Model and Moveset should work, Basic ones always seem to. It's calling someone in that isn't in the area/dump is what usually fails. And animodding..you are lucky you have me. :B|:​

instructions:
go to first district without holding a joker
then when you see yourself playing as leon
press a joker
then press attack and it should be animated
also u dont need to exit and come back
just swap animations with the joker button :P
