Namine saw Roxas studying her, and she let him, not moving. Though she did feel a little self-concious, she didn't feel right looking away from him. She needed to prove that she trusted him again, and that she loved him. Not only that, but she also didn't want to look away from those bright, ocean blue eyes. She hadn't seen them for a while, because she had been seperated from him. And now, she just wanted to look into them as long as she could, so she would never forget the love he held for her. Or the care behind his gaze. She never wanted to doubt again.

 

Roxas's eyes softened slightly as he looked Namine over, one hand coming up without thought and touching her face, his fingers lightly brushing over her skin. Gosh, how rough had Smith been on her?

 

Namine's eyes flitted down at the touch, the girl feeling Roxas' fingers lightly run over her face. He came very close to touching one of the marks on her face, but at least he hadn't actually run over it. Smith had been....very rough with her, and it was actually so bad, Namine was a little surprised by that. But she shouldn't have been; Smith was pure evil.

 

Roxas felt himself leaning forward slightly, but then he stopped, hesitating while biting his lip. He didn't want to hurt Namine; causing her pain was one of the things he didn't want to do the most.

 

With her arms still wrapped around Roxas' neck, Namine felt him lean forward slightly. And then he suddenly stopped. Namine flitted her sky-blue eyes up again, meeting Roxas' gentle blue orbs.

 

Roxas exhaled a silent breath through his nose, his cobalt blue eyes meeting Namine's sky-blue. He looked into her eyes for a moment, seeing a sense of curiosity in them. He lowered his gaze from her eyes to her right cheek for a second before shifting his sight back to her light blue orbs again. With a little more hesitance, he waited a second before he leaned in again. Roxas turned his head slightly as he gently pressed his lips to Namine's cheek, lightly kissing one of the marks against her skin.

 

Namine shut her eyes, feeling a light stinging sensation from Roxas' touch. She tried her best to show no sign of pain, though she couldn't ignore the discomfort she felt. His kiss was soft, comforting. And even if it did cause her pain, she didn't want him to pull away, either.

 

Roxas's eyes had automatically closed at the small kiss, and he kept his lips on Namine's skin for a moment before he opened his eyes. He noticed that her eyes were closed, and he didn't know if that was in comfort or pain. He pulled back suddenly, eyes wide. "S-sorry," Roxas stuttered, worried he had hurt her.

 

Namine opened her eyes at the voice, hearing concern in Roxas' tone. She met his eyes without hesitation, seeing worry in their depths. "It's all right," Namine said softly, a weak smile appearing on her lips.

 

"I didn't hurt you, did I?" Roxas asked, worry still written on his features even though Namine's smile was meant to soothe him. Causing her pain was the last thing he wanted to do.

 

Namine's eyes softened, the girl taking in Roxas' concern. She wasn't going to lie; his touch had started up the stinging sensation that she felt now, even though he had backed away. "It's just a little sting," Namine said softly, moving one of her hands to the back of Roxas' neck. She set her fingers lightly on his neck, trying to comfort him through the gesture. "Don't worry about it."

 

Roxas lowered his gaze at the answer, but nodded anyway. He felt Namine's hand on the back of his neck, and her soft touch did help him relax a little. But he was still a little uncomfortable with the fact that his gesture that was meant to be comforting and gentle was actually painful.

 

"It's no big deal," Namine said softly, her tone comforting as she started playing with some of Roxas' spikes. A small smile appeared on her lips, the girl looking at Roxas despite the fact he looked away. "I appreciate the gesture...so much." She knew he was only trying to be gentle with her, and it meant a lot to her.

 

Roxas's eyes flitted up after Namine spoke. His bright blue eyes met her sky-blue. "Really?" he asked softly, one of his arms still wrapped around her back.

 

Namine smiled at Roxas' gently, holding his gaze. "Of course," she responded softly, her fingers continuing to play with Roxas' spiky hair as she kept her eyes on the blond boy in front of her.

 

Roxas felt a small smile come across his features, but after a second it turned into a slightly embarrassed smile. "Okay...'cause I was kinda going for one of those 'kiss it and make it better' type of things," he explained, his expression showing a little of his embarrassment.

 

Namine's smile softened at Roxas' words. She thought it was so adorable what he was trying to do, and she only wished that it really did take the pain away. "Let's try this," she requested softly, bringing her left hand to her side as he right stayed on Roxas' neck. She gently grabbed his free hand, bringing it up to her face and lightly setting it on her cheek. It did hurt some, but having Roxas that close was worth the pain.

 

Roxas's eyes followed Namine's movement, feeling her hand grab his and then gently set it against her cheek. His gaze shifted from his hand and then to her for a moment before he looked back again. He didn't want to hurt her, even if it was just a little stinging sensation.

 

Namine saw that Roxas' wasn't too sure about this, and for that reason, Namine kept her hand lightly on top of his. She gazed into his eyes, trying to make him feel more comfortable with this. She knew what she was doing by keeping his hand there. Roxas was providing her with comfort, and that was the only thing that mattered to her.

 

Roxas felt Namine's soft gaze on him, and without hesitation he looked up at her. His eyes met hers, and he could see how she was silently trying to comfort him. Apparently he was pretty readable in this situation, and he was sure his expression gave that away.
