Awww, man. I don't want to pull out that immersive book/dictionary I have at home that translates 2 different Chinese languages, Japanese, and Vietnamese to English and vice versa... Arggh, that thing weights a ton (copyright = 2004, new and heavy?) Or I could use the Internet, but I tend to give books a higher trust than the Internet. Maybe I can get ロクサス to help me out... (he's probably too busy doing something else...)

It's that time when the tough get's going and you don't budge an inch...

My reason is that, plus the fact that I'm fine with the Japanese. Wouldn't make much of a difference to me.

My Japanese PS2 smiles heartily. XD

EDIT: And I understand those who don't want to import if they have trouble with Japanese. It's a valid reason for not wanting to play a game you won't completely understand. It takes away some enjoyment.

However, translations for stuff will probably come really fast once the game releases, so it's not completely hopeless. But the fact does remain that at most, you're going to be reading off paper as the game's going--which doesn't really feel the same way. XD

    Up to you, though.

Don't really have time to start learning Katakana, for the time being KHFM was enjoyable to me even though I didn't understand the text. I found out what was what as I progressed through the game. I can see the Kingodm Hearts series as being import friendly, but I would definitly have to learn some Japanese if I wanted to import a Final Fantasy.

Also, remember when KH2 came out in JP?

ALmost 1/8 of all shipments/sales went out of country. :/

Yes! I was part of that 1/8! XD Although I played the NA version first, then I imported the JP one and played it to see the difference in voice acting.

NA was terrific, but the JP did just a little bit better, in my opinion. Blame Aerith's NA voice actor. HAHA.

Oh! And the amount of lines they changed from the JP to NA was massive. WOW! They transformed Hayner into such a smarta$$ in the NA version. His lines in the JP were far more docile. XD

I know Katakana, as well as Hiragana. And like 600+ or so Kanji.

I taught myself over the summer just for this occasion. xD

Damn, you know more Kanji than me. XD My Kata and Hira are fine, but my lack of Kanji is probably because I usually decipher the speech rather than the subtitles. Half the time I don't even think I read the subtitles o_o.

Knowing the Kanji helps though; it'll definitely help in the translation wave that will hopefully start once people get through FM+.

Well yeah. I'm fine with japanese text...

Though I'm VERY slow on translating. I crammed it all in so fast I kinda forgot maybe a fourth of them; on top of that I also can't remember some of them.

There are a good 100 that I remember perfectly still...like mountain, river, water, fire, etc.. Simple things.

Hopefully that will be an advantage. Though it's hard.

Katakana? I'll look into it when I have time to learn another alphabet =o.

Can you give me a link or something to it?

    Good!

    It's a good experience!

I'm such a nerd though. I only took it this year because I want to be able to read and understand JP games. xD
