Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix Translation Patch (In progress)

I'm just gonna squash this right now sora6645 Hidden Smithery will translate the command menu when he/she wants to the best thing to do right now is to be patient.

It's not that I've been putting off translating the abilities/command menu, it's just that I simply cannot find them in the ISO with my current/only tool. If they're encrypted they're out of my reach right now.

To any passersby in the future, would contacting Falo for help be a good idea? Perhaps he would be able to help me reach the bulk of the text and would be willing to write something for me after seeing what progress I've made with a hex editor alone.

Sorry for the delay, the program I use to actually make the patch file is being a bit weird right now. The patch file has grown from a few kilobytes to over 400 megabytes and I need to find out if that's right. It doesn't sound right to me but perhaps it is..

It's right . Cuz more work u do on the patch . It grows . And may take awhile to patch the ISO file with... Just upload the patch and I will see what I can do with the command menu and stuff . Since the patch is so absurdly large, I'm splitting it into 3 pieces. I have to go but I'll post the links to download them asap and I need someone to verify that it still patches correctly. I don't want to have to resort to uploading the entire iso.

Okay, I'm calling bullshit on this now. The PPF-making program said that it found 10478268 differences between my version and the original, unedited, FM.

 

What did u had in mine for kh2 project ?

 

Not really the place to talk about that. Basically I want to A: fix up grammar/capitalization problems; and B: see if a model can be extracted (done), edited, and re-inserted into the game and it work.

Meanwhile, can someone please try to send Falo a link to this thread and find out if he could help with getting the encrypted text editable?

ok for translating the command menu and abbitlys . did u ever try the other thing that root posted on page 2 ? did u ever tryed that method . mabey if u tryed his method . mabey u can find the command menu and stuff
