Smith's eyes widened slightly as he brought up his blades, preparing himself for a hard blow. Roxas was infuriated now, as he expected. This was the end for him, and there was nothing he could do to change that.

Sora stayed in that position, unable to move because of the pain that rang out in his body. His head was pounding, his stomach was sore from that last hit and many others...if felt as if he were going to die. But he knew that he wasn't going to die; he had too much to live for.

 

A dark cry came from within Roxas and left his lips as he swung Oblivion at Smith. Metal clashed loudly, but the blond didn't let that stop him; he brought his left arm forward, swinging Oathkeeper at Smith with all his might.

 

Smith grunted, feeling Roxas' one Keyblade come in contact with his sword. He shut his eyes, figuring that more pain was on the way.

Sora shut his eyes for just a moment, trying to regain his strength. Though he had already used up everything he had during the battles, he knew he had to find even more strength to go on; the day wasn't over yet. And he wasn't about to fail his friends...not again.

 

Swinging Oathkeeper with all his might, Roxas struck the blade against Smith's form, his eyes locked on the man. He was done playing games; Roxas wasn't dealing with anymore of this pain...emotional torture...physical torment... He was done.

 

Smith shut his eyes more tightly, feeling Roxas' Keyblade impact him even harder than the other times it had within that fight. He supposed that was what made him so much stronger. Now if only he could feel more rage...no, he was too satisfied with the work he had already done.

Sora inhaled silently before releasing it, pain shooting through his entire body. That last blow had been his worst of the night, and now that he was done, all the other wounds and hurt were coming back into his senses. The pain was terrible, and he felt a desire to drift out of conciousness to be free of the pain for a little while. But he knew he couldn't let himself do that; what if he didn't wake up again...?

 

Roxas put his strength into Oblivion, which was still against Smith's blade. He pushed against it, bringing back Oathkeeper.

 

Smith felt his strength fading, and he knew that he was dying. But even in death, he let out a small chuckle, silently daring Roxas to ask him what was funny.

Sora moved one hand underneath him again, and then the other as he prepared to push himself up. He couldn't lay down any longer, even though he wasn't fully recovered from the blow. Roxas probably needed help....

 

Roxas brought up Oathkeeper, pressing it against Smith's blade as well. He growled in anger at the man's chuckle, that only making him angrier. "Something funny?" he asked in an enraged tone, his teeth clamping together in frustration.

 

Smith opened his eyes, looking at Roxas' as a faint smirk appeared on his face. "I've still won," he coughed out, his glare staying on Roxas. "...Revenge...it's so very, very sweet." He thought to Namine, who he had effectively broken down through the course of the night.

Sora heard Smith's words and he worked a little harder, slowly pushing himself up in fierce determination.

 

Roxas' eyebrows furrowed even more in slight confusion over his blue eyes, which glared angrily back into Smith's amber orbs. He understood this whole thing was for revenge...but what part of it was "very sweet"? Roxas kept his hold on the force against Smith's blade, keeping that pressure at the same level.

 

Sora pushed himself up a bit more, almost to his knees now. Just a little more time...

Smith chuckled softly again, keeping Roxas' blades away from him the best he could. "Broken beyond repair, I'd say," he comment smuggly, pride coming through in his voice as he referred to Namine. He was sure Roxas understood. If he didn't, then the kid was even dumber than he thought.

 

Roxas squeezed his eyes shut for a short second in realization of what Smith was talking about. The person he had seen so torn and broken when he had shown up...her eyes pleading and full of sorrow...

 

Smith chuckled darkly, suddenly pressing against Roxas with all his might. He pushed the kid back while he was distracted with his gunblade.

 

Roxas' eyes flashed open when he felt himself get pushed away. He had gotten distracted, something Smith had probably planned on having happen to him. He stumbled back a few steps from the forceful push, trying to catch his footing.

 

Smith held Roxas' glare as he pushed himself off the wall, walking forward a few steps. At least his revenge was complete; now he could let Roxas kill him.

 

Roxas took a few steps back, gripping his Keyblades tightly as he stood his ground and glared at Smith. What he had said...about revenge...and "broken beyond repair"... Roxas squeezed his eyes shut as the mental picture of Namine's broken form suddenly appeared in his mind, causing a different kind of ache inside him. Roxas let out a sound of fury suddenly, the sound echoing through the room. Smith was going to pay for everything he had done to her. Everything.

 

Sora sat himself up on his knees, seeing Roxas standing closeby. He shift his gaze to Smith, seeing a smug, prideful look on his face. It made Sora feel enraged, and he could only imagine what Roxas was thinking at that moment.

Smith glared at Roxas, a satisfied look on his face.

 

Roxas' eyes flashed open, a fiery wrath inside the piercing blue depths of his orbs. "You're finished," he said darkly, before he suddenly flung Oblivion at Smith, a grunt leaving him. As the Keyblade twirled through the air toward the man, Roxas whirled, racing back toward Sora who was close by.

 

Smith's eyes widened and a cry left him when he felt Roxas' Keyblade impact him. He took a step back, trying to regain his balance as he lowered his weapon.

Sora's eyes moved from Smith to Roxas, the brunette slightly surprised to see his friend racing toward him. He pushed himself up slightly, on one knee as he looked at the blonde teen.

 

Roxas heard the cry, and that only motivated him to move faster toward Sora. In less than a few seconds, he skidded to a halt by Sora's side, Oathkeeper still in his grasp. It was time to get rid of Smith...for good this time.
