Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

103.4...that definitly wasn't good. Sora shook his head slightly, keeping his gaze on the thermometer screen. He was definitly sick...and it was actually worse than he thought. Yes, he did feel terrible, but he wasn't expecting a fever that high.

 

Kairi looked up, her violet-blue eyes catching onto Sora's slight head movement as she walked through the room, the boy staring at the thermometer. "What's it say?" she asked softly as she carried the water in her right hand. By the look he had on his face, she guessed it wasn't good.

 

Sora looked up slightly, hearing Kairi's soft voice enter his ears. He looked back down at the thermometer, reading the number to Kairi. "One-o-three point 4," Sora responded quietly, his eyes going back up to Kairi when he was done speaking.

 

Kairi's eyes widened slightly for a second before her eyebrows furrowed over them a little, taking that information in. Well, that definitely wasn't good... Good thing she had the medicine. The girl put the glass of water on the endtable next to the medicine before she grabbed the small bottle again. Kairi never did finish reading the information on it...

 

Sora looked over at Kairi, lowering the thermometer. He just then noticed that she had medicine over there...along with a glass of water. He hadn't seen either before, and he figured that was because he wasn't really focusing on the moment at hand, too distracted with his sickness.

 

Kairi pressed her lips together subconciously, focusing on the words against the label of the medicine bottle. Helps headaches, nausea, muscle pain, and fever, Kairi read mentally. Well, that was mostly what she wanted. Her indigo eyes continued to read the words printed on the bottle, the girl still standing next to Sora's bed.

 

Sora bit his lip subconciously, seeing Kairi looking at the medicine. He didn't know what she was thinking about, or why she was holding onto the medicine. But he could only wait patiently, so he didn't risk offending Kairi in any way.

 

"It says to take 2 tablets every 6 hours," Kairi informed Sora softly, looking up from her gaze on the medicine in her hand. "It should help get rid of your fever." Her eyes met his ocean-blue, the girl blinking once before her sight readjusted. She was sure that taking two pills every couple hours wouldn't be that hard to remember.

 

Sora blinked once, focusing in on Kairi. He stopped biting his lip when his eyes met hers, and he took in her words. "Alright," Sora responded softly nodding faintly in response to Kairi's statements.

 

Kairi kept her eyes on Sora's for a second, nodding once before she flicked her gaze to the bottle again. She brought her hand to the lid and popped it off, putting it in between her fingers. She then tilted the bottle over, pouring two tablets into her palm.

 

Sora kept his eyes on Kairi for a moment, grateful that she was here with him. Even if things earlier hadn't been so nice, he was thankful that they could set aside their problem for now and work on the problem at hand. The brunette saw two tablets fall into her hand and he reached forward without thought, palm up as he waited patiently for his medicine.

 

Kairi pulled the bottle back, tilting it upright as she lifted her gaze. Her eyes immediately fell on Sora's outstretched hand, palm up, and she reacted naturally to it, turning her hand over and setting the two pills in his hand. Once they were in his palm, Kairi pulled her hand back and began to put the lid back on the medicine bottle.

 

"Thank you," Sora said softly to Kairi, hoping to let her know through those two simple words that he was grateful she was helping him out here. He pulled his hand in closer to him, and he picked up the first pill with his other hand before popping it in his mouth and swallowing it. And then he did the same with the second, doing it quickly just to get it over with.

OOC: I really am exhausted. =/ I'm off for tonight...I'll try to let you know if I find out what I'm doing during the afternoon. Bye!

 

"Sure," Kairi said softly, having heard a bit of appreciation behind his two spoken words. The girl kept her eyes on the medicine for a second, putting the cap back on before she looked at Sora. Her eyes met his form just in time to see him swallowing the pills already, and she arched a brow slightly in wonder. "You didn't want to use the water?" she asked without thought, pointing her index finger at the glass of water on his nightstand.

Sora followed Kairi's point, seeing the water on the end table. "I will now," he responded, reaching over to grab the water. After swallowing two pills, he was glad that Kairi had thought to get him a glass. He lightly brought the glass up to his lips, swallowing some water.

 

Kairi lowered her hand, her eyes following Sora's movements. She smiled at his words, but the smile was very faint. This wasn't really a time for smiling, considering the seriousness of Sora's condition. The redhead tucked some of her hair behind her ear as she put the medicine back on the nightstand.

 

Sora took a few more sips of water, and it helped his throat feel more moist again. Not only that, but it also felt as if it helped cool him down a little bit as well. He slowly pulled the glass away from his lips, reaching over slightly to set it on the end table. "Thanks," Sora said again, his quiet voice filled with gratitude.

 

Kairi let her eyes shift from the nightstand to Sora again, and she nodded. "You're welcome," she said softly, able to make out that appreciation in his voice again.

 

Sora looked up at Kairi's response, meeting her violet-blue eyes again. Unfortunatly, he could see some of the emotions inside them--sadness, concern, worry, unsureness--Sora was sure those weren't only caused by this moment, but by what had happened earlier. He knew that they did need to talk about things...but where would they start? There was so much to say...

 

Kairi let her eyes leave Sora's for a second, noticing the space available next to him on the bed, where she had sat before. The girl silently took that space again, setting herself down on the edge of Sora's bed before she flitted her eyes up to him again. She was pretty curious about a few things, but one that was more revolved around this situation. "...What do you think could've made you sick?" Kairi asked softly, letting her eyes meet Sora's again mid-sentence. It was April, so she was sure that it couldn't be the weather...
