Namine shut her eyes as she felt herself becoming more confident, more words leaving her lips as she continued to sing the lyrics.

"And I'm here to stay
Nothing can seperate us
And I know, I'm ok
You cradle me gently
Wrapped in your arms"

Sora looked at Namine for a moment, recognizing how beautiful her voice was as well. Still though, he was more surprised with Kairi's part of the song, since he had never heard her sing before. They may have been together for half a year, and friends for even longer, but she had never sung anything around him. He wasn't surprised that she had a beautiful voice, but he was still stunned, having heard it for the first time.

 

As soon as Namine got done singing, the song picked up speed slightly, Kairi reacting the same as she strummed the guitar in rhythm, the first part where she and Namine sang together coming up.

"I'm home..."

Kairi had closed her eyes to sing that part alongside Namine, the notes higher than the rest.

Roxas kept his eyes on Namine as she finished singing her part, and then when she and Kairi had both sung, he got chills. Their voices seemed to blend perfectly together, and that had a great effect.

 

"I'm home..." Namine sang this simple words with Kairi, her eyes opening as she picked up her strumming. They held that note together for a few moments before Namine ended short, taking in a breath as she repeated the line on her own.

"I'm home"

Sora's eyes widened slightly when he heard Namine and Kairi singing together, their combined voices giving him chills.

 

"Oh... Oh...
I'm wrapped in your arms," Kairi sang, opening her eyes once she finished it and looking down at her guitar as she played the right notes in rhythm.

Roxas' eyes had grown in width within the last few seconds of the song, the boy astounded by the girls' voices.

 

Namine listened to Kairi's words before taking in another breath, preparing to sing this next part together with her friend.

"And I'm here to stay

And I know, I'm ok

Sora silently listened, in awe of how amazing the girls sounded together.

Kairi sang the last words alongside her best friend, looking over at her for a second with a smile before her own solo part came up, the strumming of her guitar slowing greatly as she looked down at it.

"And I'm here to stay
Nothing can seperate us..."

Roxas' eyes looked at both of the girls as they sang, and as Kairi sang, they flitted over to her for a few seconds before they went back over to the girl he loved.

 

Namine slowed her strumming along with Kairi, the song slowing down as it came to the final section. Right after Kairi finished her solo, Namine sang one of her own, her eyes shutting as she sang the lyrics she meant with all her heart.

"And I know, I'm ok

Wrapped in your arms
I'm home"

Sora kept his eyes on Kairi, even after Namine started singing again. He stared at her in stunned silence, still surprised as to what was happening here.

 

"I'm home..." Kairi sang with closed eyes as she strummed her guitar, hitting the last note before letting it fade out.

Roxas was aware that he was holding his breath as he stared at Namine in amazement and awe. He was truly touched, feeling the lyrics reach his heart when they left Namine.

 

Namine softly strummed the guitar, playing a few more chords before she let them fade, the room becoming silent once the song was finished. Her eyes stayed closed for a few more moments, Namine reflecting on the lyrics. They meant a lot to her, and after playing through it again, she felt much more comfortable with the idea of Roxas hearing it.

Sora kept his eyes on Kairi as he silently released a breath, an awe-struck expression written on his features.

 

Kairi kept her eyes closed for a few seconds after the song ended before she opened them, exhaling a breath softly as she put a hand against her guitar. The silence between her and Namine wasn't one of discomfort, but understanding. The song was very powerful, and she was sure she wasn't the only one thinking of her boyfriend.

Roxas silently let out the breath he had been holding in awe, his eyes stuck on the blonde in the living room.

 

Namine opened her eyes after a few moments, looking over at Kairi. She offered her friend a soft smile before shifting her gaze back to her guitar, gently shifting it and lowering it into the guitar stand that sat on the floor beside her stool.

Sora blinked softly one time, sensing peace coming from Kairi. He loved seeing that emotion from her, and it made a warm feeling appear in his heart--even warmer than it had been when Kairi had been singing.

 

Kairi returned Namine's small smile before looking down at her guitar. That was probably the best rehearsal they had had this whole entire week, which meant they were ready to perform it for Sora and Roxas. She was actually a little surprised at how well she had played that time; usually she was a little weaker on some parts. Kairi pushed herself off the stool slightly, placing her feet back down on the floor as she set her guitar back down on its stand.

Roxas couldn't help but smile. That performance had been wonderful, beautiful. It was obvious how much time the girls had put into it, and now he felt foolish for expecting the worst when they had been keeping this a secret. Regardless, Roxas was very impressed. The boy glanced at Sora with that same smile on his face before he walked out from his hiding spot by the doorway, heading toward Namine silently.

 

Namine brought herself up again, sitting comfortably on the stool once her guitar was in place. She couldn't deny the truth now; they were definitly ready to perform that song for the guys. It was coming much easier now, and that proved that it was time to let the guys in on their secret.

Sora's eyes widened slightly when he saw Roxas silently enter the room, the brunette not expecting such a forward move by his best friend. He reached for Roxas slightly before taking back his hand, shaking his head slightly. Well, the girls would know that they were here soon enough, that was for sure. How would they react to Sora and Roxas' secret presence...?

 

Kairi made sure her guitar was in place on the stand, the girl making sure her guitar pick was in between the strings securely so she didn't lose it. Her back was still to the doorway, the girl unaware of someone entering the room behind her.

Roxas' eyes stayed on Namine as the smile remained on his face, the boy's silent footsteps bringing him closer to the blonde. She had put so much effort into that performance, and it had come out beautifully.

 

Namine gently put her pick into her jeans pocket, knowing she wouldn't lose it that way. She kept her back turned, the girl reaching up one hand and tucking back a strand of blonde hair before letting her hand sit in her lap beside her other one.

Sora felt slightly embarrassed that they were about to be discovered, or rather, they were going to announce themselves. But how could he leave after hearing Kairi sing like that? There was no way. A small smile appeared on his lips as he rounded the corner, taking one step into the living room before leaning himself against the wall and watching Roxas' movement.

 

Kairi crouched down a little, picking up the strap that she had taken off her guitar before the rehearsal. She started to hook it back on in silence.

Roxas approached Namine in silence, stopping just behind her with a warm smile on his face. He then brought his arms forward, slowly and gently wrapping them around her form from behind.

 

Namine's eyes widened slightly in surprise, the girl feeling a pair of arms wrapped around her gently. She looked down first before her eyes wandered along the arms, her head turning to the side as she found the source of the embrace. "Roxas?" she questioned in surprise, her shock written across her features as she lifted her head and looked into his eyes. When had he gotten there...?

Sora looked at Roxas and Namine for a moment, hearing the surprise in Namine's voice. Now it was obvious to him that the girls had no idea that they were being watched throughout their performance.

 

Kairi turned her head at Namine's voice, her eyes falling on her...and the boy behind her. Kairi's eyes widened, the girl getting up from her position on the floor and standing up as her eyes stayed on the two in great surprise and shock.

Roxas' smile grew slightly as he looked at the girl now in his arms. He could see the surprise written all over her face, and that smile turned sheepish. It was very apparent that they hadn't known he and Sora were here.

 

Sora shifted his gaze to Kairi, seeing her surprised as well. That wasn't surprising; if Namine hadn't known they were here, than it was doubtful that Kairi would have suspected it either.

"What are you doing here?" Namine asked in surprise, the question leaving her lips without thought. But then she thought of a better question--one that she was much more curious about. "How long have you been standing there?" she asked softly, her eyes lowering slightly before going back up to Roxas.

 

Roxas loosened his hold on Namine a little. "Oh...well..." he started, turning his head to glance at Sora over his shoulder, and at the doorway where he had stood during their performance. He turned his head back to face Namine, his blue eyes meeting hers. "...A while," he answered.

Kairi's eyes were still wide, her lips parted slightly in surprise. She looked to where Roxas had glanced, her eyes growing even bigger at the sight of Sora. Wait... What?!
