Kingdom Hearts II Kiara in Pride Lands

Now here's a scary question. We help Simba get control of the pride lands and everything, but when you go back the 2nd time, we find out that Nala is already carrying out Kiara. Umm, just how much time was inbetween those 2 visits? Because maybe a good while, I'll take that, but if it was a matter of days maybe, than I think we've got a problem. Not too mention, they show Kiara in the credits, so how much time passed between then? I kill my brain everytime I think of this.

Oh, and here's something, what if we get to go to the Pride Lands and fight with Kiara? That I wouldn't mind. Going through the Lion King 2 story wouldn't be so bad

 

Well, we have to consider the fact that these are different worlds, and as such, the way time flows within each one can be unique. We as the player are pretty much resigned to thinking that time is more or less universal in all of them. But just like that Realm of Darkness has a slower flow of time than the Realm of Light, the worlds themselves could also have a -less- slower/faster flow amongst themselves.

 

We never really got an exact timeline for Kingdom Hearts II, so it could have taken place across five years for all we know (though that is highly unlikely). A lion's gestation period is about four months, so from the first visit to Pride Lands to the second, it was probably only a month or two. From the second visit to the credits, another month or two, at least.

 

it's just, it happens within such a short amount of time. If this were really true, then does that mean the time would be kinda the same between Castle Oblivion and The World that Never Was? Because Roxas is out for weeks, and yet it doesn't seem like Sora and Riku were in there for weeks. It just doesn't seem possible.
But either way, it's just so strange to think that it happens within that amount of time. I mean, thinking about Port Royal, I would have guess maybe around a week, if that. I just always figured that the time was the same for every world

 

Well, you could also consider what Plums brought up; a day passing in, say, Radiant Garden may not equal a day in Pride Lands. If you think about it in terms of our solar system, a day on Earth is shorter than a day on Neptune. So even if a week passes in Radiant Garden time, it may only be a few hours in Pride Lands time.

It's really impossible to get any sort of timeline without official things being said, such as what we got with Days.

 

ahh, my brain can't take this. I need Nomura to send me an answer, because I need to figure this out. Every time I play and get to that part, my brain always goes into hyper mode and starts thinking of so many different ways this happens

 

You could consider that the time it takes to travel to worlds can be greater than it seems. The game part just makes it look fast because its a game but in reality its possible it took them a while to go somewhere. Its also possible that time flows differently in the Lanes Between (the area the gummi ship is in). An example of this would be the order of the first 3 worlds the characters from BBS go to as in reality what happened would be normally impossible.

I'd agree with Misty's interpretation of the solar system. Or to confuse you more think of Narnia, they live out 30 years in that world only to come back it being 5 minutes later.
Same thing applies here, you could spend one day in Radiant Garden and it could have been months in the Pride land.

Also another theory to consider: us as players can spend the entire night playing KH2 and beat it in one day, Sora on the other hand would have to actually sleep and eat something that isn't ice cream. So it could have taken months for all the events of KH2 to actually unfold, we're just not show the meaningless sleeping/eating/notbashingthings parts.

 

I would say the whole journey took around a month or two, maybe much more, five months max. They have to fly a ship all the way from one world to another, travel across each world, et cetera. The game's form of "time" is determined by how much is completed by the Player, though in game, it may be a few months.

 

I figured it was more like a matter of weeks or something. 'Cause in a few months wouldn't Organization XIII have had what they wanted by then?

And I thought the lanes between were what Terra, Aqua, and Ventus used. I figured that what Sora and everyone used was something different.
