Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

Namine bit her lip lightly, unsure of how to get on. She really didn't want to hurt Roxas. But maybe it was better to just get on and get it over with. She took a step forward, wrapping her arms lightly around Roxas before she made a small, light hop.

 

Roxas squeezed his eyes shut at a pain in his back, feeling it when Namine got on. But it wasn't as strong as the pain that had been in his shoulder. The boy opened his eyes, gripping Namine's legs securely as he held her on his back.

 

Namine wrapped her arms around Roxas a little more, though they were still kind of loose. She grabbed her wrist with her right hand, her arms lightly around the boy who held her.

Roxas took in a soft breath as he turned around halfway, turning his head to his left to look at his two other friends. "Ready when you are," he said softly, hiding any pain he felt inside.

Kairi nodded faintly, her hands at her sides as she looked at her two blond friends. She was ready to go home...and leave this place behind.

OOC: Yup, sure did. =/

 

Sora nodded faintly in response, meeting Roxas' eyes. Sora set one hand lightly on Kairi's back before pulling it back down to his side, staring toward the first door that would lead them to the exit.

Namine exhaled silently, glad to hear that they were finally leaving. And this time, she was sure they weren't coming back.

OOC: Time gap time?

 

Roxas nodded once and then turned in the opposite direction, starting down the hallway to leave this place behind. He was never coming back, and he was sure his friends were thinking the same.

Kairi looked over at Sora for a moment, having felt his hand on her back a second ago. She then followed Roxas's lead, starting to walk and leave the horrible memories of this warehouse behind.

Sora walked in the front of the group, followed by Roxas and Namine, and then Kairi at the rear. He wasn't purposely distancing himself from her; it just happened naturally.

Namine shut her eyes partway, turning her gaze forward again. Finally. Finally, they were going to leave this place.

 

OOC: ...Time gap time. 8D

Roxas's eyebrows were furrowed as he slept, sweat threatening to trickle down his face from his forehead. He was lying on his side, the side of his head pressed against the pillow as sheets covered his form. Even in his state of sleep, his expression held discomfort...extreme discomfort. The boy exhaled a heavy breath through his nose as his eyebrows furrowed a little more over his closed eyes, a nightmare haunting his mind.

After everything, Kairi didn't really have trouble falling asleep. She was back in the guest bedroom of Sora's house, in the bed and sleeping as morning sunshine poured through the windows. Regardless, she was still resting...and surprisingly in peace, despite the emotions that were in her heart.

 

Namine exhaled softly in her sleep, the girl resting on Roxas' couch. Despite the fact that the sun shone into the living room, she slept soundly, unaware of anything around her. Though she did feel sad, she wasn't specifically having a nightmare. Instead, Smith's words haunted her, repeating in her mind.

Sora rolled over in his sleep, slightly uncomfortable because of his wounds. After changing position, he exhaled in the form of a sigh, falling deeper into his slumber once again. He had brought Kairi back to his house after everything, despite what happened. And now they were both asleep. Well, he was, anyway.

 

Roxas lied on his left side, unconciously still aware of the injury to his right shoulder. His right hand was by his face on the pillow as he slept, experiencing a nightmare.

"Smith, no! Let her go!" Roxas cried in anger, running forward from the doorway. But something blocked him, the boy running into a barrier of some sort. His eyes widened in surprise, and he looked out in front of him, his eyes falling on Smith with undeniable hatred.

The man chuckled. "Well, what do you know? The Nobody returns." He suddenly smirked. "This reminds me of a day not that long ago... Remember this, Roxas?" He suddenly whipped a blonde-headed girl around, clutching her wrists in one of his hands as he jerked her forward, a cry escaping her lips.

"No!" Roxas hollered, his eyes revealing his extreme worry and fear as he looked at the girl on the other side of the invisible barrier, her sky-blue eyes meeting his, reflecting sadness. "Namine!"

 

Namine continued to sleep, despite her troubled heart. She wished could escape reality by sleeping, but unfortunatly, it was the opposite. Everything was haunting her, and there was no escape....no matter what.

 

Roxas let out a sound behind his closed lips in his sleep, the noise reflecting fear, hatred, and worry at the same time.

Roxas stared helplessly at the man across from him, who held the girl he loved within his grasp. He pounded on the invisible barrier that kept him from her, his eyes wide in fear as he looked at her. "Namine!" he cried.

"Roxas!" Her yell reached his ears from behind the barrier, and he immediately noticed the fearful tone it held. The boy watched as Namine was suddenly whirled around, her back facing Roxas as Smith only glared at him. That same, evil smirk was on his face, and Roxas was starting to grow angry by just seeing it.

Roxas suddenly clutched the pillow case, his fist tightening around it as his nightmare went on. A small bead of sweat gradually trickled down from his forehead as his teeth clenched.

 

Smith had said she was unlovable, too much of a burden for anyone to care about. And Namine believed it was true, since she was always getting into trouble. Smith had taken her before, then Jeff, then Brian...and then Smith again. Thinking about it now, she was surprised that Roxas was still sticking around. She definitly wasn't worth it.

 

Roxas watched Smith suddenly throw Namine to the floor, a cry leaving the girl's lips as she landed on the cold, hard ground, Roxas powerless to stop Smith. His eyes were wide as his hands were against the barrier, unable to break the boundary.

"No!" he suddenly cried, just before Smith leaned down and smacked Namine across the face. "Stop!" He pounded the barrier with all his might, but it didn't budge.

Roxas suddenly heard Namine's yelp in fear, and his pounding stopped abruptly. His eyes were glued to the girl as she held a hand to her cheek, her eyes squeezed shut in pain. Roxas's orbs flitted to Smith nearby, seeing his evil eyes hungry for more hurt and pain.

"Smith, stop!" Roxas screamed, that familiar rage burning through his veins. Smith only smirked and chuckled, and Roxas summoned Oblivion to his hand without thought. He took the hilt in both hands and started hitting Oblivion against the barrier, but only loud clashing noises came from it, the barrier unbreakable.

Roxas's eyebrows were furrowed over his closed eyes, his expression reflecting his emotions in his nightmare. The bead of sweat started to slowly trickle down his temple as his grip on his pillow case tightened.

 

Roxas may used to love her, when she wasn't a burden. But now, she was far more trouble than she was worth. Though Roxas was a great guy, and she did love him, she found it hard to believe that he could lover her back. After all, she had nothing to offer him, did she? No. No, she didn't.

 

Roxas let out what sounded like a whimper as he slept, fear overtaking him as the nightmare continued.

"Roxas!" Namine cried, fear thick in her voice. She was calling for him, needing him to save her...

But he could only watch, the invisible barrier setting a boundary between them; a boundary Roxas could not take, or break down.

"Namine!" he cried helplessly, sorrow evident in his voice as he could do nothing but observe Smith's cruelty. Her scream suddenly entered his eyes as he gasped, having just witnessed Smith kick her...the same way Brian had kicked her. Roxas's lips parted in sadness and disbelief, his eyes reflecting that same emotion as he just stood there...being tortured by having to watch this abuse.

 

Namine didn't deserve Roxas' love. He was the most caring, unselfish person she had ever met. He must have stayed with her because he pitied her, not wanting to break her heart. That was the only reason she could think of, since she was absolutely worthless to him.

 

Roxas tried swinging Oblivion at the barrier again, but angry tears started to form in his eyes as the effort was pointless. The tears filled to the rims of his eyes as he heavily breathed, having used so much strength to try and break that restriction that prevented him from rescuing Namine. His eyes were glued to the floor as her cries in pain entered his ears, causing him to squeeze his eyes shut and the tears almost escape his eyes.

But he could do nothing... Absolutely nothing to save her from Smith. He was stuck having to hear and watch Namine be abused, torturing him in the process. No...this couldn't be... Roxas looked up, seeing Namine lying on the floor, her nose bleeding from Smith's force. Her sad blue eyes met his, and he suddenly fell to his knees in weakness. Roxas dropped Oblivion onto the floor, putting his hands against the invisible wall again.

"I'm sorry..." he said with a sorrow-filled voice, a tear threatening to leave his eye. "...I'm so sorry." He blinked, and that did it---the tear left his eye, which only made others follow. Her cry of pain suddenly entered his ears again, one that resembled agony---

Roxas gasped as he suddenly shot up in his bed. His bright blue eyes were wide, darting around the room as his breathing was heavy. Beads of sweat trickled down the side of his face, a few of his spikes sticking to his forehead and the back of his neck.

 

Namine exhaled silently, still asleep. She rolled over onto her back, her hand lightly on her stomach. She wasn't in pain there or anything; it was just a natural position that she sometimes slept in. At least things weren't completely out of whack because of what happened, though Namine couldn't recognize that in her broken state.

 

Roxas sighed heavily, finally realizing that it was all just a nightmare...but it had seemed too real. The boy brought a hand to his forehead as he closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down. Even though his body was aching from the sudden jolt, he ignored it, his mind wrapped more around the dream than his injuries.
