Kingdom Hearts- FFM V3!

Smith turned to face Namine, though she wasn't looking at him. He chuckled softly, her brokenness making him feel giddy. That was his victory, even if everything else didn't work out. But it would. He vanished using his dark power, and reappeared in room closer to the edge of the building, and he immediatly noticed a redhead girl. But she obviously did not notice him. Staying silent, he crept forward...

"Kairi, run forward!" Sora called using his heart, the teen able to see from his position what was going on. She was in danger, and he had to react quickly to save her from this man...before he got close to her. "NOW!"

 

"Huh?!" Kairi cried at the voice she heard, which caused her to turn around slightly. Her eyes widened, immediately recognizing the man; Smith. Without hesitation, she followed the order given to her in her heart, running in the opposite direction as Smith and past Roxas.

Roxas turned at the cry, whirling around. He gripped Oblivion tightly in his hand, his eyes widening and then narrowing as he glared at the man opposite him, Kairi running right past the blond boy. Smith. Roxas already felt the rage beginning to rise within him just by looking at the sick, evil man.

 

Smith was surprised when Kairi suddenly ran forward. There was no possible way that she could have known he was there! But how...?

Sora gritted his teeth together as he summoned the Kingdom Key and charged forward, exiting out the same room Smith had. His blade collided with Smith and he pushed the man hard into the wall, his Keyblade staying hard against the man's chest. "You don't get near her," he said darkly, staring at the man with hatred. After what had happened earlier, with Smith trying to kill him and Namine (and almost succeeding), Sora now held a lot more hatred for him.

 

Roxas' eyes widened slightly at the new appearance, not expecting the brunet to show up at all. But...hadn't Kairi said he had failed? Roxas watched the scene in silence, and a little shock. However, the anger inside him grew slowly as he looked at Smith.

Kairi whirled at the dark voice, at the farther end of the hall. "Sora!" she hollered, her violet-blue eyes wide in both surprise, and relief. He was alive...

 

Smith's eyes were wide as he stared at the teen, unable to believe it. "You're supposed to be dead!" he shouted in anger. Nobody could have survived that gas; not even him. If he had been in the room, he would have died. But how did Sora survive?!

"Well, I guess I don't die easy," Sora said with a faint smirk, though his eyes remained serious. Whatever that gas was, it did have an effect on him, and he wasn't feeling too good at that moment. Still, that didn't matter. There was a job to do.

 

Roxas gripped Oblivion tightly, hearing the conversation. So...Smith had tried to kill Sora, huh? Well, the man should have known better; he knew very well that Roxas was tougher than he thought, having underestimated him once. Smith should have known that since Roxas was tough, that Sora was just as difficult to get rid of as he was.

Kairi watched the scene in silence. Her eyes only stayed on the brunet in the room, though, too shocked at his sudden appearance. That empty feeling she had felt before in her heart...Hadn't that been Sora...after he had failed?

 

"Roxas," Sora spoke to his friend now, though he kept his eyes on Smith. "She's in the first room on the right after you get into the next hall. She wasn't hurt when I was." After his confusing last message to Kairi, he was sure that was Roxas' top concern. He understood if Roxas wanted to get her first; Sora could handle Smith for a while.

Smith glared at Sora in anger. He would have summoned his blade if he could have, but Sora's Keyblade against his chest prevented him from moving, or taking any other possible action. He was in a bad spot now, and he couldn't deny the fact that he should have stabbed Sora to make sure he was dead. Well, it was definitly too late now.

 

Roxas' eyes furrowed a little, the boy hesitating slightly. Could Sora handle Smith on his own for a while? Roxas loosened his very tight grip on Oblivion slightly when he realized that Sora seemed to be in control of the situation for now. "Okay," he replied quickly before whirling around and sprinting down the hall, heading toward the door at the end of it as he grew closer to Kairi's position.

 

Sora nodded faintly in response to Roxas before fully focusing on Smith, his eyebrows furrowing. "You're not going to get away with any of this," Sora informed the man, his tone stern as he kept his weapon against Smith's chest. "Nobody hurts my friends and gets away with it." At the moment, he didn't care about himself. His friends were far more important to him than his own personal health.

Smith held Sora's stare with one of his own, his piercing eyes looking into the teen's angry blue orbs. He stayed silent, deciding to stay silent in an attempt to aggravate Sora. As soon as the teen was off guard, he would summon his blade and finish what he started.

Namine pulled her knees closer to her as she sat in the room by herself, the girl very alone. She had no idea where Smith had gone, but she was at least thankful she was alone. She was miserable enough by herself, and the last thing she needed was for him to make it worse.

 

Roxas continued to sprint down the hallway, running right past Kairi. He glanced over his shoulder and then skidded to a stop when she didn't follow. "Kairi! C'mon!" he cried. It wasn't safe here, not with Smith in the room.

Kairi turned her head at Roxas' plead, but then she looked back at Sora. She moved her feet toward Roxas slightly, her eyes on the boy she loved. After a few more seconds, she turned, running toward Roxas.

Roxas waited until Kairi ran past him to start running again, his eyes on the door at the end of the hallway. Namine was just ahead, and that thought only pushed him harder, his sprint accelerating. He reached the door and pushed it open quickly. Kairi ran inside, and Roxas glanced back at Sora once more before he followed the redhead in, entering the other hallway as he whipped the door shut behind him.

 

Sora was thankful that Roxas had called Kairi along with him; Sora couldn't focus on Smith and Kairi at the same time. After all, she had almost been snatched just a few moments ago, and she would have been if he hadn't reached her in time. But now that they were more in control of the situation, Sora knew that Roxas could take care of Kairi from this point on.

Smith glared at Sora for a moment longer, feeling impatient. The Keyblade wielder was tough, and he knew that he had to move before Sora started to attack. He brought his arms forward and roughtly pushed Sora off him, the tip of the blade cutting through his outer jacket.

Sora's eyes widened in surprise as he was pushed against the wall behind him, Smith in front of him. Sora gripped his blade more tightly when he saw Smith summon his, the teen feeling angered that he had been so easily pushed away. When Smith suddenly charged forward, his eyes widened even more in shock. He didn't have the strength to deflect the blow, so he dodged it instead, the dark blade barely missing him.

Namine sniffled, the noise echoing through the empty room. In her eyes, it was all over. There was no hope left now that Sora was gone...Roxas was probably going to come, but it would have been a terrible mistake. It had led Sora to his death, and now, Roxas and Kairi....they were going to be in grave danger, all because of her.

 

Roxas ran forward quickly, spotting the first door in the hallway on the right. He grabbed the knob and started to push the door open as he turned it. But his effort was useless; the door was locked. Roxas kept his hand on the knob, putting force against his shoulder as he pushed it against the door. The door still didn't budge. He tried again, but the outcome was the same, only a loud thudding noise coming from his efforts.

Kairi watched Roxas in silence, the girl's heart beating rapidly in her chest. Namine was in here...Sora was alive... The exchange never took place... Things were turning out in their favor so far.

 

Sora got himself into a battle stance as he glared at Smith, who held his stare with one of his own. This man had done so much harm in all of their lives, and now he was going to pay for it. For a few moments, they simply stared at each other, measuring their weaknesses and strengths. And then, at the same time, they both rushed forward. Their blades collided, and the fight truely began.

Namine gasped in surprise when she heard a loud thud, though the gasp wasn't too clear through the tape over her mouth. What...what was that noise? She looked at the door before lowering her head and closing her eyes, not sure if she wanted to know who or what it was. What if it was him...?

 

Roxas grit his teeth together slightly, his eyebrows furrowing as he backed up a step from the door. Still holding Oblivion in his hand, he took a small step forward as he brought up his leg, kicking at the door. It moved a little, but he kicked at it again, noticing it come loose a little more. Putting much force into the kick, he hit the same spot again with his foot, the door flying open and swinging back, hitting the wall on the inside of the room. Roxas immediately ran into the room, his Keyblade still in hand.

 

Namine flinched when she heard the loud crash, the girl not recognizing the noise. What was going on, and who caused that noise? Smith didn't have a reason to break into the room; he could portal wherever he wanted. Then, who else would have broken in? Namine hesitantly opened her eyes, lifting her head as she looked to the door. Her eyes widened when she saw him. Roxas. Her guardian angel. Oh, he looked so glorious to her! A sob of relief left her lips as she looked at him, tears filling her eyes again.

 

Roxas came to a halt as his eyes took in the room...and the person inside it. His eyes widened, hearing her sob as his eyes locked with hers. "Namine!" he cried, the boy summoning Oblivion away as he immediately ran toward her.

Kairi heard the familiar name as she followed Roxas in, the girl standing in front of the broken door as she watched the boy run over to the girl tied up in the room. It was like deja vu...but this time, it was Namine, not Kairi.

 

Namine felt the tears slide down her cheeks as she watched him approach her. Her soft blue eyes stayed on him the entire time, the girl fearing that he would disapear if she looked away. He was really there, right? She wasn't imagining things? She certainly hoped not.

 

Roxas' sprint ended as he skidded to a halt beside Namine, kneeling down right next to her. His eyes immediately took in her form, checking for any injuries. He didn't have to look for long, though, seeing a few marks on her face. His expression changed, feeling his heart break. How could he have let this happen? The boy shook away the thought as he reached for the knife nearby that was on the floor, wanting to get Namine out of her restraints as soon as possible. He moved over slightly, placing his left hand lightly on Namine's lower forearm as he started to cut through the ropes on her hands. "I'm so sorry, Namine," he said. "We're going to get you out of here, I promise."

OOC: Gotta go for the night. I probably won't be on tomorrow, since it's my birthday. So I'll most likely see you Friday! Bye!

 

Namine felt relief at Roxas' words, the girl knowing by his soft touch that he really was with her. And he wasn't hurt. She was so relieved at that fact. His promise was comforting as well, since he always kept his promises. She exhaled softly through her nose as she leaned her head back against the pole, the girl weak with relief. She closed her eyes as the tears flowed more slowly, and she started to regain her composure. Finally. Finally, it looked as if things were going okay. But wait...what about Sora...?

OOC: Okay, bye! Have a nice birthday! =D

 

Roxas continued to carefully saw through the ropes around Namine's hands. He let his hand lightly stay against her forearm as he cut the rope, the boy focusing his attention on her. She was all right...alive. But she appeared so broken as well. How could he have let this go to such lengths? Roxas' eyes stayed on the knife as he ran it over the restraints around Namine's wrists. After a few seconds, he broke through them, and he pulled them away from her so her hands were free.
