Killing Spree

In the midst of Kira's developing utopia, a new obstacle has arisen to separate the notorious demigod from his perfect world. A serial killer has been killing for his own agenda and as a result has caused different factions to arise; one for Kira, and the other for the Serial killer. Both sides passionately support their god, and violence has often been the final result of their political friction.

In this RP, players will chose to join one of the two factions, help in the Serial Killer investigation, or be an accomplice to the Serial Killer, all the while living life in the city of Mirage, an epicenter of conflict between the two groups. Currently, only OC's are playable.

Description: is a petite 18 year old girl with waist length black hair with the top layers (down to just below her ears) dyed white. Wears Gothic-style clothing, however it is normally in white rather then traditional black.
Back-story: Silver committed her first murder as a child, no older then 8 years old. The victims her mother, step-father, her brother and her sister. However, no one ever suspected her for a moment as she was just the poor child who only just escaped with her life. And since her first taste of blood she's carried on ever since, but in a planned but unpredictable manner so she has never even been a suspect within the murder enquiries that followed. The Serial Killer's need for accomplices has since provided her with a fresh source of victims, and blood.

OoC: Well let's get this thing going, shall we?

IC: Light scribbled one last name down in his notebook. His hand was near the point of cramping; it had been a long day of punishing criminals. He released the grip on his pen and let it fall onto his desk and roll off to the side. He held up the notebook to the light and examined the work. It shone of glory in his lustrous eyes.

"Another day, another step closer to... perfection."

He put the notebook down with care and closed it gently. He took it in his hands, delicately as one would cradle an infant, and stored it away in his desk drawer.

Feeling he deserved a break, he reclined in his chair and turned to the right to watch the news for the sake of enjoyment as opposed to searching for criminals to purge. Light was half asleep as anchorman read a more morbid story.

The investigation of the mysterious homicides of thirteen people in the city of Mirage over the past month looks bleaker, as no blood samples, hair follicles, finger prints, or any other kinds of forensic evidence have been found at the crime scenes. More information will be disclosed as the investigation squad finds more leads. Approval ratings are down for ma-

Light shut off the television and thought intently.

Well isn't this interesting. And also very inconvenient. Kira needs to deal with this killer, but there isn't much that can be done without a name and a face. Maybe I'll finally have a challenge... and some more entertainment.

 

*as kazuki was leaving the police station he saw the news broadcast and said to himself
Damn it.The serial killer just killed thirteen more people,and crimnals keep dieing of heart attacks every day.I thought it was bad enough just having kira around,but now there's a serial killer on the loose who is untraceable.I don't think even kira can kill him.I just wish this would all end.

OOC: Okay, let's do this...

Mike was just comming home from his work. He saw that there was a message on his answering machine. He hears his girlfriend's voice, just checking if they were still going on the date the next day. He decideds to call her back.

Hey baby.... No, i'm okay.... Yeah we're still on for tomorrow..... yeah at around 8.... okay bye.

He slowly slips into his pajamas as he is watching the evening news. He sees a news report on the television about a serrial killer still on the loose. He washes his face in some water and sits down for some dinner. He continues watching the news seeing that other criiminals were killed that day.

"At least Kira can get some of them. If i had Kira's power, i would..."

He heard a thump outside his window. It was dark so he decided to walk outside to see. He couldn't tell what it was in the dark, but he was feeling a small book in his hands.

 

Silver was bored. Oh so very bored. It'd been days, weeks, months even since she'd even so much as felt remotely threatened by Kira, or by anyone or anything. It'd been so very long since she'd even felt so much as alive. Everyday was the same, she'd get up, get dressed, watch TV eat, wait for a call that never seemed to come. She often thought bitterly to herself that promising to become that certain someone's accomplice may just of been a waste of time, she had 'things' of her own she wanted to 'take care of'. But no, so long as she was this guy so-called accomplice this was out of the question. Then from the depths within the darkness of the room she was sitting in a giggle began, which slowly but surely turned into a manic, shrill, spine chilling laugh.

She'd realised something that had given her her much needed fix of adrenaline and danger; She was beating a supposed god!
There was no trace of her out in the world any more, only her birth certificate, but you'd have to know who you were looking for then. No one called her 'Sarah' it was always 'Silver' because of her strange hair. And not only that she'd never so much as had a parking ticket on her criminal record, it was spotless. No one had ever thought of her in a enquiry for a moment as there was never a trace, she always made sure of that. No matter how strangled the route they'd never get to her.
The power surge from the thought was so strong, so enjoyable. Once the insane yet oddly joyous laughter had died down to a giggle once again she thought to herself: Was that feeling of pleasure the same reason that Kira did what he did? Was he a fellow power-junky? It seemed so much more likely then him being "Lord Kira from the depths of Hell whose come to rid the world of non-believers and wrong-doers" because if he was surely the name and face thing wouldn't be a restriction. It made so much sense, to her the thought was nothing short of delicious.

 

OOC: Hey guys, I don't want to bring L into this just yet...

I'm saying this because if there's more than 10 victims, L would probably get involved in a case like this.

And... I hate to be picky... But...

Anyway...

I'm going to get pretty violent in this... You know, a lot of blood and insanity. Stuff like that.

"Kira..." The man laughed, his messy, bloodstained hair drawn over his eyes. He was seemingly going to say something else, but he could only laugh more.

"That.... Haha, that fool. That arrogant fool that everyone calls some excuse for God... for now. It won't last long...."

The victim in front of him was soaked in blood, and had stopped breathing moments before. What was stopping him from finishing up?
He couldn't think of the perfect finishing touch this needed to create the link between it and his other murders. Just one little detail was all he needed to change around... then it would be his. Or maybe he didn't need to change anything. His way of killing was already unique in many ways, at least in his eyes.

It was still missing something.

He took out a small, sharp knife, and carved a symbol into the pulse-less wrist of the dead victim. It looked almost like a backwards "K", but more like a lowercase "X" closely proceeding a lowercase "L".

"There..." he muttered to himself, chuckling. He had already cleaned up anything that might lead the murder to him.

He pulled on his gloves and sweatshirt and flipped his hood over his bloody hair, leaving the formerly empty warehouse. The only feature visible on his face was his satisfied smirk.
