Namine blinked once more, opening her eyes a bit more. She saw Roxas' ocean blue eyes resting on her, concern in their depths. But Namine was too tired to really take in anything other than that.

 

Roxas blinked once as he looked into Namine's eyes, exhaustion being the one of the strongest emotions in their sky-blue depths. He saw other emotions, which made his eyes soften; misery, sorrow, discomfort... Roxas exhaled a breath as he lowered his gaze for a second, then lifting his eyes back to meet hers. He took in a silent breath as he gazed at her, wanting to make all those emotions inside her go away.

 

Namine noticed a change in appearance in Roxas' eyes, a softening in them. That made hers soften in return, and despite her groggy state, she knew that Roxas had looked into the depths of her eyes and seen the emotions she felt in her heart.

 

Roxas kept his gentle gaze on Namine, noticing her eyes soften slightly as well. He looked at her for one more moment in silence before he spoke. "We're going home," he told her softly, a little relieved at even his own words.

 

Namine blinked once, taking in Roxas' words. Home. She wasn't sure which home he was referring to, but she didn't really care. She just wanted to get away from this place, and she was relieved to hear that they were leaving.

 

Roxas gazed at the blonde girl within his arms for one more brief moment before he lowered his gaze slightly, shifting his feet under him so he could get ready to lift her. His hold around her tightened some and then he started pushing up with his legs. But as he did so, even Namine's light weight put strain on his shoulder, and Roxas sucked in a breath and closed his eyes as the pain rang out.

 

Namine's eyes opened fully when she saw him close his eyes. She figured that he was in pain, and her eyes softened in concern. "You don't have to carry me," she said softly, her tired eyes staying on Roxas.

 

Roxas was standing upright by this point, and still had his eyes closed as Namine spoke. He exhaled slowly and silently as he opened his eyes, trying to ignore the nagging ache in his shoulder as he held her. He took in her words, and only looked at her. He wanted to carry her; he wanted to hold her close. After everything that just took place, he didn't want to be anywhere except next to Namine.

Kairi looked up at her friends, her eyes reflecting her concern and care for them. After a second, she realized that she needed to get up as well. Kairi looked down at the concrete floor as she put a hand against the cold ground and used it to help her push herself up.

 

Namine felt her eyes soften slightly at Roxas' expression, her eyes staying on him. "I don't want you hurting yourself because of me," she said softly, her sky blue eyes gazing up at him. Though she did want to be close to him, she definitly didn't want to be the cause of another injury. It was bad enough Roxas had fought Smith for her.

 

Roxas looked at her in silence, though his eyes were showing his understanding. "Why don't you get on my back then?" he suggested gently. She was still exhausted, and he knew that the long walk home wouldn't go over well if she was so tired. And if she got on his back, that pain in his shoulder wouldn't be as sharp, and it would be easier for him as well.

Kairi stood herself up straight, her eyes flitting back up to her friends at their small conversation.

 

Namine held Roxas' gaze for a moment, taking in what he said. "Are you sure?" she asked softly. She didn't want to be a burden or anything.

 

Roxas nodded, silently answering her question. It really would be an easier way, and he got to have Namine closeby as well. And that was what he wanted.

 

Namine held Roxas' gaze, seeing his faint nod. She was glad in a way; she did want to be close to him. But at the same time, she really didn't want to be any trouble. However, she was too tired to argue.

 

Roxas offered Namine a weak smile, noticing a little hesitation in her. Regardless, he started to set her down, beginning to lower her feet to the floor while his left arm was still wrapped around her back.

 

Namine lowered her gaze when she felt Roxas moving her feet toward the ground, her tired eyes catching onto the movement without thought.

 

When Namine's feet touched the ground, Roxas let his right arm travel back to his side. His left hand moved from her side to her back, resting there lightly for the moment as he looked down at the exhausted girl in front of him.

 

Namine felt Roxas' hand lightly rest on her back and she turned slightly, lifting her gaze from the floor up to Roxas. She immedialy met his ocean blue eyes, her sky blue connecting with is orbs.

 

Roxas met Namine's eyes, his bright blue orbs locking with her gentle sky-blue. He nodded at her once, his weak smile still on his lips. His hand slid off her back slowly as he looked down at her, ready to take her out of this place.

 

Namine noticed Roxas' weak smile, and a very faint one appeared on her lips as well. She knew he was trying to be comforting, but right now, the best thing that could happen was leaving this place.

 

Roxas looked at Namine for one more moment before he turned around, his smile disappearing as he bent down slightly and put his arms behind him and out a little. He was ready for her to get on his back when she was, and then they could finally get out of here.
