Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

Namine exhaled softly, Roxas touch comforting her. She wasn't alone...he was here with her. And he wasn't going to leave her, not when it really mattered. That was what was most important to her. Namine relaxed into Roxas' embrace a little more, his touch being the cause of that.

 

Roxas let his rubbing motion continue on as he let his eyes leave Namine's form. He looked out at the living room in front of him, at nothing in particular. He inhaled and then exhaled silently, feeling Namine relax against him.

 

Namine let her eyes close again, noticing how heavy they felt. She was surprised by that at first, and then she remembered that she had woken up against her will. The truth was, she was still feeling drained from everything that had happened. And with Roxas here holding her...gently rubbing her back, Namine almost felt as if she could fall asleep again.

 

Roxas blinked once, refocusing his eyes. Lowering his gaze to the blonde in one of his arms, he gently released his other hand from hers and brought up his arm, wrapping it around Namine's front and bringing her closer to him.

 

Namine felt warmth in her heart when Roxas pulled her closer, making Namine feel safe and protected. Her eyes stayed shut, because she was suddenly feeling too tired to open them again. Her free hand moved over a little, sitting lightly on Roxas' knee.

 

"I'll be here when you wake up this time," Roxas whispered quietly to Namine, now holding her close. "I promise." After how horrifying it appeared to have been for her just moments ago, he definitely didn't want to see her go through it again. Roxas was going to stay with her this time, to be there for her in case another nightmare haunted her dreams.

 

Namine's lips turned up slightly at Roxas' words, the girl believing in his promise. She was glad to hear those words before she drifted off into unconciousness again; it was very reassuring. Unable to force herself to speak, Namine simply pulled herself a little closer to Roxas, snuggling her head against his shoulder.

 

Roxas tightened his hold around Namine slightly when she moved closer, somehow getting a sense of protecting her this way. The boy lowered his head slightly, letting his head rest on top of Namine's blonde hair.

 

Namine softly released a breath, feeling warmth from being so close to Roxas. It was strange...no thoughts were even haunting her now. Roxas really was the best guardian angel ever, and Namine doubt it was possible for him to realize what a huge affect he had on her at that moment alone.

 

Roxas slowly scooted back on the couch, gently bringing Namine with him as he leaned into the back of the couch. He still held her in his arms, keeping his arms protectively around her as if he could fight off anything right then and there, by just having her in his arms. Roxas looked down at Namine for a minute before he lowered his head and let it rest on hers again, allowing silence to engulf the room.

 

Namine wrapped her other arm around Roxas' front without thought, feeling him moving back deeper into the couch. Namine didn't mind the movement; it made her even more comfortable. She kept her head lightly against Roxas' shoulder, fading out of conciousness while still in his protective embrace.

 

Roxas exhaled a breath softly, his head still lightly resting on top of Namine's as he held her in his arms. He stared down at the couch as he listened to the silence, nothing entering his ears; that was good. There was no screaming, hollering, crying...nothing. And Roxas was beginning to like it that way.

 

Namine was aware of a certain peace hovering around her, and she knew that was because Roxas was holding her. When I wake up, Namine thought sleepily, her thoughts starting to become more groggy. I'll..have to...thank him, for this... Namine's tense body relaxed a little more as she faded out of conciousness completely, safe in Roxas' arms.

 

Roxas felt Namine's form lean into him a little more, and he knew then that she was most likely asleep. He stayed where he was, being sure the keep his promise to her.

It was later that day, and Sora was still in bed, sleeping uneasily. It wasn't necessarily thoughts or dreams that kept him so on edge, but a sick feeling he had. His head was pounding, his stomach upset, and he felt like he was so hot. But he kept up all his covers, knowing he was going to be cold without them. A breath left him in the form of a sigh as he rolled over onto his side, his face coated in sweat as he slept.

 

Kairi sat up in the bed of the guest room, her back against the headboard of the bed. She had her arms wrapped loosely around her knees, which were pulled up to her chest while the covers remained over them. She sighed softly, blowing her red bangs up in the process as she kept her eyes closed. She had been awake for a while, but just didn't really have the urge to move. She was still trying to sort everything out in her head, today's early morning events scrambled in her head.

 

Sora moved one hand up in his sleep, letting it rest in a loose fist beside his head. He was greatly uncomfortable, and in his hazy state, he couldn't quite figure out why that was. He felt so sick, and though he desperatly just wanted to sleep it off, sleep illuded him. It left him in a half-awake state as he laid there, alone in his silent bedroom.

 

What she had done...was it the right or wrong thing to do? Kairi had left to help out her best friend, who was used as bait because Kairi was the one who was wanted. But...she had also gone behind Sora's back, and...in a way...deceived him. So, was she right or wrong with her decision to help Namine out? Or was Kairi both? The girl opened her eyes, and let her indigo eyes fall on her knees, beginning to nibble on her lower lip as she tried to sort things out.

 

Sora forced himself awake slightly, trying to understand what was wrong. He realized that it was early evening now, but why was he in bed...? Oh, right--he had been out early that morning helping to rescue Namine. And when he had been alone in that room with her...Sora shut his eyes a little more tightly, starting to realize why he was feeling so sick.

 

Even if Kairi was both wrong and right with her decision, she knew that one of the situations turned out for the better. And that situation was getting Namine away from Smith, and the boys defeating him for good so he could no longer want her for her princess title, or want to hurt her friends. Kairi continued to nibble on her lip as the other side of that thought was recognized. In the midst of rescuing Namine, Sora had found out that Kairi snuck out of the house with Roxas. And that was when Kairi realized that she had hurt him...pretty badly. Without thought, Kairi's eyes darted to the door of the guest bedroom, thinking about the boy.
