Kingdom Hearts and the Legend of Dragoon continued

"Maybe, but it's been so long, I forgot your name." Kyo told the man.

 

The man smirked "the body that I was in when I killed you. I beleve his name was Versago" the man said

 

Krysta took her mother to Edric and Sayu's grove to keep her safe for the meantime.

 

"Versago is resting in the spirit world with his younger brother, aids of the goddess of summons, Aerith. So, as my dear friend, Ansem the Wise, would say, 'What is your true name?'"

 

"Pathetic mortal my name is Kuro" Th ehooded man said as he took off his hood and looked down at the body of Krysta's dad

 

"So you escaped, huh?" Kyo took his dual-bladed sword.

 

"a very long time ago" Kuro said as he shot something at Krysta's dad changing him more demonic and bringing him back alive

Rose her her arm "wait Krysta I want to tell you about me and your dad" Rose said

 

Miko held out the dragoon spirit of darkness and changed into a dragoon. Kyo waited for the attack.

 

"Tell me then, mom."

Krysta's dad got up and let out a demonic roar.

 

Kuro smiled "now you wont be so useless anymore" Kuro said

"long tme ago I was a very poor person. I lived on the streets and tried to survive. My life seemed to be going good for a while and I was starting to gain money until your father came and kidnapped me. He gave me a choice either to become his slave or die. Scared for my life I agreed and he had his way with me many times. AFter many times I eventually had you" Rose said as tears began to run down

 

Kyo changed back to his dragoon armor and readied himself.

 

"I always wondered why you were so sad around him. Now I don't feel so bad about killing him."

 

Rose smiled "im glad you did. Now Im not his slave anymore. If he was still alive i would have to follow my word and be his slave" Rose said

 

"No you wouldn't. I won't let anyone treat my mother like some slave."

The demon began to attack Kyo.

 

Kyo placed a divine barrier up as Miko saw the other spirits were reacting to something.

 

Rose smiled and stroked her hair "thats very sweet of you but when you were born your father was going to kill you. I swore I was going to be his servant forever if he didn't kill you" Rose said

Kuro smirked as he crossed his arms and watched

 

"That's why I learned to fight, so I could protect you, mom."

The demon hit the barrier repeatedly, trying to break through.

 

"I want you to use that power to protect yourself" Rose said

 

"I have to protect you too, mom. After all, you're the only family I have."

 

"I can't hold the barrier for long. We have to find the other dragoons." Kyo told Miko, she nodded and went to the grove as the spirits led her.
