Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

Sora shut his eyes for a moment as he pushed himself up a bit more, feeling light-headed. However, he decided he wasn't going to be lying down with Kairi in his room with him. He didn't want her worrying about him or anything. And besides, maybe sitting up would help him feel better... the brunette finished pushing himself up, opening his eyes as he released a breath. It held a slight tremble, which he only noticed because he was the one who had released the air.

 

Kairi pressed her lips together as she kept her eyes on her lap for the moment, her dark jeans still on from the night before. She took in a breath softly through her nose as she tried to think of something she could say that could actually resemble what she thought, but not be so rushed and upfront. The girl blinked once, her indigo eyes focusing on her lap as the silence between her and Sora continued.

 

Sora blinked once, his vision blurring slightly as he looked at the wall in front of him. Things didn't clear up immediatly, so he blinked two more times in panic. Doing that, things finally started to clear up. But his aching head...the burning of his cheeks, that was still there. He winced faintly, suddenly feeling a stronger headache starting.

 

Kairi nibbled on her lower lip, rummaging through her brain to try and find what exactly she wanted to say to Sora. Yes, she wanted to say she was deeply sorry for betraying him the way she did...and she wanted to admit that. Betrayal. She wouldn't try to convince herself that she didn't do it, because she did. Sneaking out and leaving without a word, especially when the person she loved thought she was safe and going to remain that way.

 

Sora furrowed his eyebrows slightly as he shut his eyes, his head pounding. Sitting up definitly didn't make him feel any better. If anything, it made him feel worse. Much worse. Sora brought up a hand without thought, bringing it to his head. He gripped his head lightly, trying to get the discomfort to fade away.

 

Kairi turned her head slightly, her eyes wandering up to the boy that now sat up next to her. Once her indigo eyes fell on him, her eyebrows immediately furrowed over them slightly when she noticed a bead of sweat trickling down his temple and the position he held himself in.

 

Sora ground his teeth together slightly, inhaling through his nose before releasing it. He did feel horrible, and the one way he could think of to fix that was to calm himself down. But...he wasn't even upset in the first place. Not at that moment, anyway. So really, there wasn't much he could do to make his sick feeling disapear. He released the breath, though that provided no comfort either.

 

Kairi gazed at Sora in concern for a moment, wondering if he was just hot from lying in his bed or still tired. She didn't know what was going on, but...she got this feeling that it wasn't good, whatever it was. Kairi tilted her head to the side slightly, a small bit of her hair sliding off her shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked softly, forgetting her worries for herself.

 

Sora opened his eyes at the voice, hearing concern behind it. He turned his head slightly to face Kairi, and he saw more worry in her eyes. How was he supposed to answer a question like that? He really wasn't alright, but at the same time, he didn't want to worry her. "I'm okay," Sora responded softly, holding Kairi's gaze. He was sure his eyes betrayed the lie, though. He wasn't a good liar in the first place, and he definitly wasn't good at lying in serious conditions like this, either.

 

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed a little more when her eyes connected with Sora's, seeing how tired he appeared to be, but there was something else within the depths of his ocean-blue eyes that she couldn't quite make out yet. She felt that she wasn't being told something. But...she guessed that would only be fair, considering what she did to him last night; Kairi hadn't whispered a word to Sora about her situation either.

 

Sora slowly brought down his hand, noticing that Kairi apparently didn't believe him. He exhaled softly, the breath leaving as a quiet sigh. "I'm not quite feeling my best today," he admitted carefully, choosing his words with great thought so he wouldn't worry Kairi.

 

"...Are you sick?" Kairi asked softly, her eyebrows lifting up slightly as she kept her gaze on Sora. Her lips parted slightly as she waited for an answer, trying to connect the dots, the clues that were visible to her physically.

 

Sora nodded faintly, lowering his gaze for a brief moment before he looked up at Kairi. "Depends on what you mean by sick..." he started softly, trailing off without completing the thought. If she meant sick with a cold, then no. But he was sick...just for another reason.

 

Kairi pressed her lips together slightly, taking in Sora's words. It depends? Well, he did appear to be sick physically, by the way he had a few beads of sweat sneakily trickling down his temple. And the way he had paused for a moment when sitting up... Holding his head... Without thought, Kairi lifted a hand and gently placed it on Sora's forehead, her eyes following her movement.

 

Sora exhaled softly when Kairi's hand came to his forehead, and he lowered his eyes, looking down. Her head felt cool against his head, and he guessed that he was probably burning up. Well, there's no taking it back now, Sora thought to himself. Kairi obviously saw that he was sick, and he couldn't take away her concern when she did have good reason to worry. The teen stayed silent, making no move to remove Kairi's hand from his forehead.

 

Kairi let her hand stay against Sora's forehead for a moment, her hand having pushed a few of his spikes up. His forehead was damp and hot compared to her skin, and she figured out then that he was running a high temperature. Her eyes widened faintly at the knowledge, and she let her hand move down from Sora's forehead to his cheek, the back of her hand against his skin. "I think you're running a fever," Kairi said softly.

 

Sora's eyes found Kairi's hand on his cheek, and he looked at the for a moment. Then he looked back up at Kairi, taking in her soft spoken words. "I think you're right," Sora told her softly, concern apparant in her violet-blue eyes. Gosh, he really wished he wasn't worrying her with all this...but there was really nothing he could do about it now.

 

Kairi pulled her hand back, setting it in her lap as she met Sora's eyes again. "We probably need to make sure," she said, immediately pushing her own troubles aside. "You have a thermometer in your bathroom, right?" Kairi blinked once before locking with Sora's eyes again. He felt hot, and since his forehead was damp, he looked it too. Even though she felt that her guess was correct, she had to be sure that she was right.

 

Sora nodded faintly, Kairi's eyes looking back into his again. "Yeah," Sora responded quietly, blinking once when his head suddenly rang out in pain again. "It's in the same cabinate as the medicine." If he had a fever, he definitly needed to take something. And if he didn't, he would take medicine anyway, since he felt so terrible.

OOC: Gotta go for the night, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get on around the same time as you tommorrow in the afternoon, but I'll probably come on later that night anyway...around 10:30 is my time? Just a guess, really. Oh well, bye!

 

Kairi nodded once before she pushed herself up from the bed, starting toward Sora's door. She figured that since he most likely did have a fever, he would need some medicine to help take it down. The girl looked to her feet for a second before she lifted her gaze, leaving Sora's room and entering the hall to reach the bathroom.
