Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

Sora's eyes wandered from Roxas to Oathkeeper, which was right by him. By the look in Roxas' eyes, Sora could understand what his friend was thinking of doing. Teamwork; that's how they were going to finish this. He nodded faintly and lifted a hand, setting it on the hilt of the Keyblade.

 

Roxas felt Sora's hand touch his against Oathkeeper, and knew then that this was over. The Keyblade pointing at Smith, Roxas glared at the man as the tip of the weapon began to glow with a white light, Roxas and Sora's powers merging together.

 

Sora shifted his gaze to Smith, the teen feeling a surge of power run through him. The battle was finally going to end...this time it was a sure fact.

Smith looked at the boys in surprise, unsure of what to expect from this new threat.

 

Roxas focused on the single Keyblade in his hand, the white light on its tip growing with every passing second as Sora's and Roxas' powers combined. Reaching its peak, the light shot out of Oathkeeper, heading straight for Smith ahead of both of the boys.

 

Smith's eyes widened in shock and he let out a long cry, the light piercing through him. The light...it was too powerful for him to stand.

Sora kept his hand on the Keyblade, hearing Smith's cry enter his ears. This only made him feel more determined to end this, and that was just what he and Roxas were doing.

 

Roxas' eyebrows furrowed even more at the cry, knowing that this was what was going to end Smith for good this time around. He focused the negative energy inside him--the anger, hurt, frustration...all of it--into the Keyblade, which continued to shoot light out of its tip and through Smith's form.

 

Sora felt new emotions in his heart, and he knew that it was because he was connected to Roxas at that moment. He felt the emotions himself, taking them upon himself as well. Roxas was like a brother to him; how could he not feel anger for his best friend's sake? The light continued to stream out of the Keyblade.

Smith felt the light continue to pierce through him, the pain too extreme for him to bear. So...it was really over...

 

Roxas only watched as Smith squirmed under the strong source of light. That only proved he was someone from the darkness, and that was exactly where he belonged...in Oblivion.

 

Smith felt himself fading away, his body fading into the darkness until it disapeared completely, the man wiped out of existance.

Sora saw Smith disapear and he let his strength fade, the light from the Keyblade fading as well. The job was done.

 

Roxas exhaled through his nose, a heavy weight now being lifted off his shoulders. Smith was gone, and no matter what, he wouldn't come back. He wasn't going to abuse Namine anymore...physically nor emotionally, or try to capture Kairi...; he wasn't going to cause Sora pain ever again, and the man wasn't going to put Roxas over the edge, or cause that rage and pain to turn up once more. Smith was dead.

 

Sora exhaled silently, bringing his hand off Oathkeeper. It was finally finished; they'd never have to worry about going through this again...ever. He set one hand on the ground, starting to push himself up to his feet.

 

Roxas let Oathkeeper go limp at his side, summoning back Oblivion in the process. He closed his eyes, feeling that anger starting to melt away...the rage disappearing. It was over.

 

Sora felt the pain shoot through his body again, and he shut his eyes as he stood himself up, fully upright. He had really taken a beating, but he would recover soon enough.

 

Roxas opened his eyes, lifting his two Keyblades slightly as he looked down at them. Oathkeeper and Oblivion--both very powerful, full of destruction. But they were also symbols of protection, safety...the weapons of a guardian. Roxas looked at the Keyblades for a brief moment longer before summoning them away. Their job was done...for now; he didn't need them for a while. This battle was over.

 

Sora silently summoned his weapon away, remembering that it was on the floor beside him. He opened his eyes, his gaze immediatly falling on the doorway. Kairi and Namine were both out there, waiting for them.

Namine sat against the wall outside the room, her head lightly against Kairi's shoulder. Her eyes were shut, and her even was breathing, the girl asleep. Because of all the stress and tension she had been under, she had decided to rest her eyes, just to try and satisfy her need for sleep. But in the end, she had ended up falling into a state of slumber.

 

Roxas lifted his eyes to gaze ahead of him for a moment before he turned his head slightly, looking at the boy beside him. Sora's gaze was fixated on something else, and Roxas followed his gaze, his sight falling on broken-down doorway. He exhaled, knowing who was waiting for him outside this room. Roxas blinked once before turning his head again, looking back at Sora as his body ached with pain.

Kairi sat on the floor, her back against the wall. Her head was lowered, the girl gnawing on her lip as Namine's head rested against her shoulder. She stared blankly at her jean-covered legs, still affected by all the noises she had just heard from the battle. But now...it was silence.

 

Sora felt a gaze on him and he turned his head, seeing Roxas' piercing blue eyes on him. He looked at his friend with slight curiosity, wondering what he was thinking at that moment.

 

Roxas only nodded once at Sora, silently thanking him for his help. It was teamwork that defeated Smith, and it wouldn't have happened if they didn't work together.

 

Sora understood what Roxas was saying through the silence, and Sora nodded once in response. He had to thank Roxas too; he had saved his life earlier that night, and he had kept his promise to protect Kairi. Sora had a lot to be grateful for.

His body aching in pain, Roxas held Sora's gaze for a brief moment. Sora had almost died for Namine, and he didn't know how he could repay him for that. And not only that, but Sora took his place while he was unconcious too. Roxas knew that he had a true friend by his side, even if they did have a strong disagreement earlier. The blond boy exhaled through his nose as he let his gaze fall on the door again, wincing a little as the adrenaline started to wear off and the pain started taking effect. First thing first, it was time to leave this horrid place and never come back.
