good, because I want to get out as soon as possible and try to help my master. I might as well, since I'm apparently alone in this." He snapped in a low, but angry tone. He shouldered past Kel and walked towards Glen when he fell out, only to land in another cage. He gave a light hearted snicker and opened the cage door."Having troubles, Glen?"

Well that's one less thing to worry about. Kel thought to himself. Karina did have a point though, electric shock was probably one of the least painful things that could've happened to her and this is coming from the guy who's gotten the crap kicked out him by a jaguar, floating suit of armor, a hun and his stupid bird, a shape shifting witch, Nequa , as well as stabbed in the back by a mass combination of behemoths. So yeah, electrical shock, not the worse thing that could happen.

When Kross had shouldered past him, Kel turned his head in the direction he was walking before turning back to Karina. Kross had been in some sort of mood for quite sometime now and Kel wasn't sure what the cause was. "If you really are alright, then you don't quite to be this far away from the others." Once again Kel wasn't expecting her to completely listen to him, but it was worth a shot.

Steel was not interested in Karina's latest "episode." All that the girl had accomplished so far was whining about how she was strong and didn't need help: It was a call for attention that she always denied, and he was sick of everyone else catering to it repeatedly despite being pushed away. He resisted the urge to growl as he turned from the spectacle to face the table mentioned by the doctor. He admired the girl's strength, but her disregard of how such strength made her human was a liability: she was on the road to self destruction, and was dragging the others down with her.

His opinion was that they should just let it go: her role would be filled whether or not she was actually in it. While it would be a tragic loss if her life were to end, it would be more tragic if her brooding were to cause the rest of the worlds to end with her.

Shaking off the minor detail that was... Karina, Steel brought his full attention to the Mad Doctor.
"I am not an expert as you likely are, but I know that in my own unique body the most energy has been concentrated here..." he pointed to his mutated eye. "... And here." He redirected his clawed digit to the very center of his torso, to the lower right of where his heart should be. He then climbed onto the table and lie down in preparation for the restraints and coming procedure. He did not seem particularly worried.

"You have my full cooperation doctor."

Karina sighed when she looked at Kel as he commented about her being so far away. "I prefer not being around people, and they don't need me at the moment. What is wrong with me staying away?" Karina asked Kel. She didn't understand why people made such a big deal about her going off by herself. She did that a lot and only about half the time it mattered. Why couldn't they just keep away from her already? Thankfully some people, like Steel, didn't pay her any mind. "Now if you excuse me I am going to go somewhere else that people will leave me alone." Karina said in a rather rude tone before spinning on her heal and walking away from Kel, finding another dark corner by some sort of equipment the mad doctor had, and leaning in the corner there so she could hide once again until she was either needed or it was time for them to get the hell out of that place.

The Mad Doctor strapped Steel onto the operation table as the rest of the group had been freed from confinement.Cages clanked to the ground as the newly released prisoners regrouped and discussed the events that were currently laying out in front of them. The doctor restrained steel's wrists and legs onto the metal table with a look of serious concentration on his face. Oswald took a brief moment to look at Steel being strapped on and patted him on his shoe. "Don't worry, Doc knows what he's doin'." A small grin escaped from the rabbit's mouth as he hopped over to tend to the group of keyblade wielders. Eight in total.

"Gus, my gremlin friend... Fetch me Tool 16-Dash-N"
Gus whizzed to the trunk of deadly tools that was hidden behind his control program until he returned to the Doctor with what appeared to be a plunger. Nothing special about it, just a regular old plunger. It seemed to be the most painless way of absorbing the ink out of Steel's body without too much harm done to the man. The doctor connected a tube to the plungers end as to collect all the ink into his machine.

"While this may not cause destruction, I warn you now that you'll feel suction..."
The quick warning was all he gave before plunging at Steel's chest like he were a broken toilet, Gus shaking his head as he watched. The black liquid from him was definitely moving though. It could be seen traveling through the tubing to the doctor's machine which had a lit up green light. Also a good sign.
Back with the group, Mickey and friends seemed to have caught up.

    Mickey remained strong as he looked into the eyes of his former friend. He tried to come up with something to say and it looked like Oswald was at a loss of words as well. The two just stared distraught at each other while the sounds of liquid suction could be heard awkwardly in the background. While Mickey was mumbling through his own words to apologize and explain himself, Oswald reflected on his own way of forgiveness. After all, he had just finished an entire speech on forgiveness and love. Something he would've wished Ortensia heard as he wasn't so sympathetic to her recently. He looked up at those who followed Mickey. They all blindly followed unaware of the outcome, causing the rabbit to chuckle under his own breath and recalling the words he said just a moment ago;
His smile faded as he looked to the mouse and sighed. It was easy hating Mickey for all the damage he'd done, but now he had to do something he thought he'd never have to do.
He summoned his Kingdom Key D without hesitation and pointed it straight at Mickey's heart. The little mouse jumped back and gave a big gulp. noting Oswald's serious expression. Oswald's eye pierced his, before he flipped his keyblade around, the handle now facing Mickey.

"H-huh?" Mickey asked. "What are you doing?
"You said you got people back home right? Well, if they're counting on you, I don't want you making any excuses. Besides... Only keyblade wielders can leave this world. And you're one key short."
Before Mickey took it in hesitation, Oswald quickly pulled the key back out of his reach. "Understand the responsibility you take when you get this keyblade... My master gave me these keys to protect the door to darkness. Giving you this one means you've got some big shoes to fill. Sure you're ready for that mouse boy?"

Mickey grinned and nodded with serious eyes. "I'm known for a lotta thing Oswald. And one of them, is wearin' big shoes!" He remained humble, but prepared to take on the challenge.
Oswald could see the change and turned to the Mad Doctor. "Alright, let's make this official... Put your hand on the keyblade." Mickey did as he was told. "Doc? Will you do the honors?" Oswald asked.
    "What honors?"
"Normally the keyblade passing ceremony is done with two hearts harmonizing... but I think this way will make it more official..."
The Mad Doctor spun around and nodded as Steel was steel being pumped of his ink. Clearing his throat

"In your hand, take this Key.
So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking,
its wielder you shall one day be.
And you will find me, friend—
no ocean will contain you then.
No more borders around, or below, or above,
so long as you champion the ones you love."

A light glowed as the golden keyblade dispersed out of Oswald's hands and into Mickey's.
The green light on his machine turned blue which meant the machine was done absorbing all the ink out of his body.
"Huzzah! The machine seems to have made a pathogen! Once we release it airbourne, all biological beings in this room should be able to gain the ink abilities needed to take the master blot down a peg or two!"

"In tandem with my groove... Consider it improved!
It's ink no long norm, but now powered up BLOT FORM!"

The Doctor pressed a button on a remote, which released a green mist, surrounding all wielders in the room.

    All players received Blot Form!

"Alright Oswald, what's the plan?..." Mickey asked in determination.
"Well, as far as I know, Master Blot's lair is usually guarded by his underlings. But the Master Blot is smart, he'll know if there are too many of us going into destroy his heart chamber."
    "His heart chamber?"
"An infusion of all the ink he's gathered. It will also release the hearts of all those he stole from the residents of wasteland. So only FIVE of us will be able to go in the chamber. The rest will have to fight his underlings on the outside. But whoever volunteers for the final fight, has to use blot form, it's not enough that you're just ink... You need an extra boost in power to take care of him permanently... Mickey and I will be part of the defense brigade. In case you fail at the final blot, I need to make a failsafe."
"What's the failsafe?" Mickey asked concerned.
"Something that could very well destroy wasteland... I pray I don't have to use it..."
"Luckily, in Wastelands, those who Tribute towards blot form can still fight alongside us. So everyone can still fight the good fight."

    WASTELAND FINAL BOSS

So in a change of pace, I thought I'd try something a little different here. Each player will nominate FIVE active players to take on the Master Blot.
    (Cannot vote for yourself)

The others who are not fighting, will be part of a BP blotling battle (1,000 Heartless style) Everyone will earn the same EXP regardless.
Those who tribute themselves, will be a bit weaker and only be able to deal 75% of the BP damage they deal normally.

    Eligible players;
Ananta, Base, Beuce, D'daear, Glen, Hikaru, Kaida, Karina, Kel, Kross, Luna, Raisor, Steel, Stratos

Karina watched the events of what was going on from the far side of the room. In all truth she admired Steel for what he was doing. He just handed himself to this insane man in order to help them get out of here. On top of that it didn't seem like a simple process to get what they needed. Karina wouldn't say any of this to anyone of course, but she could at least think about it. She could never do something like that, though she had nothing to offer either. Karina was not good enough to be of any help to anyone really. She had nothing going for her. She had lots of strength, but that failed her enough times, and besides that who would want her around, at all.

After the entire thing with Steel, something else somewhat interesting happened. Oswald was giving a keyblade to Mickey. Karina had never seen a keyblade passing ceremony before. She didn't truly understand it either. She watched knowing that she would never have reason to use it. She didn't deserve her keyblade, how was she fit to pass it on?Mickey and Oswald. They both seemed more than fit to bare a keyblade, but her, not a chance. The other thing Karina got from watching that was the friendship the two had. Something inside of Karina ached, but she ignored it, pushing it back. Part of her was wishing for a friendship like that but Karina knew it wasn't worth it. She didn't need friends and it would only end up with her being alone in the end anyways, so what was the point? Ultimately people could only put up with so much of her, so may as well save them the trouble of trying to get close first before they decide she wasn't worth it.

Finally something had happened with the machine and after the Mad Doctor hit a button or two, she was surrounded by some sort of green mist. If she had heard correctly the power that they needed was being transferred in an airborne pathogen. Karina inhaled deeply as it entered her lungs. She could feel something happening when she did. Blot form, what was needed to beat the Master blot. Now it was just time to decide who was to go fight it, and who was to stay behind and fight off the smaller things that would threaten them just as much. Karina didn't particularly care which group she was in, as long as they got out in the end.

Standing up Karina finally made her way towards the group, speaking up. "So what are we waiting for, lets get moving. Why don't we discuss who is going to fight on the way. After all we want to get out as soon as we can, don't we? We won't do that by standing here, time to get a move on." Karina stated, her voice was cold and unfeeling. She was sick of just standing around, it was time to get some action. Karina summoned her keyblade to her hand then went to go forward, hoping the rest would get the point and follow close behind her.

Standing nearby the group, the boy became a spectator; Indifferent about their current situation. As always the group was going to figure something out so there was no need to worry. Steel, a member of this keyblade bearing brigade was about to undergo some kind of procedure at the hands of a Mad Doctor that no one really knew other than Oswald and Gus. It was ironic really, how Oswald blatantly didn't trust them, but now the group had to put their trust in this MAD doctor because Oswald said so. Toned arms folded together as he blue irises watched the man be strapped down, only through peripherals noticing an isolated Karina. If there was an inner self to be expressed, he'd probably be rolling his eyes saying something like, "Oh not this again."

"H-huh?" Mickey asked. "What are you doing?

D'daear quickly turned his attention to the Mouse and Rabbit, missing out on the procedure that Steel was undergoing. Arms lessened their fold, a little stunned at what Oswald was doing. If it wasn't for the black rabbit speaking up, D'daear would have intervened. Being in the background, he let ears tune in to what the black rabbit said about Responsibility, Key bearer's Ceremony, people waiting for you, counting on you. Of course they were meant for Mickey, and of course this was Mickey's scene. However, words can resonate beyond that, and they resonated with D'daear deeply. In a way, he saw himself in Mickey's position all that time ago.

“I can’t relax! Y-you’re asking way too much of me!” he shouted, walking past her in order to avoid her touching him. He approached a nearby wall to find emotional support by placing a hand on it on it as he leaned, other hand placed on hips. His body suddenly felt drained, weak from being hit with the news. Eyelids shut themselves as he tried to calm himself, but that was proving to be a mission in itself.

The grandmother took slow and steady steps towards her grandson. “Listen…I know it sounds frightening, and I can’t even imagine what you must be going through right now…but… I need you to go look for her. You and I both know that a world needs its guardian. Right now, I’m the only one that qualifies for that.” She explained, trying to reason with him while still approaching him with caution.

D’daear remained stationed while his heart continued to race. He was scared. He had grown in this world all his life, and never had he shown interest in these kinds of things; unlike his sister. He always just took each day as it was. Life had deemed him to be simple, someone to just live a peaceful life in his world. Now all of sudden everything seems surreal. He was still finding it hard to believe the stories to be true. How was he supposed to just change his way of life overnight?

“D’daear… please… listen to me… We need you.” she said, referring to Della and herself.

The ambivalence weighed on him as he could feel the responsibility. He felt the sense of purpose for himself, and an opportunity to see the fairytales for himself which ironically stirred excitement! However, he could also feel the pressure of failure, the possible dangers he would encounter. Heck he was already feeling homesick just thinking of it.

To be out there among the stars, wandering alone.

The hand that was grasping the wall suddenly curled into a fist. It was out of his comfort zone, and this situation was clearly out of his control. Like a chess game, it seemed the circumstances had placed him on checkmate. This world needed his grandmother to stay in order to safeguard it. She was the only one who could wield a keyblade sufficiently. There’s was no one else in this world that he knew of who could do what his grandmother could do. HE had to find his sister.

Mind went blank as he succumbed to the elder woman’s will. In an attempt at justifying his new purpose, memories of these two wonderful people came resurfacing. As the memories bubbled up into his conscious, it was clear that they had always been there for him, taking care of him like some baby. The strong protecting their young weak male. Beyond this world, there was so much more to understand. His grandmother always had that strength, and it seems Della had found hers; despite her irresponsible decision. D’daear gritted teeth in struggle as he understood how all this time they had been there for him. So maybe it was time HE was there for them.

In that moment D’daear’s eyelids opened, revealing a sudden revelation...and fear. Ridden with anxiety, the young adolescent fought through it as he lifted his head up and fist away from the wall. Turning to face his grandmother, a heavy sigh escaped nostrils. Face was written with frustration and reluctance. He was scared, but now willing. With a small nod, he agreed to the idea.

Noticing the boy’s submission, she gently took D’daear by the hand while giving him a sympathetic stare. “Thank you…” she said. The woman lured the boy to a couch in order for him to take a seat. Calmly, she explained to him what was to happen next.

“Remember the day I had Della take the inheritance ceremony?” she asked, wondering whether D’daear’s memories could serve a purpose here. The boy gave an unsure look. Brushing the question aside she got straight to the point. “Well anyway…” she started, summoning her keyblade before his eyes. It was an amazing sight to behold. Light gathered near the palm of her extended left hand, and suddenly a wave of blackness stirred from within that light. The two elements blended together in harmony, soon parting ways in a dramatic show of power as a blade was forged. D’daear’s blue eyes remained glued to the weapon, unsure of how to react. With quick twirl of her wrist, grandma switched the grip on her keyblade and was suddenly holding it reversed; blade was facing away. She knelt down, and reached out with the equipped hand.

“Here.” She said handing him the weapon.

D’daear hesitantly grabbed the weapons handle, and held it.

As Mickey took the keyblade in hand, Oswald motioned for the Mad Doctor to recite something that was unfamiliar to D'daear. It took him by surprise as this was not something he went through himself. A glow emerged from Mickey's touch as a reaction to the ceremony. Eyelids narrowed over irises as D'daear looked skeptical at the scenario because the glow never happened with him.

"Is it...supposed to do that?" he pondered briefly.

"Huzzah! The machine seems to have made a pathogen! Once we release it airbourne, all biological beings in this room should be able to gain the ink abilities needed to take the master blot down a peg or two!"

A brow raised in question. "Ink abilities?" he queried pointlessly. Then the green mist appeared and washing over everyone. It saturated them all in its greeny mistyness of mist...s. Obviously the boy looked around him, wondering what the green mist itself was doing to them. After it cleared, he honestly felt no different than he had before, but who knows maybe the others were Really feeling it. Shrugging, he made is way to Mickey and Oswald where erbody was at. As he arrived, words were exchanged between Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. They're plan was simple, which was nice; although Oswald's failsafe was...disturbing to say the least, but D'daear didn't bother to speak up.

"Huh?" he uttered as Karina stepped into the conversation. Although her tone was legit, her words weren't. Then again, he barely knew her; but still...

"R-right." he managed a little dumbfounded, Nothing unusual per say, but... she was just sulking on her own a little while ago. Made him wonder what inspired her; if you want to call it that. Scratching the back of his head in this small mystery, shoulders shrugged it off. "She probably just wants out of this world really bad then."

Take a first step forward, he followed on behind her hoping the others would follow too.

There wasn't really anything wrong with Karina's choice to stay away from large groups and it wasn't like he was going to force her back to the group, cause that wouldn't end well at all. "Well nothing's wrong with that per se, but the others aren't all that bad. Well some anyway." Other than his grasping at straws, for the most part he was right. It was quite the unique group that they had, some good, some bad and some tolerable to some and not to others. Though in the end Karina went off to another dark corner and Kel simply left her alone after that.

Seeing Steel being restrain to the table by the mad doctor, the first thing that pop into Kel's mind was Glad I'm not in his position right now. Having someone named Mad Doctor operate on you was not something most people would want to have happen to them. Then the plunger/special tool descended down and began to extract the ink from Steel. A plunger was certainly the last thing that he'd expect to see.

The operation seemed to end without anything severe happening to Steel, so all's well that ends well he supposed. Since that was now out of the way, Kel turned his attention to the Keyblade Passing Ceremony between Oswald and Mickey. Were keyblade passing ceremonies a common thing or just for special occasions? Kel couldn't remember whether or not he's heard about those before, but there were some blank spots in his memories as of recently. (Blank spots caused by Moksha re working Kel's background). In an attempt to figure this out, Kel stood there lost in thought. Not noticing the green mist that surrounded them until he'd started coughing because of it.

As his coughing died down, Kel overheard and made note of what was said. Only five of us can go fight Master Blot and we have to use blot form as well. It sounded simple enough, despite not knowing what blot for was or did. Karina had been the first one to speak up among the wielder as well as take the first steps towards the final battle (in wasteland), follwed by D'daear. Not having anything else to say, he followed behind the two out of the lab.

Oswald had kept everyone in check thus far, and by signs of tallies and votes, it looked like a clear five had been chosen.
"So you picked yer champion, did yah?" he asked to confirm.
Mickey nodded for the group as he pointed each one individually out. "Yup. Let's see, we got uh... D'dear, Kel, Karina, Hikaru, and Steel!"
Oswald inspected all five of the selected choices and nodded to affirm. They look as good a choice as any, he thought to himself. "Right, now to the battle plan. While these five are off searching for the Shadow Blot's core, the rest of us, will be defending the front lines of his lair here." Oswald drew an "x" on a crudely drawn map that was meant to resemble the outskirts of Wasteland. "Now, Mr. Blot doesn't take kindly to anyone setting foot on his property, so the more distraction we make, the more reinforcements he'll send out to dispose of us. Seeing how there's ten of us or so, this should but you guys enough time to take out the core." Oswald stroked his chin for a moment to contemplate if he missed a step. "That's the easy part though... His fortress is still guarded by air and ground defenses. All mechanical from when the Doc was in league with him..."

The Doctor stepped forward, hearing his call to action.
"Oswald, little rabbit, I will aid your cause!
The gremlin and I will assist you all because
that fault is mine, and my idea for ammends,
is craft some fireworks and leave the outside cleansed!"

Gus patted Oswald on the back. "As the Doctor eloquently put, he and I will launch the necessary firepower from our end to give you all enough time to storm the castle!"
"Thanks guys! We could really use the help!" Oswald gave them both a thumbs up as they whisked off to prepare their cover fire. Back with the group, he still seemed uneasy. "Even with all that in mind, the Blot usually doesn't do this much work unless he's in cahoots with some one..." He looked up at Beuce. "This guy said there was some one named Mortimer that got sucked in with you guys. What can you tell me about him?" Mickey immediately cut in with an annoyed frown. "Mortimer Mouse? That guy's a big ol' bag of hot air."
"Mickey! Language!" Gus yelled from the back room.
"Whoops..." Mickey censored his mouth too late. "Well, bottom line is, he's a cheating, conniving, no good rat who goes around thinkin' he's better than everybody. He treat people like trash and women like prizes!"
Oswald blinked and patted Mickey on the shoulder. "He tried to steal your girl, didn't he?"
"Yeah," Mickey admitted. "Yeah, he did..."
"Well if he shows his face with the blot, you'll get yer shot at some revenge." He looked up to everyone. "Time to gear up people. We're movin' out..."

So it was her, Hikaru, Steel, D'daear, and Kel for this battle. She supposed it wasn't the worst team she could be stuck with. Fighting wise they were all pretty strong, however in terms of her getting along with them. They weren't necessarily the best choices, but it could be worse. They were told to gear up, but that meant little. There wasn't much preparations needed. She already had her keyblade in hand and ready to go. Karina glanced at the others seeing if they were also ready. Most were probably still looking and thinking over the plan, and for those defending it was a good thing. They needed to know all the places they could go. However for her and the other four fighting the Blot, well they had their path and plan set. The key was finishing it off quickly before the others were overwhelmed trying to protect them. "Then lets head off." Karina said in a cold, emotionless voice as she began to walk away to follow the path set before them.

Stratos had followed everyone else and went into the mad doctor's lab, quite like everyone else. As it had turned out, all of their friends had turned out to be here this whole time, and it seemed as though they were also currently safe and sound. Sort of. Letting out a sigh of relief, Stratos then looked over to see what was going on with Steel. Apparently the mad doctor was doing something to him, in regards to the ink thing that Oswald had mentioned, and while it did look completely unpleasant to be apart of, Stratos could only really watch as it happened, being unable to do anything else to help the situation. Once that was done, the entire room was apparently filled with some kind of pathogen, and Stratos briefly felt a bit odd as his body seemed to be somewhat inky now. All he really needed was a canvas, and he'd make a grand masterpiece of modern art.

Anyway, the group was now splitting up, what with having a plan to take on the blots, it was clear who was going to get going to do what role. Stratos could only nod at the team that was chosen to go and fight against the master blot. He could attest to seeing Karina and Kel's strength first hand, and couldn't think of people much stronger than them. Then there was Steel, who even if he didn't know all that well, he was certain that that guy could move faster than anyone else in their crew. Finally there was Hikaru and D'daear who, granted, he hadn't really ever seen them around much, but they certainly seemed to have a certain aura of assurance about them. And so, Stratos was completely fine with the group that was going out to go and take on the boss of this place.

As Karina had started to get a move on, Stratos simply gave a two fingered salute to her as he said, "I'll be sure to put in enough work against these blots for the both of us, so be sure you do the same for me." He sighed as he realized how much of a pain this might be without the help of his heartless fighting partner, but he was sure that the lot of them would be able to do it regardless. Walking over to Kel, he went to give him a fist bump as he said, "make sure to kick that thing's ass for all of us." With that, Stratos walked over to the rest of the group, summoning his Star Seeker keyblade as he looked at everyone and said, "let's go face our second army."

"YOU go face your second army. I'm going home." Base started marching in completely the other direction. No way he was going to face 1000 beasties agai- Oh, wait... he'd been absent for the first bout. Perhaps he owed it to his friends to be there this time? Base paused in quiet meditation, searching his very soul for an answer.

"Nope. Still going home. And nobody is going to make me do otherwise!"

    OOC:
Somebody, please, make him do otherwise.
