Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Steel glanced at the wrist of his gauntlets only to remember that he didn't have a watch. He looked outside, but of course the place might as well have been in perpetual night. He remembered he had a stopwatch in his cloak but... that needed to remain hidden away for now. He decided to pull out a book and read throughout the escort: Aux would probably make the mistake of thinking he was too cocky and not paying any attention. He reached into his cloak and pulled out.... The Emerald Atlas. "Ooh. New York Times Bestseller... Isn't that like on -every- book?"

 

She was glad that they'd arrived, and from the outside the place actually looked quaint, homely even. But it was a whole different picture once Flynn opened the door. She saw the various thugs and ruffians stop what they were doing and look straight at them. She walked in right behind Flynn and Rapunzel, making sure that they wouldn't mess with her, and was met with this god-awful smell. She overheard him mention that it smelled like the color brown, and she couldn't help but agree. Kaida went off to correct the chef and Glen tried to buy a drink, but she was content on staying right where she was. "You!" She got in Flynn's face, finally finding a good excuse to vent all her anger. "Why would you lie to us like this? If you think I'm gonna let this slide, then you're in for a ruuude awakening."

 

Glen gulped down yet another drink. He was going through them rather quickly, being at his fourth already, but if he knew one thing it was how to down a drink with haste, and in the location they were in it didn't seem like it would be all too out of place. Slamming the glass onto the bar, he turned to the old man in the diaper. It was strange that he was in nothing but a diaper, but who was he to judge? He was with a party of people who fell for thieves and spoke to horses.

"What am I having? Your guess is as good as mine, friend! All I know is it tastes better and better with each one that goes down!" the keyblade wielder exclaimed. He then faced the bartender once again. "Two? TWO? Why stop at two? Make it five, anything they don't drink I'll get rid of!" he said cheerily as he raised the next glass to his lips and began guzzling the liquid down once again.​

 

Kaida had left the chef with the octopus just in time to hear Flynn comment about blood. Kaida did rush over briefly to look at the man's beard but then she made her way back over towards where Rapunzel and Flynn were. Kaida listened to Flynn's comment and her face quickly turned to disgust and she glared at him, "Are you serious? I can tell you right now this is not a five star establishment... but if it turns out it is, the rating system better go up to ten stars."

Kaida crossed her arms and spoke, "Are you wanna scare her back into a tower on her birthday. How could you." she heard a really loud noise behind her and she quickly turned to see a man wearing a horned hat holding a poster to the door, she looked at it and analyzed it was a wanted poster just in time to hear him say, "Is this you?" and then pointing at Flynn.

...Shoot!

 

Base stopped his playing the moment Aux started talking. The sudden appearance caused him to accidentally hit a sour chord, but that was somehow fitting for the situation. "Well, I was right to check ahead, but I guess I missed a rat." He remembered seeing people like Aux in the Castle of Dreams. They wore suits of armor like Krowley, but they just seemed...darker... Who exactly were they? And why did they look like Krowley at all? A thousand questions rushed through his head, but little was needed for Base to whip out his Keyblade and dash to Krowley's side.

 

A hut? Ananta had managed to find a - when she get on Beuce's shoulder? Whatever. Suddenly burning her at the stake didn't seem so out of place. " So how're we going to go about this. Casually knock on the door, kick the door down or what." Whatever they picked didn't matter a whole much to him, but he would still prefer the door kicking option. Though he had a feeling that something would happen before they could get to that point.

 

Luna smiled at both Belle and the Beast as they entered the Grand Ballroom. She then silently wished luck to the both of them in her heart. Luna turned around as she saw Aux a couple feet away from the group. "You! I have a bone to pick with you!!" Luna shouted toward him as she drew her keyblade forward. She stepped down the steps, making her way toward Aux. "Release Snow White...........now!" Luna spoke in in a tone that was both angry and upset. She kept walking toward Aux with her keyblade in hand.

 

Stratos's question more than not, answered unpurposefully by Ana and her lookout post that she had. They had done it! They had found the hut that the witch was most definitely probably 72% sure to be there. "Great job Ana!" Stratos called out to her giving a thumbs up. It was then that Kel asked what their plan of action should be. Right! Planning. Something that was quintessential to any endeavor through any situation. Turning to Kel, Stratos said in his calm demeanor, "well, the best case of action would probably be to calmly explain the situation to her and then beat her over the head with our various magics and keyblades if she insists on causing trouble."

 

Having escorted Belle to the proper location, the couple had gone off into the dining room along with the castle denizens. Now the group waited together, or at least he thought they were going to wait. At the front door stood a man wearing armor or a suit of some kind. He closely resembled Krowley, a lot. D'daear stood behind the group, watching the mysterious person carefully. It seemed they were well acquainted with this person, seeing as both Base and Luna summoned their keyblade; Krowley on the other hand remained motionless, only letting out a few words. Base stood by Krowley's side, while Luna proceeded to advance towards the stranger. She seemed rather upset about something. He stood behind Krowley and Base, not summoning his keyblade just yet.

"Ssoo...is this guy friendly or should I get ready for a fight?" he inquired with little concern, his head peering between both Krowley and Base.

 

A light smile came over his face as Karina's blade vanished and returned to its chosen wielder. "I believe the keyblade chooses those who it see's worthy, those who have a greater destiny than the average person." He swiped once more towards Vincent, blocking more of the hits, his vitality however was beginning to give way to the brutal attacks. His legs were shaking now. "Soon we can knock him out and help him our way."

While the two talked and settled everything, Kross stared at the beast. He hadn't moved an inch since they attacked. When the two took their place, he held his ground beside them, his stance rooted."Eon is right. I mean, I have the least talent of any wielder. I've always failed at Struggle matches, I'm the loser of my island, and the keyblade chose to spare me."he said, pointing his blade at the beast."I've always been considered weak. So I'll just have to work harder!" He sent a thunder spell at the beast.

 

Eon caught Karina after she was hit by Vincent. She really didn't have much defense, but he would be there to catch her. "You're wrong to Kross, you aren't weak. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. You aren't worthless, and neither is Karina." He stomped the ground and held his Keyblade high, one more strike would take out the vicious beast known as Vincent. "Hyaaa!" He yelled, forcing the beast to finally drop down and lose the battle.

Cat eyed Flynn, making his way to the bar with his arms up. It seemed a little too convenient that the "secret passage" would be in a joint like this, underneath a bar full of thugs. She didn't dare say that out loud for fear of starting an unnecessary conflict, but she was about ready to beat Flynn senseless for his lies. She looked at the older guy in a diaper joining in on Glen's senseless drinking, and Flynn was about ready to join them. Kaida insisted that the place was hardly a "five star joint" and she couldn't help but agree. There was no way this place was recognized for anything good. She walked over to the bar and pulled Glen off the stool by the back of the shirt. He was already a drunken mess, and she wouldn't let it get any worse. "Sorry boys, his chaperone is cutting off the funds." Was that was she'd become? His chaperone? Honestly, she was still a teenager. Why was everyone else so immature? Or was it just that she was too mature for them? "You really plan to get drunk now?" She'd gained some semblance of respect for him earlier, but now it disappeared as fast as the shots he'd taken. "Can't you at least wait until we're done helping her out? Honestly, grow up." And suddenly, the idea hit her. "You'll never be better than your old man while you're drunk. I guess you don't really want it that bad."

 

Glen was still drinking, still laughing quite a bit with his new friend, when Cat came over and pulled him off his stool. "Of course I plan to get drunk now. Have you even seen the way you and Etrius carry on? I mean come on, how am I meant to cope without a little help?" he asked rhetorically. He continued talking as Cat did. "If you expect me to continue on sober I think you have another thin- I'm sorry, what did you just say?" Glen asked sarcastically, all cheer now gone from his tone of voice.

The keyslinger stood straight and glared straight at Cat. "You don't know anything about me, and you don't know my father. I don't give a rat's ass whether you think I'll become stronger than him or not, because whether you believe I will or not, I will. Maybe not soon, maybe not even when i'm older, but one day I will. Until then, you just sit there playing with dollies and dreaming of thieves that come to steal your affections, and don't you dare speak to me like that again" Glen said in as much of an intimidating tone as he could muster. With that being said, he reached over and snatched up the glass of alcohol he had been drinking, before storming over to one of the walls of the snuggly duckling and slumping down against it.​

 

Cat listened to Glen suddenly act as sober as he'd ever been. She would've almost been impressed... if he hadn't talked about her "playing with dollies and dreaming of thieves that come to steal her affections." That was where she drew the line. She took a moment to let him think he was safe and right when he walked to the back wall with his drink in hand, she moved over and punched him in the head. "Don't EVER patronize me! At least you knew your father! At least you know whether or not he cared." She turned back around and stopped at the entrance. "You wanna get drunk, fine. But don't expect anyone to be there when you get sick." She walked out and sat herself underneath a window outside the restaurant. Her own doubts were bad enough, but now he had to say them aloud. She stuffed her face in her arms. "I'm done helping him. I'll stay with it for Rapunzel, but..."

 

Steel silently flipped through the pages of his book amongst the goings-on around him. He spoke up to answer D'daear's question. "Technically he is counted among foe, yet at this point, to fight him would be to counteract our dear leaders' purpose. I would recommend preparing yourself, but don't pull out any bladed objects just yet." He directed his gaze at Base and Luna as he said this last part. "You want to talk to him, don't you Krowley?" It wasn't so much a question as a matter of fact statement. He gestured with a free hand. "Then talk." He went back to his book to find a particularly interesting scene awaiting him.
