Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

Namine felt the presence around her hand tighten, that gentleness returning for a brief moment. It called her out of the darkness slightly. Though the aura around her was still heavy, the other presence was somehow calling to her, letting her know that she wasn't alone. And in a way, it was comforting.

 

Roxas bit his slightly quivering lip, tears falling down his face. He knew he needed to be strong...for Namine, and himself. But now, it felt like that would he pointless. He was already broken down, crying--something he hardly did.

 

Namine exhaled silently in her sleep, coming out of her deep slumber. The gentleness was calling out to her, telling her it was time to wake up. In her unconcious state, she moved her hand slightly, lightly holding the hand that was holding hers before.

 

Roxas felt a difference in the grip he had on Namine's hand, as if she were holding his hand as well. He lifted his head, his arm damp with the tears that had left his eyes, his cheeks the same. His eyes fell on Namine's hand, seeing that his suspicion had been true.

 

Namine kept that hand in hers, because that's what it was, a hand. It was because of that hand's presence that she was waking up now, some of the sorrow parting. She was grateful that she wasn't alone here, fighting this battle alone.

 

Roxas blinked once, his vision turning blurry for a second. He blinked again, this time having the tears that fogged his vision fall down his cheeks, just like the others. Right now, he felt weak...like a wimp.

 

Namine gently squeezed the hand that had been so kind to her, the girl coming out of her slumber a little bit more. She turned her head slightly on the pillow, facing in the direction of the living room without thought.

 

Roxas took in a breath at the small gesture, and he turned his head to see Namine's face, her eyes still closed. Without thought, he returned it, gently squeezing her hand back.

 

Namine inhaled softly before releasing it, that simple gesture reaching out to her. She really wasn't alone here, and she was glad for that. Being alone was miserable, and she didn't handle being by herself too well most of the time. No, she always wanted somebody nearby, somebody she could trust.

 

Roxas sniffled once and then reached up, running his arm over his eyes as he tried to get rid of the tears. His eyes were probably a little red from his crying, but there wasn't much he could do about that.

 

Namine nestled her head into the pillow slightly, coming out of her slumber completely. Her eyes opened partway, the girl shutting them almost immediatly because the sun was shining on her. She hesitantly opened her eyes again, getting them open halfway when she noticed the boy in front of her, holding her hand. The blonde boy she had grown so familiar to seeing, and the one who she burdened daily. Roxas.

 

Roxas blinked a few times to be sure the tears were gone, and when his eyes produced no more tears, he flitted them to the girl in front of him. His blue eyes that were surrounded by a little redness from crying suddenly met hers.

 

At first glance, Namine noticed a different appearance in Roxas' eyes; they were bright blue, as they always were, but now they were surrounded by redness. Namine's eyes softened slightly; it didn't take a genious to see that he had been crying.

 

Roxas noticed the difference in Namine's eyes and silently lowered his gaze to his lap, sniffling quietly without thought. Well, that there just gave away what Namine was probably already guessing. He bit his lip slightly, still holding her hand.

 

Namine bit her lip lightly, lowering her gaze as well. She studied the pattern on the couch, though her thoughts were somewhere else entirely.

 

Roxas nibbled on his lower lip for a second, starting to run his thumb along Namine's hand without thought. After a moment, his teeth left his lip and he blinked, his eyes stinging slightly after his crying moment.

Namine felt Roxas' thumb start stroking her hand, and it was soft; the same as she had felt tons of times before. But today, the feeling that resulted from it was different. She felt sad; sad that she was putting him through this. He didn't deserve it...any of it.

OOC: Okay, bye!

 

Roxas took in a breath through his mouth, not wanting to sniffle again. As he did so, he brought up his arm again and ran it over his eyes to be sure he had all the tears gone. He knew that Namine already probably noticed that he had been crying, but that didn't mean he couldn't try and cover it up.

 

Namine shut her eyes in sadness, the girl silently releasing a breath. The air around her and Roxas was so heavy with sorrow, even more than Namine had felt the previous night. Roxas really did seem deeply saddened by everything, but Namine didn't trust her heart now. Smith had spoken the truth, and it only seemed logical that Roxas didn't love her anymore. The thoughts of her mind and the feelings of her heart were opposites, and it troubled Namine to feel so confused, lost, and broken.

 

Roxas let his arm rest against the couch again, lifting his gaze to that spot for a moment as he exhaled a breath and then sniffled. "Um..." he started slowly, looking at the couch for a minute. He felt kind of awkward, since Namine had seen him crying. Roxas knew he shouldn't feel that way, though, because he and Namine loved each other, and had a very open relationship. His blue eyes flitted up to his hand in hers, his thumb stroking her skin still. "...How are you feeling?" Roxas asked, that being the first thing that came to mind. Plus, he was really concerned about her condition, after his nightmare and last night in general.
