Okay, here's the deal: I have a date with this guy who I kind of have been admiring from afar recently. A mutual friend set us up on this date, and for once... I have no idea what to wear.
So for some insane reason or because I'm a little tipsy maybe I'm letting you decide members of KHV.
    What shall I wear?!

The date consists of dinner, a movie and possibly going out somewhere later. Also, this is my first official date which proves how sad my life is, I'm 18 and this is my first date. Haha...

    Options:
    1. A nice top, skinny jeans, Converse
    2. Black strapless dress
    3. Navy polka-dot heart-cutout dress
    4. Green dress
    5. A nice vest, leather jacket, skinny jeans, boots

    Other: please list below.

aren't you looking too much into this? I can't really be the best help with this, but is this like a nice normal dinner or is it like in a nice place or something? And what movie are you watching?

Well it is hard to tell with the dresses without seeing them.

I think 3 sounds good. Nice enough to show you care, but not so much that it is liable to freak him out.

Also, I've yet to be on a date myself at 19. You're fine.

Okay, if I were you go I'd wear something comfortable. Don't show tooooo much skin please. if you're gonna show at least show enough to make the guy wonder and stuff.

Um, just don't over dress too much if you're just gonna go to the movies and dinner (it depends where you're going though lol). You can wear a nice floral shirt, a skirt and sandals. I mean, that's what I would wear I don't know.

But in the end hey, you choose whatever you want to wear and what you feel most comfortable in. Good luck on your date!

I am willing to guess that I would like the black dress most, but I would have to see them to judge accurately.

basically what you don't want to do is over dress for something that doesn't need it, and be underdressed for something that you might want to dress up for. Can you show us pictures of those clothes so we can get an image of what you're thinking of wearing?

I'd think option one be good for the movies. The dates I've been on have had my date usually wearing jeans, a tank top, and a jacket.
Except when I bring her to a dance where she'll finally wear a dress for me(damn worth it), so if you plan on seeing the guy more you could always save the dress for special occasions.

Plus it's freaking cold in most movie theaters..go with jeans.

Edit: Oh derp, be yourself. It's your personality that your date should like, not what clothes you're wearing(I say should).

    1, or 3.
And really, I hope you listen to all the advice, and know that your personality will be the ensuring factor.

Wear a dress. If you want to let him know you're taking this seriously.

but you don't know if he's taking it that seriously. I think options 1-3 seem the best choice

I'll put up pics tomorrow, okay?
I can't put up pics for options 1 and 5 though because the jeans in question are in the wash >_>

Any piece of clothing that shouts '****' at you will surely make men fall at your feet in delight.

I'll withdraw my comment at this point since I'd say she's in good hands.

If my dates clothes are shouting at me I'd think it's time to pursue other options.

Option 1 is best. i probably should be here, since you said KHV guys, but im here anyways

my reasoning: as previously mentioned, movie theatres are freezing, especially in summer when they have the AC at full blast the jeans will keep you from shivering from head to toe (unless that what youre aiming for, idk). but, (again, as previously mentioned) you should dress according to where youre eating. if its a fairly common place, casual is best. if its not, formal.

what i would really suggest would be black jeans (if you have them) and a nice top. this way, its casual, but can pass for formal.

Clothes seems to be the best option.
Go with what you think is appropriate and what you think looks good and is comfortable. It's your choice to make, if he's a good guy, he shouldn't care what you wear, because it will look beautiful on you regardless.
