"I think he means more to you than that. That's just me thinking though."

Haku glared at his father defiantly.

"You'll have to kill me to get me to leave."

 

Ken clenched his fist "you idiot" Ken yelled to say but then suddenly there was a sound comming from the trees. KEn suddenly ran towards Haku and tackled him down and layed ontop of him "d-damn I told you to get lost" Ken said

 

"What the heck is going on, dad?! Get off of me!"

Krysta finished washing the dress and hung it up to dry.

 

Ken struggled to get up. He managed to get up and turned away. A bunch of arrows were in his back. Ken jumped forward and cut the assailant in half

 

Haku ran over to his dad, drawing his sword to get ready to attack anything else that moved.

 

THere semmed to be no more people

KEn fell down and layed there "damn you should have run" Ken said

 

Haku pulled the arrows out of his fathers back and tried to patch him up.

 

Ken coughed out blood

 

Haku took his father back to the grove. Krysta immediately started to treat his wounds.

 

"its too late for me. Those arrows had poison" Ken said

 

"You think some stupid poison can stop me from healing you? I know all about poisons and know that this one is fairly weak to the stuff I've worked with in the past." Krysta said before she started to make an antitoxin.

Haku was stunned to hear his mother say that.

Was she trained to be an assassin or something as a child? He thought to himself.

 

"this is a totally different poison...created by Kuro" Ken said

 

"Kuro is terrible at making poisons then. If he had half a brain, he would have used a poison that killed on contact." Krysta said as she forced the antitoxin down Ken's throat.

 

KEn drank the antitoxin but then suddenly coughed out alot of blood. IT seemed the antitoxin made it worse some how

 

Krysta examined Ken's blood.

"Figures. He used a mixture of rubashi and kiara poisons. They have a tendency to counteract most antitoxins. There's only one antitoxin that will work against this mixture." Krysta said as she started making the antitoxin.

 

KEn continued to cough out blood in tremendous pain

 

"There is only one way to administer this antitoxin. It has to be injected straight to the heart." Krysta said as she got a needle ready.

"Haku, Lara. Hold your father down. Once I inject this into him, he'll be flailing around like a madman. We don't need him biting his tongue off."

Haku did what his mother asked him.

"Ready, Ken?"

 

Ken nodded and was ready

 

Krysta plunged the syringe into Ken's heart and injected the antitoxin.

 

Ken just stayed there as he got injected
