"You're still not getting this pendant!" Kairi sent a water blast to him.

 

"then I guess Shen shall stay dead" Versago said as he shot a blast of darkness at the water

 

Michael shot a blade of wind at Versago.

 

Versago tried to dodge but got hit

 

Riku appeared and wrapped him in a cover of rock.

 

Versago used some darkness and broke out but then Sora ran up to Versago and slashed him with the keyblade

"d-damn do you even know anything about this pendant" Versago said

 

"No, and we don't want to find out," Kairi said. Riku said, "Why is it so important you need that pendant?"

 

"for the power that it wields that is what I seek and since your not going to give me I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you about because I think it would be nice to let you in on a little secret. For you see even though Lenne isn't Micheal's daughter she still has royal blood running in her veins" Versago said

 

"How is that possible?"

 

"its because of her father Shen for you see long ago around the time you and Kai were born there was a kingdom not to far from your own. Shen was the son of the king and queen of this kingdom and 4 years after he was born I attacked the kingdom and obliterated it with my forces. Judging from what Iv'e gathered up I say the king and queen sent Shen to Micheal's kingdom so he could live in peace just before I killed them" Versago said and laughed "that kingdom had many mysterious powers and the pendant holds great power. Only the descendants of the royal family may have it" Versago said

 

Kai gasped and looked at Lenne. "Versago, if you want to that pendant, then look for me in the darkness."

"Wait, Kai, you're not thinking about that......" Kairi asked as Kai slowly took Riku's keyblade and the pendant. She looked at them and nodded.

 

"Kai, what are you doing?"

 

"Take good care of Lenne for me....." Kai put the pendant around her neck and aimed the keyblade for her heart, Kyo shouted, "Kai, no!" He was too late, Kai pushed the keyblade into her heart, and a group of lights appeared. Each one surrounded each of the dragoon armors and they changed.

"Our dragoon armor is improved!" Kairi looked at her armor.

"Like Kai's vision." Riku stared at her as Kai began to fade away, his keyblade returned to him.

 

"Why did this have to happen?" Michael said as he fell to his knees, tears forming in his eyes.

 

"Micheal, Kai just enter the darkness, by releasing her heart...... I can take you to her...." Riku held out his hand to him.

 

Sora was shocked "n-no" Sora said

Versago couldn't believe what he saw "d-damn it all" Versago said

 

"It should have been me...." Michael said to himself, not paying attention to anything around him.

 

Kairi knelt by his side, and heard a familiar voice singing, “Angel white of labyrinth blue, do you see me as I see you? Soft darkened eyes haunted by dreamless sleep. Is it your ghost I see in the mirror? Reach out to touch me, dearest dream of mine. Open your eyes, say you're alright. The glass shatters at the softest touch. Is there a soul beyond the shards?”

 

Michael raised his head up nd listened, tears still falling from his face.

 

Riku and Kyo listened to the voice as Kai's body slowly began to appear. “Warm tears sting my eyes as all of these sweet memories flood back to me. Reminiscing now, the sun will set beyond the cruel mountain range. I'll still be here, begging your heart to beat. My existence is not the same without you here... “
