Namine continued to kiss Roxas, feeling some of the emotions inside her lifting. She decided to leave behind all her other emotions, and simply trust that Roxas wouldn't let her down. He never had before, and she doubt he was about to any time soon. Even though his embrace around her was very tight, Namine found a way to move her arms, lightly wrapping them around Roxas' lower back as she kissed him deeply.

 

Roxas held Namine close to his chest as he kissed her, at the same time feeling her wrap her arms around his back. That only meant that she was trusting him again, and no longer having doubts, which relieved him to a great degree. The deepness of their kiss and the strength of the love behind it--on Roxas's side--was because of how much he loved this girl in his arms, and he was so grateful to have her with him. He hadn't been this close to Namine since yesterday, and he couldn't have been happier to have her this close now.

 

Namine felt herself running out of air, but she didn't care, continuing to kiss Roxas deeply. The tears continued to run down her cheeks, the girl so relieved that Roxas was holding her again. She felt a sense of security, as well as reassurance flood her heart, making her feel a little more confident again.

 

Roxas kept his hands in place on Namine's back, his right hand pressed against her lower back while his left was supporting the middle of her back. The room was silent around them, but Roxas didn't pay any attention to his surroundings; he only focused on the girl he was kissing and holding in his arms.

 

Namine was choking back sobs as she kissed Roxas, trying to keep control of her emotions enough to savor the kiss. She had believed everything Smith had said to her...she was so ashamed she had given into his lies, and this was the reason why she was still crying heavily.

 

Roxas moved his left hand from its place on Namine's back and slid it up her shoulder to her neck, finally resting it there. Their kiss hadn't halted yet, but he could feel himself losing air; he didn't care, though. The girl in front of him was what mattered, and he didn't want to end this kiss just yet, still savoring it.

 

How could Namine have given in? Roxas certainly didn't give up; he made that clear a few moments ago. He had said...he would fight for her, if she didn't herself. That meant the world to her, and she knew that his love for her wasn't as Smith had suggested it to be. His love was real, and it didn't end because bad things happened to them. It endured everything, and Namine had a feeling she was never going to lose this boy. Not willingly, on either side. She was going to fight back against fate, which seemed to be trying to tear them apart. It didn't matter how hard the battle was, just as long as she was with Roxas.

 

Roxas continued the kiss, still aware he was losing oxygen. Regardless, he continued it, his lips coming in contact with Namine's again after they briefly separated. His eyes stayed shut, savoring the kiss while it was still taking place. The hand Roxas had against Namine's neck moved up slightly, his finger brushing the bottom of her cheek. He felt wetness briefly before his palm cupped her cheek. By the light touch, he noticed that her skin was damp. From the sound that had left Namine's lips earlier, he knew that she was crying, and still was. That only made him want to hold her longer and continue the kiss to make it stop, but because Roxas was almost completely out of air, he had to end the kiss. The boy slowly pulled back, gently separating his lips from Namine's.

 

Namine felt relieved when Roxas finally pulled away, the girl finally able to breath again. She silently inhaled before swallowing one time, choking back the sobs that wanted to escape. A soft one did leave her lips, but it was out of her control; she couldn't stop crying now. As her eyes stayed shut, she continued crying, catching her breath as well.

 

As Roxas drew in a needed breath, his eyes opened and immediately locked onto Namine's face. His expression reflected one of sadness; he hated to see her cry. He kept his right hand against her lower back while the hand on her cheek started to gently wipe away the tears that flooded from one of her eyes. His thumb softly went over the damp skin on Namine's cheek, brushing a few tears away.

 

Namine sniffled without thought, feeling Roxas' hand gently wiping at her tears. She could feel sadness from behind his gaze, but she couldn't stop crying, though she desperatly wanted to. "S-Sorry," she whispered without thought, her eyes staying closed. She wasn't only referring to this moment, but to everything that happened earlier. She shouldn't have doubt his love...

 

Roxas exhaled softly through his nose, hearing her apology and accepting it in silence. He didn't really know what to say; the things she had said did hurt him. It felt like Namine was a different person at that point, the way she had seemed so doubtful about everything...especially the way he felt for her. But Roxas knew that people made mistakes, and this just happened to be one of them. Regardless, he was going to be there for Namine, like he said he would. He continued to wipe away at the tears that fell from her eyes, his blue orbs staying on her.

 

Namine exhaled shakily, the tears still flowing. Everything that happened, it just affected her so much. And though she didn't believe Smith's lies anymore, she felt guilt from believing them before. And because of Roxas' silence, she didn't know if he forgave her or not. She had a feeling he did, but she wasn't sure, so she continued speaking. "E-Everything just happened so suddenly," Namine said through her tears, her voice holding a slight tremble because of sadness and fear. "I didn't mean to give in to his lies--It just happened." Namine pulled herself closer to him, letting her cheek rest against Roxas' chest as she kept herself close to him. "Please forgive me," she whispered, tears continuing to flow from her closed eyes.

 

Roxas's arm instinctively wrapped around Namine's form, his hand on her lower back moving so he had his other arm wrapped around her too. He held her close as they stood there, Namine's words hanging in the air. He exhaled a breath as he closed his eyes, lowering his head slightly. His eyelids reopened, his azure eyes falling on Namine's blonde hair as he looked down at her. His hold around the girl tightened slightly. "You're forgiven," he whispered gently to the girl, his eyes on her blonde head.

 

Namine heard Roxas' words, and they immediatly impacted her heart. He was so forgiving...so loving and gentle. She didn't know how she could ever repay him for loving her. His love meant everything to her; it was what she lived on every day. And if she had lost that, well, she couldn't go on. And that thought frightened her, almost as much as she had been frightened by Smith. "I was just....so scared," Namine said shakily, the girl turning her head halfway through the sentence and burrying her head in Roxas' chest, making the last words sound muffled. Smith took advantage of her vulnerable state, and his words had been so cutting, so cruel and brutilizing.

 

Namine's words impacted Roxas's heart, causing it to leap in his chest. From what...he wasn't really sure. It definitely wasn't good, that was for sure. His hold tightened around her. "I know..." he said softly. He was scared as well, very much so. But it probably wasn't as much as she was; by the looks of things, she had gone through something life changing, and Roxas wasn't really sure how to take that.

 

Namine swallowed again, her tears starting to slow down as she calmed down. She turned her head again, her cheek resting lightly on Roxas' chest. After a few moments, she spoke again, needing to get this off her chest. "I shouldn't have doubt you, Roxas," Namine said in a soft voice, the words coming out in close to a whisper. "I'm sorry. I won't do it ever again."

 

Roxas's eyes stayed on Namine, looking down at her form against his. He blinked once, his azure eyes staying on her. "I know you won't, Namine," he said softly, and he really didn't think she would; he knew she would stay true to her word. But...stuff like this was hard to really get over. It hit him hard, and he wasn't really sure when he would get over it. Roxas did know that he was going to stay faithful to Namine; he would fight for her if she didn't fight against fate, and he was going to keep that promise.

 

Namine sniffled again, pulling herself closer to Roxas without thought. There was something in his voice that made her go silent, and it took a brief moment for her to figure out what it was: it was hurt. She had hurt Roxas with her words, which she had only said because she was hurt. And in a way, she still was hurt. Yesterday had been a tragedy, and it was going to take a while for her to get over it. She hoped the recovery wouldn't take too long...for either of them.

 

Roxas's hold on Namine tightened automatically, a reaction to when she pulled herself closer to him. He blinked, his gaze staying fixed on her. The room was silent, but he wasn't sure it was necessarily uncomfortable. He didn't know what to call it, really; it was just...silence, nothing more to it. He had enough thoughts running through his mind anyway, a few too many to actually comprehend.
