Sora felt another pang of surprise when he felt Kairi continue to kiss him passionatly, not letting any of the heat die down. He wasn't sure what was running through her head at that moment, but he could feel two of her emotions in his heart, though he could only place one of them. And that one that he could place was strong, burning love. Though he still didn't understand what brought this on, he didn't want to do anything stupid and ruin the moment. So he brought up one hand, setting it on Kairi's shoulder as he kissed her.

 

Kairi kept her eyes closed as she kissed Sora, glad that because they were kissing he couldn't see the expression held in both her eyes and on her features. Though their hearts were connected, the fear inside Kairi was masked by her love for Sora, and that was what she focused on so her other emotions didn't ruin the moment.

 

Sora continued to kiss Kairi, though he started to gently slow it down. Kairi normally didn't act like this, and he was curious as to what was up. Still, he could only guess that it was because her emotions were affected by what was happening with Roxas and Namine. Still though, he could hardly sense any of those emotions compared to the love coming from Kairi's heart, and that strong love made Sora feel out of breath in the first place, the kiss adding to that feeling.

 

Kairi felt the kiss slow slightly, Sora causing that, and she went along with it, the passionate kiss gently transitioning to one that was slower. She had to admit, this was a little unlike her, to suddenly kiss Sora with the fiery love that was in her heart. But she loved Sora far too much to leave without one final kiss goodbye, though he was unaware that it was a farewell kiss. Maybe it was better that way...

 

Sora was glad when Kairi allowed him to slow down the kiss, making Sora feel a bit more in control. Though confusion rested in his heart, he tried his best not to worry about that emotion but to enjoy the moment with Kairi instead. For some reason, he sensed it was an important moment. But then again, every moment they were together was important anyway.

 

Kairi felt the kiss slow even more, and she allowed it to, starting to feel out of breath from her sudden action anyway. But she kept her lips interlocked with Sora's as the kiss continued, wanting to savor this moment in case the plan turned unexpectantly against her, though she didn't really know what the plan was anyway. Regardless, this moment was more important, Sora being more important.

 

Sora kissed Kairi lightly, their kiss continuing for a few more moments. Whatever was going on, he couldn't say that he minded having a close moment with Kairi again. In a way, this reassured him that she wasn't angry about his decision to keep her away from the action. He was glad that she trusted him with this matter. It was an extremely hard decision, but Kairi was his first concern, as always. Their love was too great for him to give up easily.

 

Their kiss became light and slowed even more, Kairi kissing Sora for one more second before she gently and slowly separated her lips from his. She stayed close, but kept her eyes shut as she exhaled, out of breath from her own action.

 

Sora exhaled silently when Kairi released him from the kiss, his eyes staying closed. He couldn't say why he let them stay shut, but perhaps it was because he wanted the moment to last for just a few more seconds despite the fact that their long, passionate kiss had ended.

 

Kairi inhaled softly as she kept her eyes closed, but let her hands stay in place as they lightly set against either side of Sora's face. She hated keeping secrets from him; it made her feel like she wasn't being true to who she really was. And with her decision with Roxas...she wasn't.

 

Sora inhaled softly before releasing the breath, feeling Kairi's hands stay on the side of his face. Now that their kiss was over, he almost wanted to ask her what had sparked the kiss in the first place. But he held back the desire to voice his question, somehow getting the feeling that silence was better for this moment.

 

Kairi slowly opened her eyes, her violet-blue orbs falling on the boy she loved in front of her. Was she betraying him? Was she giving up on them...their love? Kairi dismissed that last thought from her mind; she would never give up on Sora or the love they had for each other. Her heart wouldn't allow it.

 

Sora kept his eyes shut, Kairi's gentle touch comforting him. He was still upset from everything that had happened early, and from everything that was still going on. But at least Kairi had helped make him feel better, and he was grateful for that. She always had a habit of helping him feel a little more upbeat, even if the situations around them weren't good.

 

Kairi inhaled a breath before she exhaled, her eyes on Sora. "I love you..." she said softly, the words spilling from her heart, "...so much." She felt the love-filled aura around them, and she was glad that that seemed to be the only emotion; she didn't want Sora sensing her fear or sadness.

 

Sora opened his eyes at the words, his ocean-blue orbs meeting Kairi's beautiful violet-blue eyes. "I love you too," Sora said softly, meaning it deeply. "More than you can understand."

 

Kairi felt her lips spread into a faint smile at Sora's words, feeling the love from his heart to hers. She looked into the boy's dazzling blue eyes, feeling like she could melt away in them.

 

Sora softly returned Kairi's smile, the teen only aware of the strong sense of love that hung around them.

 

Kairi gazed at Sora for a moment, taking in his charming, loving smile and his stunning, gorgeous ocean-blue eyes one last time. Just in case something did happen, she wanted to remember his face, though she could never forget it; it was engraved in her heart. She leaned forward and kissed him lightly on the lips before gently pulling away again, starting to let her hands leave his face.

 

Sora wasn't as surprised as he was earlier when Kairi leaned forward and gave him a light kiss on the lips. The air around them was full of love, and it only made sense that she would kiss him again, even in such a small way. His faint smile spread as he kept his eyes on Kairi, gently taking his hand off her shoulder and sitting it in his lap.

 

Kairi let her hands fall back to her sides as a small smile returned to her face, the girl standing upright again. She should probably go rest, and let Sora get his own rest as well. And besides, she would rather leave when the moment was full of love and peace, the way it was now.
