Cailyn was terrified of the building coming down, and equally as scared as them having the responsibility of keeping it afloat. Even though she knew it was just a memory, the thought of anything falling down freaked her out. Almost as if frozen in fear, Cailyn stood very still. "Snap out of it!" She thought to herself. With that she jumped back into action, attacking the heartless in front of her. "Ok, no more fooling around, not when we're so close to victory!" She swung her Keyblade at them forcefully, sometimes it just took brute force to take our enemies, and not so much brain. That mentality what probably why Cailyn had such a hard time fighting all the time, but she tried to ignore her own logic and continued to smack the heartless around.

This fight was waning, and good riddance. The battle was taking longer than it should have, but at the very least they were already nearing the end. Numbers were fading fast, and the heartless definitely were looking like easy prey by the decreasing numbers. Tip of keyblade fired up quite literally as D'daear swung the blade at a weakened Hammer frame. Swish! The heartless disintegrated to nothing. Black dotted eyes kept their focus on the enemy. Now that they were this close, losing it was not an option. The adolescent ran up to a group of hammer frames that were busy smacking away at the girders in order to level the building. However, he was intercepted by another hammer frame. The brave heartless came at him with everything it had, trying to by its allies some time. It was a lost cause though, and D'daear didn't really bother to acknowledge its 'heroics' either. Lunging forward, keyblade was brought to the front for a lunging stab that penetrated the hammer frame. The weapon tore right through the hammer piece, and sent the creature to whence it came before unloading on the others. Having no chance, it only took a few seconds before five hearts were sent to float to the sky.

Each respective group took their post and began their patrol....

    SOUTH SIDE
Ananta had been partnered with Pluto and was not very pleased from it. Pluto eyed the crystal with great displeasure. He was not very fond of jewelery and gave very noticeable impressions to signal so. Before he could do anything to annoy and pester her, he heard a shrill shriek from Princess Minnie, followed by a large punching sound. "Bark Bark!" Pluto alarmed, as he ran to the Princess' foyer to inspect.

Ananta was blocked off immediately from a group of lance soldier heartless, preventing her from following.

    EAST SIDE
"Yeah!" Donald aswered Steels remark. "Bad guys always go for the tougher looking one!" His cowardly reason was followed by the fact that it was a man with a keyblade or a duck. Of course, Donald also neglected to acknowledge that he was partnered with the quickest of the five key bearers and if it came down to running away; Steel would win. As Steel stood strong, Donald waddled around with caution before hearing a faint 'psst' signalling that some one was whispering to him. "Huh?" Donald turned to find the smallest of the beagle boys across the way.
"OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" He yelled frantically.
Donald hopped and ran away crying; "WHAAAAAAAAAAKKK!!!"
The beagle boy snickered and snapped his fingers to summon heartless to deal with Steel. "Finish le boy, but ze ducky is mine! Hehe!" He then chased off after Donald and left Steel alone.

    WEST SIDE
After Kel had mentioned the sword in the stone, Goofy had been trying to recall just why that scenario seemed so familliar. "Gee, I just can't put ma finger on it! I know that sounds like something I've seen before but I just don't know wheres!... Maybe if-" Hard tapping footsteps were heard just around the corridor of the western walls, catching Goofy's attention. "Huh?.. Halt! Bad guys!" Without consulting Kel, he zoomed past and rounded the corner to try and find the source of the footsteps, leaving the wielder in his dust. Before he could follow, a group of heartless appeared, surrounding him and preventing and chance of follow until they were rid of.

    NORTH SIDE
Kross and Raisor had little to no interaction once they had gotten back from the high tower. They were the only duo of keybladers and not partnered with any of the worldly denizens to aid them. While they hadn't said a word to each other, they were nary given the chance once a swarm of heartless appeared to test their strength!

With the demons finally silenced, a glowing light emerged from the city below, as lanterns lit the way against a fog from the dawn of sunrise.

"The living glory of our nights, of our nights and days. The prince of peace your arms embrace, while hosts of darkness fade and cower. Oh save us, mother full of grace, in life, and in our dying hour," a soft, but kind voice spoke. From the pathway to the mountaintop, a man in a white hooded coat emerged from the rocks that hid him to appear in front of the group.
"A simple wonder what music inspires to such a vision... Beautiful in it's own way." He reached into hit coat pocket and held out both his gloved hands with the last two musical notes the group needed. "How the combination of various sounds can tell a story... Just like a book." He looked across the group and looked at each one carefully through his hood. "But I do wonder why you decide to take part in this story." He lifted both hands which held both blue, and red quarter notes. "Are these really that important to you?"

    ~MISSION START!~

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hikaru continued to wail around the hammerframe for a few more instances of defeating heartless with their own brethren before the hammer he was swinging could take no more, after three more were defeated, the hammerframe in his hands faded from two much damage, releasing it's heart. Hikaru however, was still spinning and spinning before trying to stop his heels to better align himself. "Whoa! Whoa!" He held his arms out to find balance after his spinning decreased to find his vision was impaired with sights of seeing double. "Oh come on, don't tell me more showed up!" He whined, before his vision was slowly returning to normal. "Oh, that's better, heh!" Summoning his keyblade, he shook off any remaining feeling of a dazed head and ran straight back into the action!

Noting a few more damaging the lines that held the platform up, he took his blade and slashed forward against one of the frames before locking onto to another and slashing against it also. While these were only singular hits, he only did so to get their attention to follow him. "That's right, follow the leader!" he called out. He slashed two more once before leading them all to the center of the platform he stood on. With each one following, they smashed their circular faces against the ground to try and get a fix on Hikaru. While he wasn't fast, he had a good amount of height in his jumps which allowed him to narrowly avoid most of the smashing caused by the hammer heartless. Once four were within his range and his keyblading party was no longer within friendly fire range, Hikaru lifted his blade high into the air and pointed it at the sky. "Faith!" he cried out. With that call, pillars of light descended onto the hammerframes, ironically smashing them with the power of pure light, bringing Hikaru's total count to eight for that maneuver.

As the man in white held out the notes for the party to see, Glen thought about why the notes were so important to them. There was the obvious they'd promised Mickey, but was there more behind that? The keyblade wielder thought of his homeworld, of the loss of his father, and then how he had reacted, thought of the reveal of Karina's past, the fact she too had no home to return to. As bitchy as Karina was, he didn't think anybody deserved that kind of pain. Stopping Vanitas and his allies was essential, and it wasn't going to happen without the book, which they needed Mickey for. "Those notes are essential for a better future, so yes, they are that important to me" he replied to the man at last.

Light emanated intensely from way up in the building, but it was so bright that D'daear could not resist. He gawked at the show that had unfolded, not sure whether to think that was a good thing or a bad thing; although he hoped it was a good thing. The light soon disappeared as fast as it had arrived, returning things to normal. "I hope everyone up there is ok..." he wondered in concern. Were it up to him, he'd climb or fly up this building in a heartbeat to aid his friends up top, but that was out of his power. So he could only trust that everything was ok. Returning eyes back to what was in front of him, he had visual on the remaining heartless that were left on this floor. Quickly getting to work, keyblade was swung virtuously as legs brought D'daear from one hammer frame to the next. Aggressive in this new found style, the adolescent did what he only knew. With a jab of the hilt, it smacked into the heartless's small head, dazing it momentarily as D'daear moved on to an approaching heartless. With a violent one handed swing of the blade, the interrupting heartless was brought to non existence before allowing D'daear to return to the daze prey. The keyblade was thrust forward; penetrating the heartless like a kabob, and demonstrated to the remaining four that stood nearby hesitating before being swung out of the blade and onto a girder. The now fragile heartless exploded into dark smoke on impact, releasing a heart. Keyblade remained stationary as arm was erect away from the side. A cold look was staring back at the remaining four.

"Looks like you're all that's left. Stand still, this'll be quick." D'daear said in irritation.

Finally! The second wave of heartless was about to be over, and just thinking back on how unfair it was for them to have re-spawned is what made this key wielder irritated; because he had no idea if more were just waiting to spawn in there place. Taking the first few steps forward in a cautious manner, the keyblade wielder suddenly bolted forward with arm dangling keyblade behind. He made quick work of the remaining four heartless, swinging the keyblade around five times before halting in a deep forward stance just behind the hammer frames. Arm remained erect, as if it had not been moved at all. Head was tilted down, but eyes were wide opened in furious concentration; although tufts of hair was covering up that intense expression. The heartless went reeling back in a motionless state before suddenly dissipating into nothing. Four hearts were released instantly. Committing to Iado form, D'daear let the keyblade disappear in its usual effect after.

Serious demeanor suddenly fell back to normal as eye lids shut themselves over irises; a small sigh escaping parted lips. That was it for the first floor, all that was left would be left to those busy rumbling up top the buildings higher floors. Deep down, D'daear hoped this would be the end of this monochrome memory.

Luna jumped down as she saw the few remaining heartless go down. "About time!" As soon as she said that, more heartless had arrived as back-up for the previous wave of heartless. "ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW!?!?" Luna's eyes widened at the new wave of heartless showed up.
She watched as everyone in the group did their part to take down this new wave of heartless. Her eyes fell upon the last 8 heartless that appeared in front of her. "Nobody touch them! They're mine to take down!!" Luna smirked as she cracked her knuckles. "Bringing in another wave huh? Trying to irritate me aren't you? You're foolish if you think you can do that!" Luna's expression changed as her smirked immediately went to an angry frown. "YOU'RE GOING DOWN!!!!" Luna ran up to the last group of 8 and began her assault.
Luna ran up to two Hammer Heads and knocked them up into the air. She jumped up and executed Vorpal Blitz knocking the two airborne heartless into another two. "Get out of my sight!!" She landed and begun her next strike. Luna ran up and blue had surrounded the tip of her keyblade. "Freeze!!!" Luna had used Blizzard on another Hammer Head Heartless. Red had begun to surround the tip of her keyblade after executing Blizzard. She ran up to the second-to-last heartless and used Fire. "Burn!!!" Luna stopped in her tracks as she reached the last heartless. She ran up to the heartless and began to fight it with her bare fists, punching and kicking until the heartless was on its last bits of health. Luna stepped on it and smirked. "Bye-bye.." Luna pierced the heartless with her keyblade, ultimately ending the current wave of heartless.
Luna walked over to the rest of the group as there no more heartless left in the area. "I can finally catch my breath!" Luna squatted down as she tried to catch her breath.

After both of the demons had been vanquished, Stratos had simply been standing there, having Karina kind of slung over his shoulder to make sure that nothing happened to her. Needless to say, he was a bit surprised when she just decided to fire off a spell from her unconcious body, but that could just attributed to...keyblade magic? Whatever. "Nice work there guys!" He called out to them once they had won. After he said that, Base walked over to him and offered him a handshake. Accepting it, Stratos said, "couldn't have done it without you either, Base." He then needed to figure out a way to get this girl up and awake, but that chain of thought was interrupted by a man in a white coat stepping in and monologuing. As he showed the last of the notes to them, Stratos started to think about it. Why were the notes important? Well, obviously it was to fix the problem that was with the brooms back at the mysterious tower. However, it was somewhat more than that. As he thought more on it, Glen spoke his piece, to which Stratos then responded to the man with his own. "Those notes are important, not just because of a promise we made with someone, but for what they represent. We all worked hard to get those notes, and not one of us could have done it without the other. So those pieces are important, because they are a physical representation of all the bonds we share."

The hammerframes were gone and the building was just barely left standing.
"Can't believe we managed to keep it up," Hikaru commented. "But it looks like Mickey still isn't here..." he sighed. "And what's worse, it seems heartless have found their way into the world through the ink portal... Looks like we'd better keep on our guard."
At that moment, the toon mouse tip toed behind the party and stared into the camera. With a wink, he used his finger to signal a silent "Ssh" to the audience as to not give away his presence. He then laughed on mute into his hand and jumped back through the window.
"So I guess that leaves one left!" Hikaru looked at the mystical window with the canon on it. "Anyone care to do the honors?"

Kel had been leaning against one of the walls as he waited for Goofy to give his response to his question. Judging from the look that was on his face, it was clear that he was actually pondering his words. Whether that mean that he did recall what Kel had described or not, he could only wait til Goofy had spoken up. Some more time had passed and Goofy had finally spoke up. While he had pretty much said that he didn't recall what Kel had said, the rest of what he said had intrigued Kel. He recalled Mickey mentioning that they'd been to other worlds and what if that had somehow affected their memories. That would explain why Camelot was familiar to goofy, but he couldn't clearly recall it. Though a problem with that theory was how was he unaffected by it. I mean he's been to plenty of worlds and remembers just about everything from each and every one. Even the things that he'd prefer to forget about. So there was that. Or in much less confusing way, maybe Goofy just bonked his head and lose some memories regarding all that. that would make sense as well.

Upon hearing the footsteps and watching Goofy just run off towards them, Kel had attempted to follow behind but he was interrupted by something flying in front of his face. After dodging the attack, he noticed that it was another lance soldier that had gotten in his way. That lance soldier hadn't come alone either, for he'd brought about 19 more of him. "Really am glad there's not a behemoth this time." It wasn't even because of a potential second coming of Free Wily Cat, it was more that he didn't want to see what other messed up appearances that the behemoths might take. Kel then held out his hand and summoned forth his keyblade. These heartless were likely not going to let him through without some kind of a fight, which was perfectly fine by him. First he turned his attention towards the lance soldier that had attempted to attack him as he ran after Goofy. Instead of striking it down with his keyblade, he grabbed it and held like before the other heartless like a fencer would hold an epee. Kel wasn't worried about it getting free while he was holding it still, he had the strength to keep it within his grasp until he was done with it.

With his keyblade in one hand and make shift weapon in the other he charged at the swam of soldiers, not wasting time in cutting through the first one his his keyblade. As expected it make short work of the heartless, but that didn't stop the other 18 of them from immediately going to attack him. The counter attack of the heartless began with two of the lance soldiers attack him at the same time, Since he has fought there kind of heartless before, his body was more attuned to dealing with their attack. So he ducked their dual assault and then impaled one of the two with the lance solder that he was using in his other hand. Now this was interesting to see. The heartless in his hand was perfectly fine, well let's not exaggerate. It was okay, definitely not fine, but compared to the heartless that it impaled, who dissipated into black dust it was in way better shape. As weird as that was, Kel just decided to use that to his advantage in fighting the heartless and went after the other one that had attacked him. After dodging the attempt to attack him, he cleaved the heartless in two with his heartless counter part. Fighting with both a heartless and a keyblade, that would make things easy for him so long as the heartless lasted.

The scene before Karina faded into darkness leaving her standing there with nothing to do. However it quickly changed to a different scene. This one instead of being an image of her heart it was an image of her mind. This place was dangerous. As she stepped forward a vicious back creature appeared before her snapping and snarling. It was the promenent thing in this space so it seemed. However it was not the only thing that occupied this space a girl, similar to the one that was in her other vision was in the corner. She didn't cower as much here but was driven back into a corner. She sniffed and was clearly a more upset person but she did't take much dominace. If these were her emotions where was the happiness? There was nothing around her to resemble happiness. Was she really that dark in her mind?

Karina scanned the dark more for anything else there. A locked door to her heart was ther, something that was rusted as though no one had entered it in many years. Everything about her was based around her mind. Everything around the anger and sadness, but mainly anger. If other emotions resided in her mind they had hidden themselves in fear. A gavel was also found in her mind to symbolize how she judged others, but that was not only it, how she judged herself. This was not what she thought she would see stepping into her own mind and it was kind of disturbing. She looked away from it all. She was a monster, just by thinking this the anger in her mind grew. She was feeding it.

This scene also finally faded and in the darkness she was left to ponder all that she saw. She didn't know what to think of all this. How was see such things going to help her? She could figure anything out. The darkness soon lifted as a weight seemed to engolf her. She was back in her human body. She could feel someone holding her up. Slowly she raised her heavy eyelids to look around. A man was talking to them and Stratos was at her side holding her up. She looked at him and quitely thanked him as she attempted to stand on her own. Her body felt far to heavy to stand on its own and soon she found herself leaning on Stratos once again for support. "I-I don't know what happened..." Her voice tired and raspy.

She then listened only slightly to what the man was saying. "It is important because we need to fulfil a promise. I-I need to atone for things as well, and this is the starting point." Karina explained as she looked a way. She knew the pain of paying the price for her actions, now she needed to avoid paying it again, or else it would come with far more pain than what was caused with the two scars on her back. If she could only be good enough. If she could only be better than she could avoid the punishment... she hoped.

"Thanks Strat-" He was interrupted by the approach of an individual in a white cloak. In their hands, they held the last two musical notes the Symphony of Sorcery group needed. He looked to the new figure with both agitation and an odd sense of calm. The white robe was, at once, alarming and serene.

They asked a question. He had an answer. Base bowed his head.

"I was already a part of this story. This world, and the other worlds, and the people I've met since. We were supposed to meet. Each of us is here... I feel... through destiny. It's meant to be." He eyed the character suspiciously. "What I don't know what's meant to be is you. I always find entrances like yours, just now, more than a little unsettling. Are you going to give us the musical notes?"

He stood next to Glen, and nodded to his comrade. There was a strange power about the cloaked figure, but he wasn't going to be frightened.

"Like Glen said, those music notes are needed so that the future can be set straight. I can't go into the details... but I have the weird feeling I don't have to with you..."

Karina spoke, and Base dashed to her side so that she wouldn't have to support herself on either side. He supported her, opposite Stratos, and further displayed their collectivism.

"So. What's it going to be?" he asked the cloaked stranger with a cool nerve.

Raisor continued to stand guard until a group of Lance Soldiers appeared suddenly in front of him and Kross. They weren't doing anything but standing watch, and of course heartless had to interfere. Raisor brought out his keyblade and began to get to work.

His first target was dancing around the wall, which Raisor slammed straight back into the wall with his keyblade, admittidly leaving a large hole where the heartless was. He hoped they could fix that with no trouble later. The heartless came out of the hole in the wall and attacked Raisor, but he just thrust his keyblade forward and defeated it. He wasn't really in the mood for another group of Lance Soldiers, so he hoped they would disappear quickly. A second Lance Soldier tried to sneak up on him from behind, and he quickly dodged to the side, having a lance come inches away from hitting him in the head. He launched a Fire attack at the enemy and caused it to fly in the air. He quickly jumped up to combo the heartless before it could touch ground. As he finished up his combo, the heartless began to counteratttack, and Raisor grabbed the heartless' hand, and stabbed the enemy right in the gut, causing it to vanish as well.

With two down and a full group more to go, Raisor was wondering where to start next. His answer came to him though, with a third Lance Soldier attacking his. He loosened up his body and began to dodge blows by the heartless. He didn't want to waste any movements, so he allowed the creature to get in close. Soon as it go right next to Raisor, he brought his fist up from his side and slammed the heartless with an uppercut, knocking it off balance. Right after that he spun around in the air and slammed the heartless on the head, knocking it to the ground. It didn't look like it was finished, but Raisor knew he managed some damage.

Steel couldn't help but chuckle at Donald's reply. It was nice to be called a tough guy, despite the truth that he was weak.

... You all think this is an angst moment but he was speaking quite literally in reference to his strength and defense stats; in comparison to most of the others, his are pretty dang low.

Anyway, Steel didn't have the heart to tell Donald that some bad guys were more cowardly than even said duck and were known to go for weaker opponents. Alas, the conversation in general was short lived, as one of the Beagle Boys popped out of nowhere and scared Donald off. He then summoned a small horde of heartless and gave them commands in a french accent that was layered on so thick that Steel wondered if the man was really french.

Now he was surrounded, and there was no way for him to contact the others. Even if there was, they were all likely otherwise occupied (Okay, so he knew that last bit for sure, sue him). In preparation for battle, Steel activated his Ninja powers (which only changed the position of his scarf and gave him an extra keyblade since he was supposed to keep the uniform on) and took on a battle stance. When the first Lance Soldier leaped towards him, Steel intercepted with a precise blow to the torso. The creature was effectively stunned and, after a flurry of jabs and slices from the duel wielder, it was destroyed.

Steel smirked as he impaled another Soldier with his umbrella. Thankfully statistics didn't necessarily matter during brawl missions: In exchange for his low strength he could attack as many times as was necessary, which gave him a huge advantage. Slicing through the impaled Soldier with Llama Head and bashing its' head with his own, he flung the heartless into another oncoming one. After the impact, the first one evaporated and the second fell to the ground. Taking the opportunity, Steel thrust off of the ground and flew towards the dark being. He pointed umbrella downwards as he fell and the force of it stabbed straight through it's' armor and into the ground. Having landed balancing on the hilt with his hand, he swung his other keyblade across its' neck, effectively ending its existence as well. With a quick backflip he had resumed his battle stance. He gave a quite "hmph..." as he looked around at his remaining opponents.

    "Alright, now who wants some?"

Despite having little interaction into this RP for about a month, being as work and personal life was getting a little crazy, Kross was ready and raring to go. Although he hadn't partnered up with anybody in the immediate group(He kind of hoped to be paired with Ananta) He settled with Raisor. A chill rushed through the young mage as he could see shadows rushing towards them, then out leaped the Heartless. Lance Soldiers to be exact, these were the tricky heartless, using their unpredictable and clumsy tactics to lull opponents to a false sense of security, but Kross wouldn't fall for it. He felt his keyblade appear in his hand and he breathed in as the light it radiated warmed him. "All right."He murmured, time to shine.

One of the lance Soldiers turned their sights on the mage and sprung to action. Kross snapped to a stance, he trained for this so he was prepared for this. He evaded the spear being thrown at him and immediately, he went for the lance bouncing around. He felt that familiar pull as the lance tugged him around like a rag doll, but he managed to regain control of it and sent it diving at the soldier. If the heartless even had a mouth, it would be saying 'oh shi-' before it was struck violently and poofed into the darkness from whence it came. He managed to regain his footing and landed to the ground safely. He breathed out and took a look at how Raisor was doing, and it looked like he was doing just fine, even gave the heartless the old uppercut."Nice!" He called out with a grin. Another targeted him and he eyed the heartless charging at him, spear out. He dodged and used the momentum to grab the spear in his arms and threw it to the side in a swift, circular motion. He then combo'd the heartless before raising his keyblade and twirled elegantly, releasing a series of thunder spells to fry the heartless, He stopped the twirling as the heartless burned away in darkness. that took care of a couple of heartless on their side, but there were plenty more to tackle down.

The had all regrouped at the ground floor with Hikaru commenting on the heartless's arrival. It made sense to think that they had come through the ink portal because how else would they have come back to this era? Despite the cornerstone of light, perhaps it powers only helped keep the darkness away from a small area unless properly channeled through some other medium. D'daear shrugged at the thought; at this point he just wanted to get a move on. Left exhausted once again, the group was probably taking a quick breather before moving forward with what came next. The new window floated before them, awaiting the person who would pull the rope to reveal what would be behind the curtains. Considering the trials they went through to get to this point, the adolescent hoped that this window would be another memory that would enable them to sit back and relax.

"Anyone care to do the honors?" Hikaru asked.

Having had his time to cool off and regain composure, D'daear stood frozen, hesitating in case anyone in the group wanted to pull the rope. After waiting a few seconds to see if anyone would bother to go; to which no one went, D'daear decided to just do it. Taking a step forward from the group, right hand extended outward, ready to grip on the rope when he came into reach. The tall boy stopped as hands curled over the rope. With a show of calming nerves, eyes closed only for a moment in order for him to gather himself. Eyes opened up slowly as he turned head around to look at the others, giving them a soft smile filled with uncertainty. With a tug, the curtains unfolded and revealed whatever awaited them.

A scream could be heard in the distance, Ananta turned her head and recognized the voice. "Princess Minnie!" she gasped, ready to run and see what happened. Pluto was already bounding off, leaving Ananta to reach forward and try to stop the dog. Before she could, however, 3 Lance Soldier's appeared in front of her! Ananta skidded to a halt and stared wide-eyed at the heartless. Turning around, she began to run around, trying to lose the heartless. Ananta ran in circles with the heartless running goofily behind her for a good couple a minutes before she stopped, realizing an important detail. "Oh yeah, I'm a keyblade wielder..." she said, laughing to herself. Behind her, Ananta heard the crashing and clanging of metal. Looking back, she noticed that the 3 Lance Soldier's had managed to crash into each other and create a heap of metal. Swirl's replaced their eyes, symbolizing their dizziness, as they laid there. Ananta crossed her arms and tilted her head, wondering when they were going to try and fight her back. It just so happened that one of the heartless got up and grabbed it's lance, wobbling towards Ananta. Summoning her keyblade, Ananta lunged at the heartless. The dark monster fumbled and missed her enough times that she was able to easily dismiss the first Lance Soldier easily.

Next came the second Lance Soldier, who had a little more time to recover. It lunged itself at Ananta and nearly managed to hit her. She dodged it in time, seeing as the Lance Soldier was rather slow, and so she retaliated. This one was able to block her attacks, posing a serious threat to her. In fact, it managed to knock the wind out of her with a strike from it's hand. "Who told you that you could punch me? That's cheating!" she said, coughing and wiping saliva off of her chin. Gathering herself, she ran towards the heartless and began to strike at it faster than before. The Lance Soldier's had managed to irritate her, so she wasn't going to go easy on it anymore. It didn't help that she had an annoying time with some of the same heartless earlier, so she knew how to deal with them, but just hated how annoyingly persistent they are. Luckily for Ananta, this one didn't take much more effort before she defeated it. That just left one more Lance Soldier and she could go help Princess Minnie.

Looking in the general direction of the Lance Soldier, Ananta noticed that it was gone. Blinking, she looked around to try and find out where exactly it had gone. That was when she felt the rushing of wind behind her. Turning around, she saw the final Lance Soldier was darting around erratically, just as the ones from earlier had done when they lost control of their lances. Readying herself, Ananta waited a couple of times before she finally grabbed the Lance Soldier's arm. She held tightly, zipping around with it and holding her hat on her head. It finally launched itself into the air and darted towards the ground again. The lance stabbed into the ground and flung the heartless and Ananta off of it. Ananta used the momentum to bring the Lance Soldier in front of her as they hurdled towards the building next to them. The Lance Soldier slammed into the building and soon disappeared afterwards.

Feet landing softly in the grass, Ananta wiped her hands together and smiled. Placing her hands on her hips, she nodded at herself. "Well, that's done, time to head on and save Princess Minnie!" she said, pumping her fist in the air. Behind her, three more Lance Soldier's appeared, each readying their lances.

The demons were dead, and the party had emerged victorious. Instead of receiving the penultimate musical note and being transported into another area to fight for the final piece, a man in a white coat simply appeared, having both remaining notes in hand. He reminded him of Base, in all honesty. His voice was smooth, and he spoke about music. However...There was something strange about this. He'd simply appeared out of nowhere, offering to give them the pieces. This was far too strange, especially given where they were. They were inside Mickey's past. While he supposed it was possible this was just a man he had known, he seemed out of place. Not to mention, even if he had just been someone Mickey knew, why was he in the book? If Mickey had sent someone in ahead of them, why didn't he tell them about him?

It just didn't add up. He didn't trust this. It was too sketchy. Beuce stood silent for a moment, his keyblade still in his hand from the fight. He didn't dismiss it, in the event they needed to fight him as well. He waited to see what the others would say. They each gave their reasons as to why the pieces were important. They were all right, and he was glad none of them mentioned the book and why they were here in the first place. It was better he didn't know about that, if he didn't already. If he'd come after them from the outside, then it was possible he already knew why they were there.

    Then a thought struck him.
He'd wondered why the apprentices hadn't finished them off outright. Yen Sid had been attacked for the book. That meant their group was going after it as well. It was possible that they were unwittingly helping deliver the book to them. Maybe this was another ally of theirs they hadn't met yet, sent here to try and get the book from them when they obtained it. If he was allied with the apprentices, then he was bad news. Although, even if this were the case, they were a bit stuck to do anything about it. He didn't display any outward aggression toward the man, though. After all, this was still just a theory. He opened his mouth to speak to the man. "Well, a friend asked us to get them for him. So, you want to tell us why you've got them, and what you're doing here?"

Facing the 18 er 17 lance soldier would be an easy thing to do so long as he had double the weapons. That said, one of those weapons was a heartless so there was no telling how long it would last. Now if it was one of those fat heartless, then it would definitely last quite some time. That said it'd be pretty damn impressive for Kel to be welding one of those along side his keyblade. Digressing from that topic and returning to the matter at hand, his eyes scanned through the mass of heartless to find which one of would attempted to make a move first. Given the sheer amount of heartless that were surrounding him, it was quite a difficult task to do. They all moved the same way, made same clanking noise when they moved side to side and bounced the black lance parts to them. Kel might as well have been trying to find a needle in a hay stack cause he would have just as much luck finding a difference in the mass of heartless as he would doing that. That was when something had finally happened amidst the giant mass of heartless that surrounded Kel.

A small amount of the heartless had finally decided to move, took them long enough. While the lance solders were far enough back that charging towards Kel with their lances aimed towards him would be a difficult thing to do without skewering some of their own in the process (not that Kel would have a problem with that) so that was likely not what they were going to do. Shame, that these heartless couldn't be team killing fucktards. Oh well, maybe there'd be another heartless that would not give a damn about anything else that was around it, friend or foe, and kill them all. That said, should he ever end up facing a heartless like that then he would definitely avoid being killed by it. That was when three of the four heartless that had finally decided to act leap into the air while the one who stayed on the ground ran towards the keyblade wielder. Once the one on the ground had gotten through the crowd of heartless and make it where Kel was standing, it wasted no time in trying to attack him. Kel responded to this by simply dodging the heartless before slashing at it with the lance soldier that was still in his hand.

That just left the three heartless in the air that were now descending towards the blue haired keyblade wielder. One of which had been falling at a much faster rate than the other heartless and practically dove down towards Kel. In response, Kel angled the arm that was holding the lance soldier so that it would collied with the solider part of the heartless and his plan worked, cept fr one small detail. Instead of impaling itself on the lance, it crashed into Kel's fist. It was still enough to defeat it, but what happened to the lance soldier that was in his han- oh, he used up the amount of hits that it could take. So three was the magic number that one of the lance soldier could be used as a weapon for. Noted. Good thing his strength stat was what it is now, or there just would've been a dull clank sound as the heartless just brushed off the attack. But since that wasn't and wouldn't be the case, he could go ahead and deal with the reaming two heartless that by this point had landed back on the ground without doing anything. Kel decided to quickly dispatch of the two of them and thus used strike raid to cleave the two heartless in half before catching his keyblade as it returned. Boop Boop Even.

Steel dodged a blow to his torso with practiced ease. The boost in speed the Ninja job had given him had made him a much more lethal force to be reckoned with. Stabbing llama head into the ground and flipping over another blind stab, Steel quickly plunged his clawed hand into a heartless' chest. He held it up and stabbed Umbrella into it's face before he swung it around horizontally into Llama head's waiting blade.

    "You're too brutal."

Steel stared at his ever present white haired companion and gave a tired sigh. The two of them had gone over this subject so many times that he was honestly quite sick of it.
"No, I'm really not Aura." His face was now a challenging glare... which in the case of his second in command might as well have been a polite request to argue with him. A pity he never seemed to remember that when it was important. In one of the most predictable manners, she glared right back.

    "There's blood Steel." Aura deadpanned.

"Ahem!" Both of the arguing parties turned to see the man dressed in black who sat at the other end of the table. His black hair didn't hide his raised eyebrow as he sloshed a suspiciously red liquid around in a very nice looking wine glass.

"Oh, that's different Robspear!" The silver eyed man gave a smirk at Aura's growled response. However, the distraction did nothing to deter the argument.

"There is no blood Aura. It's a reaction of the mind to the disturbed' spacial makeup. You should know this by now: if you don't like it then stop putting it there.

    "Guys...."

"Shut up Tyson!" They both growled in Unison at the would be peacemaker that was leaning against the wall behind Steel.

"Alright then." Tyson held up his hands to convey that he no longer considered the matter in his hands and crossed them back over his chest. "Geez..." Next to him, a fully dressed, brownish colored cat that stood on it's hind legs glanced at all of the people around the room in a confused manner.

"Do they do this often?" it asked it's white haired human compatriot in a female voice.

"Oh yeah Tee," Robspear supplied helpfully from his seat. "...They solve all their problems in pretty much the same way." He punctuated his sentence with a sip from his glass. Next to him, a man in a sleeveless hoodie couldn't help but enter the conversation in a hopeful yet resigned manner.

"Rock Paper Scissors?" He offered somewhat questioningly as he gave a small shrug and shook his head. Robspear stared at his neighbor rather incredulously.

"Umm... no Drake... with a sword fight." Drake threw his hands up in the air.

"Of course: those two would solve their problems with bladed objects!" He pinched the bridge of his nose and gave a tired sigh. Meanwhile, the argument continued.

"What if i'm not talking about the disturbed? What if i'm talking about people like Scarlet and Cancer?" She challenged him. A challenge to which Steel could only raise his eyebrows; a common habit in this room.

"You were under the impression that those were real people?"

"You look tired Drake." Alice said in complete ignorance of the conflict that her two friends had engrossed themselves in. "Perhaps you should take a nap." She suggested from her standing position next to her brother.

"I agree." Leonidas stated from his seat. "It's obvious that nothing of importance is going on right now, and this minor dispute could go on for hours: the rest of us should just relax to the best of our abilities for now."

"What I understand..." Aura began rather impatiently. "...Is that you treat every encounter the same: With flailing claws and gnashing teeth. No matter what the enemy is you brutally maul it!"

"They're Monsters Aura! They're not even really alive!"

"This probably won't end well." Leonidas pointed out as he and Alice finally took the time to observe the two arguing.

"Oh really...? Aura prepared her next statement.

"They'll probably get over it eventually." Alice Shrugged.

    "...Then please tell me..."

"Oh good, we're on this again." Leonidas shook his head.

"...Cause I've been curious for some time now..."

"It's really not that different..." Robspear muttered as he eyed his suspicious beverage. "...I drink more of this stuff than necessary."

    "...How exactly are they different..."

"If she was here they'd both get a punch to the face and this would be over with." Drake muttered with his head in his hands.

    "...From you?"

"So, Nia, we eating at your place tonight?"

    Silence.

"If this is how all of these things go... Then I am NEVER coming to another of these meeting AGAIN." The she-cat stated from next to Tyson.

"A decision you have been blessed with the privilege of being able to make." Tyson drawled.

Steel could do nothing but continue to glare at her in order to hide his pain.

When had she come to hate him so?

Steel brought out of his sudden flashback by a sharp pain. He was knocked to the ground and nearly impaled by a soldier's lance. Unfortunately for the Soldier, Steel was infuriated by the bad timing of his flashback, and it had practically just doomed itself. Steel grabbed the lance just before it could reach him and ripped it from the soldiers grasp. He turned the object around and impaled the Lance Soldier through the face. He then picked up Llama head, (which had fallen to the ground when he stopped the lance) and sliced the creature in half.

"Sir..." A voice began as the monster faded into smoke.

"Not a word Kai." Steel barked as dark smoke began emanate around him and spread about the field. The smokescreen confused the Heartless by blocking their solitary target from view, and he moved about the area freely as many of them searched fruitlessly.

Yes, he knew the Heartless were very different from the disturbed; he was just a bit to angry to care right now. This was made quite obvious by his next victim. After being impaled into the ground by its own weapon, Steel quite literally ripped the poor malleable creatures' head off.

He turned to continue his work as a crystallized heart floated into the night sky.

Sensing something amiss, Ananta looked behind her with the same goofy smile on her face that was there before. She was greeted with a lance that was nearly poking her face! Screaming and jumping back, she landed on her bottom and stared at the three new Lance Soldiers that decided to pop out of nowhere. "How am I gonna deal with you guys?" she asked herself, trying to think of a way to deal with them rather quickly. "If I had known there'd be more than three, I'd probably have run off towards another entrance..." she grumbled to herself. As she was mulling over what to do, Ananta didn't notice the Lance Soldier rushing towards her. Hearing the clunk and clang of it's armor, she looked up in time to see it's lance stick into the ground between her legs. Rolling backwards, she stood back up and dusted herself off. "That was too close for comfort!" she exclaimed. Huffing, she kept hopping back, dodging each lance strike. As she kept hopping, she stepped on a rock and slipped on it. Ananta began to fall, getting scratched by the lance, and landed on her side. Gripping the wound, she held her hand there while her Cure magic slowly began to work it's way into the wound. She summoned her keyblade and ran towards the Lance Soldier, striking it until it finally disappeared.

Holding her keyblade and standing still, Ananta huffed and puffed. Healing herself and fighting at the same time was not something she had to do often, so she exerted herself needlessly while trying to beat this Lance Soldier down. Grunting as she turned to stare at the remaining Lance Soldiers, Ananta swallowed hard and readied herself for another onslaught of attacks. She hoped that she wouldn't have to move too much, she wanted to finish healing herself, but she didn't want to be caught off guard either. Luckily for her, it seemed these Lance Soldiers were waiting for Ananta to go first. So, she decided to step around, as if she was going to attack, but didn't move too fast. The healing was taking awhile, but eventually she was done healing and was able to move about freely once more. Moving her hand away, she looked down at the previous area and saw nothing was left save for a small scratch where the lance had struck her. Cure magic was wonderful like that.

Grinning widely, Ananta ran towards one of the Lance Soldiers and immediately began wailing on it. She dodged it's strikes with relative ease, considering it was just poking at her wildly. This one seemed to be scared of Ananta, not wanting to get hurt at all. Ananta just wanted to recover her Mana by slapping it around a little. It was working, although her attacks were taking awhile. That's what happens when you focus on magic, you aren't so great with strength in the end, but your magic is deadly. Ananta didn't care, she would rather fight from far away than up close anyway.

With the second Lance Soldier defeated, all that was left was the third one. Hopefully, this one would be the last and she wouldn't have to fight anymore. Turning towards it, she tried slapping it with her keyblade, but was met with it's lance. Their weapons clanged together and made scratching noises as Ananta tried to push harder. After a few minutes of pushing, she managed to shove the heartless back and get a few good swings out onto it. With one last hit, the heartless was now defeated and Ananta could leave.
