Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

When he had gone to save Namine, Sora had just been about to take her out of the building when something happened. A tiny gas can had rolled into the room, and it released some form of gas. Sora had no idea what it was, but Smith had expected it to kill him. He shivered slightly without thought, pulling the blankets closer to himself. No wonder he was sick; even though the gas didn't kill him, it was still having an effect on him. He should have expected that, but with all the other action, he had almost forgot that part of the rescue had happened.

 

Kairi blinked once, her eyes refocusing on the door that led into the hallway. Sora had to understand her place, though, right? She was...stuck in the middle. If she went one way, she helped Roxas and Namine, but also went against Sora. But if she headed in the other direction, she sided with the boy she loved, but lost her friend...and probably the other too. It was just so complicated! Because Kairi was so important to the worlds, she was always somehow a root of a certain problem. And this just happened to be one of them.

 

Sora exhaled heavily, turning his head on the pillow. He felt absolutely terrible...weak, hurt, sick. Everything was mixed together, and that was never a good combination.

 

Kairi stopped biting her lip, wondering what Sora was doing right now. Things were a little awkward earlier, and she had been surprised that he had asked her to stay with him. She didn't really understand it at first, but then she figured that all the chaos had just been too much, and that maybe being alone wasn't a good idea for anyone. The fact that they were apart from each other now contradicted that thought, though.

 

Sora burried his head deeper into the pillow, his eyebrows furrowed slightly in discomfort. He was more awake now, though not completely. Besides, he didn't want to become fully concious yet; he wanted to escape the pain as long as possible.

 

Before she even realized what she was doing, Kairi was throwing the covers off of her and getting out of the bed. She started walking across the room to the door, passing the window she had snuck out of really early in this morning. She had to speak to Sora, to set things straight. The girl reached for the door handle and turned it, pulling the door open before she stepped out into the hall.

 

Sora exhaled silently, his eyebrows returning to their normal places as he forced himself to relax. His tension wasn't helping him feel any better, after all. He just needed to relax a little bit...maybe then his sick feeling would disapear. At least, he hoped that was true.

 

Kairi brought a hand to her hair subconciously, running her fingers through it to get rid of the bed hair that always drove her crazy. She walked down the hall a little ways before she saw Sora's door, and that was when she hesitated. She stopped in the middle of the hallway, biting on her lip again. What if...what if he didn't want to talk to her? What if he was really mad?

 

Sora exhaled lightly, his head pounding. His cheeks were flushed, his face burning up...he felt so sick. He just wanted to drift back into unconciousness to ignore that feeling, but unfortuantly, sleep would not return to him.

 

Maybe this is a bad idea... Kairi thought timidly. She wasn't sure what exactly she was going to say to Sora when she saw him anyway. They didn't say anything to each other early this morning, not anything that she could remember. And she began to wonder if that silence between them would still drag on...unless, of course, she broke it first. Just by standing here, she was stretching out that silence. Her mind told her to go back and keep to herself, but her heart told her that settling things was the right way to go. And Kairi's heart was too strong for her to really ignore, and she now found herself in front of Sora's door, which was opened a crack already. Hesitance was no longer in the question; Kairi had to stop being a coward, especially when it came to the person she loved.

 

Sora moved under the blankets a little bit, his fist coming uncurled a little by his head. He felt naseous, but he was going to control the urge to vomit simply because he didn't think he could make it to the bathroom. He had never felt so weak before...or sick. It was a very terrible feeling.

 

Kairi pressed her lips together before she brought her knuckles to the door, lightly tapping them against the wood. She was a little aware that she was holding her breath out of nervousness, and because she realized that she had never been this way before. Kairi had never been so nervous...or intimidated by Sora, of all people. But something new washed over her, and she was a little overwhelmed at how hard it hit her.

 

Sora opened his eyes partway, hearing a faint noise. At least, he thought he did...or did he imagine it. He looked to the door, and somehow he knew that Kairi was there. Nothing really gave it away...he just felt it. "Come in," he answered softly without thought, his eyes staying on the door.

 

Kairi exhaled her breath that had been kept in her lungs, pushing the door open silently. Her eyes roamed the room for a quick second before they fell on the bed, and the boy on it. Her indigo orbs met the piercing blue opposite her, and she stood where she was just inside his room. "...Hi," she greeted softly, feeling that shyness start to come over her again...but then again, it never really left.

 

"Hi," Sora responded quietly, tiredly meeting Kairi's gaze. Even in his terrible state, he could sense a certain shyness coming from her. And even though they did have a bad experience earlier, he didn't want her to feel uneasy. He did still lover her, after all. Things hay have been weird between them, but he at least hoped that Kairi understood that he didn't plan on giving up on her just because of one bad experience.

 

The response reached Kairi's ears in a soft tone, but that wasn't the only thing she caught on to. There was something different...and she didn't know whether it was her or not. No, of course it had to be her. She was the one feeling timid anyway, and having a little self-doubt. Sora was fine, though he did look exhausted as he lied in his bed. And now that Kairi actually looked at him, she noticed something different about him. But what was it exactly?

 

"...Would you like to sit down?" Sora asked softly, moving his hand down slightly as he pat an open spot in front of him. As much as he did want to talk about things with Kairi, it didn't quite feel right at that moment. But he did want her to know that he wasn't going to treat her as if he were mad at all, or upset. He still cared for her greatly, and that was what he wanted to show her now.

 

Kairi blinked her violet-blue eyes once, Sora's voice snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked to his hand, where he motioned for her to sit down. She nodded faintly once, starting across the room to reach his bed. Her eyes flitted to the floor for a second in uncertainty; what was she going to say to him now that she was in here? She hadn't thought of anything while she had hesitated in the hall. The girl let her eyes flick up again, her gaze falling on Sora again as she reached his bedside. Silently, she placed herself where he gestured for her to, sitting beside him.

 

Sora brought his hand up slightly, pressing it down in front of him on the bed. He grunted softly, starting to push himself up. Dizziness rushed to him, making him blink once in surprise and momentarily pause. He just hoped Kairi didn't notice he was sick...

 

Kairi let her eyes rest on Sora for a minute, noticing that he stopped lifting himself up for a second. She didn't think much of it, figuring that he just lifted his head too fast or something to cause him to pause. She let her eyes flick to her lap, where her hands rested on top of on another.
