Sora looked at Roxas for a moment, even after his blond friend had looked away. "Let's get out of here," he said softly. This place didn't have any fond memories to it, so he knew it was best to leave...before anything else happened.

 

Roxas' eyes flicked back to Sora after he spoke. He nodded once in agreement. "Right," he said quietly. He was ready to leave...and never come back.

 

Sora nodded once before starting toward the door slowly, unable to move too quickly because of the pain he was in. That last blow really hurt, but he knew that it couldn't be helped; Smith was a strong man, and when he hit you, he hit hard. Well, at least that was never going to happen again.

 

Roxas drew in a breath, preparing for the pain that would surely grow stronger as he walked. He followed Sora, his feet carrying him somewhat slowly. He was exhausted, and in pain. He couldn't wait to get home.

 

Sora exhaled heavily, though the breath came out silently. He just wanted to go home now; he was exhausted both physically and mentally. Despite the fact that the day had just started, he only wanted it to end.

 

Roxas lowered his gaze to the floor tiredly, his eyes closing halfway in weakness. The pain inside him was escalating, but he tried to hide the discomfort to the best of his ability. He just wanted to be with Namine and go home, even if he would be wasting daylight by most likely sleeping.

Kairi took in a silent breath as she leaned her back against the wall, sitting on the cold concrete floor. Namine's head was still against her shoulder, but she didn't mind; her friend was exhausted, and so was she. The silence that surrounded her only made her wonder if the battle was over, and want to know who was the victor.

 

Sora exhaled softly as he forced himself to walk more normally, trying not to show the pain he felt. He didn't want the girls to be worried; he had enough stress at that moment, and he definitly didn't need any more. He lifted his head, exiting the room and entering the hallway, where he immediatly noticed the two girls.

Namine inhaled silently, in a state of slumber as she sat in the cold warehouse. She wasn't affected by that as much as the cold feeling in her heart though. The memories of the past few hours haunted her in her sleep, making her feel very broken inside.

 

Roxas caught sight of the broken doorway out of the corner of his eye, and he lifted his gaze as he drew in a breath, exiting the room and following Sora into the hallway.

Kairi lifted her head slightly when she saw two shadows out of the corner of her eye, her gaze darting up to find the two boys she had been hoping to see. She silently exhaled in relief; they were the winners of this battle, which was sure to never take place again.

 

Sora caught Kairi's gaze and he smiled weakly, seeing relief in her features. He tried to ignore the feelings in his heart, knowing that he was too exhausted to think clearly about them at the moment.

Namine kept her head lightly on Kairi's shoulder, unaware that there were two other people in the hallway with them.

 

The corners of Kairi's lips turned up slightly, a faint smile appearing on her lips. Her eyes stayed on Sora for a second, grateful that he was alive, before they flitted over to the blond approaching behind the brunette. His eyes lifted to meet hers, and with her weak smile on her lips, she offered it to him, and got a frail one in return.

Roxas's eyes left Kairi's, immediately catching onto the blonde girl against his friend's shoulder. His smile faded, but not that much, since there wasn't much of a smile to begin with. He exhaled silently, but suddenly got a pang of hurt sent through his body. Roxas bit his lip, trying to hold back any sound or sign of pain that wanted to show. His bright blue eyes were glued to Namine, noticing she was asleep.

 

Sora stopped over by Kairi, standing closeby as he looked over at Namine. Poor girl; she had been through a lot of stress and trauma in the past few hours. He only hoped that she was escaping reality now in her sleep.

Namine continued to sleep, the girl not aware that she was being looked at. If even she did know, it was highly unlikely that she would care, since she was too broken inside to care about anything so small and unimportant.

 

The surge of pain subsided inside Roxas, and his teeth left his lip as he silently made his way over to Namine, his hands in loose fists as he prepared for any pain that may appear unexpectedly. He kept his eyes on her as he approached her sleeping form, the boy stopping right next to her. Roxas winced slightly as he knelt down on one knee, pressing his lips together as he fought off the pain.

Kairi's smile was gone, the girl watching Roxas as he reached Namine. Her eyes flitted down to her friend against her shoulder before they went back up to Roxas, the boy kneeling down beside Namine.

 

Sora kept his eyes on the two blondes, wondering what Roxas was thinking at that moment. He stayed silent, watching what was going on with his friends.

Namine exhaled silently in her sleep. Though she was slightly aware that the area around her was now quiet, she was too out of it to take in what this meant.

 

Roxas exhaled quietly and then inhaled again as the aches throughout his body went away. He rested his right arm on his right leg, kneeling against his left knee. His piercing blue orbs traveled over Namine's form, taking in her posture and her features. The sharpness of his eyes suddenly softened as he looked at her, noticing that she was exhausted...and just by her facial features he could tell she was broken. Roxas lowered his head to look at the ground as he shook his head slowly in shame.

 

Namine felt heaviness surrounding her in the air around her, but she wasn't sure why that was. Was it her own brokenness, or something else? Or perhaps it was a combination of the two; she couldn't tell in her unconcious state.

 

Roxas stared at the concrete floor, exhaling through his mouth. How could he have let it come to this? To Namine becoming so...damaged? He closed his eyes for a minute as he let the silence continue to surround him. It was unacceptable...how this turned out. Especially for Namine.

 

Namine kept her head lightly against Kairi's shoulder, unaware that the boy she loved was kneeling by her side. All that she really felt was misery and sadness, and despite the fact that she was asleep, she knew that those feelings showed through her facial expression.

 

Roxas lifted his head, his gaze immediately falling on Namine again. He read her expression, which caused him to bite his lip. Gosh, what had Smith done to her? What did he say or do to affect Namine so much? She was asleep, and even then misery and sorrow was written on her features. Roxas's eyebrow furrowed ever so slightly in sadness as he gazed at the girl he loved. I'm so sorry... he thought. He wasn't only sorry to Namine...but to Sora and Kairi too. They went through a lot tonight as well, and Roxas felt he was to blame for that.

 

Namine inhaled silently before releasing the breath, staying in her state of slumber in the cold, uncomfortable warehouse.

 

Kairi's concerned eyes watched Roxas for a moment before she flitted them up to Sora who was standing closeby. He was watching Roxas as well, and so she let her head turn to look at the blond boy again. He looked pretty upset, and Kairi wasn't sure what he was thinking.

Roxas reached his left hand forward in silence and gently swept a few strands of Namine's hair away from the side of her face, lightly brushing them back so they rested just beside her ear.
